Backpacking on the Oregon Coast Trail

Backpacking a small section of the Oregon Coast Trail. Some of my favorite views to date were found on this trail, and I can't wait to start section hiking more of the Oregon Coast trail.

is this allowed to backpack on this trail? if so can you set up camp anywhere on the trail??

You can backpack on this trail, it's part of the Oregon Coast Trail. I don't think you can make camp just anywhere on it, but there are some spots with established campsites along the way. I made camp in one of those spots.

Did you hike this in March or post it in March? I’m thinking of hiking it late spring and want to get a gist of the weather

I just posted it in March. I did the actual hike the last weekend in August. I'd plan on a solid chance of rain anytime before May. You'll have pretty good canopy cover, but the trail itself will likely be fairly muddy. That said, I'm still thinking about doing this one again in late March or early April anyway.
