The Enya .09s are my favourite, I have never had any other .09 engine that could swing an 8X4 with so much authority. I have one from 1966 that is still a runner, I have more than 100 hours on it with an 8X4.

    Nice day here in MO.
Old post, yes, but 'am running a small group of two earlier and two later used OS max 10 and other bantam engines. Can't get the first well-used one to run more than a few seconds on home mixed FAI style 75/25, but runs pretty good on strong smelling, years old 15% nitro/synthetic. Starts and idles idles well, passes pinch test, quite hot to touch, but just stops instantly when tweaking lean for max power. Have to run at what feels like over rich to keep running hard, but does not feel like it gets to max peak before it stops instantly from a high rpm. Probably could be several different things. I'll try its brother tomorrow. The best runner will go on a 6-foot- RCM TNT NO TOW motor-glider. Also have an OS FP 10, some Enya 09s III and IV and a Super Tigre x.11 which I am hoping is the winner since it is the most elegant.

I am trying to avoid starting a collection of motors myself. I do plan on investing in a couple for the planes I do fly. I know a couple guys from Slovenia that do...Fun crazy guys! Greatings from Northern Michigan. I do have an air boat I plan on using on the ice.

Nice engines, It would have been good if you ran the little enya on the same prop as the OS .10s (well as the .15's sharing an identical prop) to get a real comparison of their performance.
My background is primarily c\l and I have a fair bit of experience with both the .10 and .15 fp. Generally the 10.s like a 7x4 and the .15 an 8x4. Going above 4" pitch really hurts the performance for c/l combat and aerobatics. But with props that let them rev, they really come alive when you up the nitro content to 10% or more.

That's interesting, OS 15 FP with 8x4 propeller, 5% nitro fuel, 12120 rpm. My OS 15 LA with 8x4 propeller, 3% Nitro castor oil fuel, 13150 rpm. Many people say, that the OS FP engines are better than the OS LA engines. What do you think?

I am unsure the port differences between the FP and LA series engines. I have never run an LA that small before.

ENYA does not recommend Morgan synthetic fuel for the lapped liner 09. I do not know if the 15SS has lapped steel parts too. I recently wrecked a brand new Quicky 09 on this Morgan fuel after 2h operation time. I read the manual, it said 20% castor. What he $&@§
Got a new Quicky 09 and the rigth fuel and it works well now. How many hours do you have on the 09 and Morgan fuel? Do you use an extra rich setting to make it work?
Btw, keep up the good work! I enjoy your channel.

Those engines are not mine and they have been sent back to the owner. I have no idea the run time on any of them.
