Not bad. Pretty short flight, in calm conditions, and near sea level. Any news on flight-test-validated quantities like payload versus range? Craft looks empty in this video. Has it flown with any sort of payload yet, or with a pilot?
@@lspringerjones I suppose quiet is a subjective thing, but anyone who’s done any research on this amazing aircraft will know that it’s been designed to be significantly quieter than any current options and a must for urban mobility future😊👍 have a great day

It’s an amazing aircraft, congratulations Joby. Does it have a ballistic parachute rescue system in case of any structural loss or any other issue that might represent an unrecoverable situation for crew/PAX without a chute? If not, will you be putting one in because other eVTOL makers will probably do so in due course.
@@electricaviationchannelvid7863 That may or may not be so, but I think you'll find it WILL save PAX in many other regimes, given the speeds and heights eVTOLs will eventually attain. I can think of structural failures, collisions, weather /IMC events, equipment malfunctions, etc. all potentially outside of low speed, low alt settings. What's there to lose, apart from having to design the vehicle around this life-saving technology? Like airbags in a car. Market forces will likely see them standard one day, in any case.
Hover requires 10x more energy than "fixed-wing lift assisted level flight", so the aim is to make the transition short and as quickly as possible...but of course there will be other factors...approach and departure angles due to obstacle avoidance...weather limitations...

You did not believe that it will be an "air taxi for the masses", did you? With all the factors of less and cheaper pilot training for eVTOL and lower operating and production cost of eVTOL flying in UAM operations will not be cheap...!
Joby design failed to understand the problem. This tech will 100% certainly fail, just like ALL eVTOL craft, as they all don't understand the problem. Maybe the CEO and I need to have a friendly chat. He is literally wasting over $830 million on something that in 5 minutes I can show will fail. The business model will also fail, as it will never make a profit. BTW, YES I have tech that makes all EV airplanes and eVTOLS totally obsolete that does not need any airports, V ports, heliports or other such costly nonsense. No EV or battery junk needed. 200 times less CO2 too. If you want to ignore me, then waste the money and go bankrupt. Friendly hint...
Can't wait to do this in every city i visit!
Nice. Hardly wait to see more of these.
This is great! Please keep uploading more videos regularly 🙏
how much battery was left and could it do that with the equivalent weight of passengers?
Can’t believe how little attention this company is getting!
Do you have any footage of flights in either windy, rainy or snowy conditions?
Loved the creative annotations too
Can't wait to ride!!!
Amazing. I’m ready for Joby!
what is the range in good and poor weather conditions?
That's amazing, must be much more comfortable vertical landing...
Impressive
Gladly our sky is on the rght track❤ hope see this soon and see you❤❤😮

❤❤❤❤ so nice
Beautiful
Cheer UP Joby~!
Smooth, graceful, quiet, love it,. Can we have some go pro footage of the onboard when it’s flying and possibly off the wings would be awesome 👏 👍

I would like to see it land gliding without engines. Would be interesting as an extra safety feature.
They can lose two of the six rotors and still land safely. Gliding seems to be the literal last resort, not option B or C.
so the wing props controls roll with different prop speeds, rear props control yaw same way Guess s. a&p
