  • "Fat City Cycles/Fat Chance was an American bicycle manufacturing company headquartered in Somerville, Massachusetts. Fat City Cycles was founded by Chris Chance in 1982 and was one of the early pioneers of mountain bikes. Fat Chance Bicycles were considered some of the best designed and manufactured bikes on market until the company was acquired in 1994. Owning a Yo Eddy is the pinnacle for most vintage mountain bike collectors and the value of these classic bikes continue to rise." - Fat Chance Bicycles
"After nearly two decades out of the bike building scene, Fat Chance is well and truly back in business."
    Fat Chance Chris Cross:
"The Chris Cross is an incredibly versatile machine, equally capable of crushing your local CX race, tackling long summer gravel rides and bike packing trips, or fitting fenders for mixed terrain winter training. Adaptable and lightweight, with Chris Chance’s signature handling, it’s designed to keep you grinning with dirt in your teeth, on whatever terrain you shred."

I have a 1990 Wicked Fat Chance that puts all my modern bikes to shame. Chris Chance is a living legend!

I deeply regret selling the Fat Chance Slim Chance road bike I once owned.

@@GravelCyclist Jom, Yes I did. I race for about three years for Chris racing in Northern California doing cross country in the expert class. I raced on a Monster Fat and later a Yo Eddie. I’ve yet to straddle his Chris Cross.

@@davehunt2191 Nice one, Dave. I have only crossed paths with a Chris Cross on one occasion. Would love to own one. I have seller's remorse for the mint Slim Chance I unloaded years ago, full Mavic 8 Speed. Ugh.

@@GravelCyclist Jom, I would love another one myself but, the cost prohibits me. Ugh indeed.

Awesome bikes!! Who welds these frames for Chris? Did he team up with Co-motion cycles or Steve Potts. Keep up the vids, JOM.
