- I have bought a brand-new BMW S1000RR. I wanted to transform it to a track winner, so the first thing to do was to fit it with a racing LeoVince full exhaust. Here is how to hunt it, start-up & rev.

I rode this bike four times with a stock exhaust and I must say, I love it. However, I haven't personally heard a customized exhaust on the s1000rr. If the stock exhaust sounds amazing to me, I am only imaging a customized exhaust sounds like heaven.

hey do you know if the '17 stock exhaust got the same loudness as the 16' stock exhaust?
I think the 2017 is not that loud due to Euro4 regulations. So 16'is louder.
I think that too but do you know it for sure?
i've moved from a 2015 to 2017 and can confirm the 17 is much quieter stock....but...as soon as you take the 17's end can off it comes to life! :)

on my 2014 the mechanic is telling me something about a 02 sensor cheater but I have to see anyone mention anything about that I got the servo buddy did you have to deal with any 02 sensor wires?
When you removed the cables from the rear servo motor, did you remove them from the bike as well? Akra manual says to do this, but I'm a little hesitant since they may be hard to route back.

The warrenty is history the moment you change the fairings for the racing ones. Fortunatelly BMW can sell codes for everything, even for tuning, as long as you have the right money.
I have the exact same bike as you. Just out of curiosity why did you go with the Leo Vince full exhaust instead of the Akrapovic? You make great video's by the way. A little more technical detail would be nice such as tools needed and more explanation of each step. I liked the cardboard over the radiator tip you gave. That was good. Thanks!

Are the stock headers made of titanium?
thats all? you dont need adapt the engine conditions, parametres...etc

Thanks mate! I bought the exhaust from ebay. It’s the titanium racing line from LeoVince. From what I know is out of production.
DriveMag Riders cheers for the reply man... I've heard an akra full system for a 2015/16 possibly fits the 17/18 model, so might give that a try... Dont really like that twin port at the back, if you know what i mean... All the best.
Just curious as to what you spray on the pipes when putting them together
I use universal lubricant, similar to WD40 from Motul.
so a 2015 or 2016 full system will fit on the new 17 models?
I had some issues with the flange collars. The flanges are a bit smaller so i had to adjust them.

I hate how they changed up the exhaust like that... damn eu4 regulations... im trying to buy one this summer but its gonna be so hard to find brand new 2016 model... i was just planning on putting slip on once i get one this summer... I wonder if they offer slip on for 2017 and how it sounds...
Check your dealer, I think there is an Akrapovic short version that fits. It will sound better than stock for sure.
Bogdan Buleandra I know about the akropovic slip on but still don't like that big ugly catalytic converter under neath the bike... previous s1000rr had fairings covering all the way back...
you can fit the 2015-2016 lower fairing (belly) onto the new 2017 model after removing the fat cat

Found it at a local dealer in Milan, Italy. You can find one on Ebay.
