    Great reviews - thanks! I bought the Poluz based on your reviews and recommendations for snorkeling. Have just finished trying it in a pool and find that the updated version lacks one of the problems you mentioned - the buttons not quite lining up with iPhone button icons. When I first tried it inside without depressurizing it with the vacuum pump (the new feature since your review), I did indeed find that the buttons were not working reliably. Then after I depressurization the buttons worked flawlessly even though they did not look like they were perfectly aligned with the phone buttons. Also worked flawlessly in the pool. Only drawback with this case as far as I can see - can’t change focal length or zoom once inside the case. Not sure why depressurizing makes the buttons suddenly work well, but it does! Have not tried the red filter but likely will not need it for shallow depths in blue water. Using it with an iPhone 12 Pro, and anticipate (🤞) that it will likely also work with the 15 that I will be getting this fall.

      Thanks for the info. I upgraded to. 14 pro so my Old Puluz is now an ornament unless some needs one.

      @@watertrek360 But! The latest model of this Puluz case that seems to eliminate the button problems that you mention is said to work with iPhone 12 thru 14, including the Pros. I have no connection to this company. Just stating my recent experience with the product.

    GREAT VIDEO!! I am going on a dive trip to Cozumel in Sept, so it looks like I have a new dive case...thanks to you!! I have a question however...it looks like most of Puluz cases I'm looking at have the vacuum pump vs not having one. What is your take on them??

      I've not used the Puluz with vacuum case. My preference is still Divevolk.

    Does the same case fit for iPhone 13 as well as 14 pro?

      You have to order the model that does fit a 14Pro.

    Awesome content! Would you recommend this over the shellbox? Usage: for an amateur once a year scuba diver.

      Yes definitely over the shell box.

    Is it necessary to remove your screen protector for the buttons to work, I’m the person who doos her phone once in a while so having no protection for my screen (and I’m also traveling) might not be the best idea..

      Not for a Puluz. I never did. It said to but, I didn't, but I did make sure assistive touch and Raise to wake were on.

    Any update if you have tried the max depth feature of the case?

    • @watertrek360
      @watertrek360  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I have not pushed to the max depth, no. I have also traded in my 13Pro so my case no longer fits the 14 Pro.

    Hi. I got your review about the case. I bought it but the new version which have vacuum system. The case work very nice in 12-15m up but when I went to 20m down the button is hard to press and I cant take the photo in that depth. Any solution that you can advise. Thanks!

      so which housing the IP68? and which iphone? I would try a couple of things. DON'T over pump the vacuum. Try turning on Assistive touch on the phone. Make sure buttons are truly aligned with phone. if all else fails, check with Puluz. you have have defective housing.

      I think I did over pump. When I pumped it too hard. The button also got impact and then the water pressure do the rest. However ever It make me in confidence while I pump softly. Thanks so much for your advice.

    Have you taken this housing near its max depth? Or what’s the deepest you’ve gone with it?

    • @T-C-Time

      70 feet.

  • @Histogramas
    @Histogramas 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    30 feet are 15 meters, right?
    Well, for green waters we need a magenta filter, not a red as you know, so no surprise there...
    If that is a very dense red filter, it's probably best used to depths around 40 feet and below, but then.... we need light.
    And if you use artificial light with a red filter, you better use BLUE filters on the dive lights... (Vanessa, from the "behind the mask" series as a great tutorial on this) .
    But really, that filter is really bad. :/

    • @watertrek360
      @watertrek360  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      the primary point was that from a design standpoint having a filter that you can select, the red filter or not while using the wide angle would help. since it attaches to the filter you can’t do that unless you take WA lens off, then attach filter while in the water. always a risk of dropping/losing it. I have GoPro system where I don’t need to do that. I can select filter variably. yes magenta is for green water. in really shallow water I would normally not use red filter. or if I had the shallow water orange/yellow filter. I’d use that. thank you for the comments. all are welcome.

    Thanks for the Review. You rated the DiveVolk Case a 3, and this a B+. Can you state which you think is better. Or can you recommend the best underwater case for an iPhone 13.
    We usually dive 30-120’ in warmer waters. I’ve been using GoPros for about 4 years but I’d like to purchase a underwater case for the iPhone.

      I've reassessed Divevolk, see attached clip. As mentioned, Puluz is a cheap alternative and for that it gets a B-B+. Still, I would get the Divevolk. It's simplicity, accessories, and greater depth, make it my choice over these two housings. th-cam.com/video/K1wHaP2qBQs/w-d-xo.html
