Greatest plot twist: This is the result of the aftermath of the Sky: Children of light after all the Children of Light was save. They stopped the storm from the Eye of Eden and the Diamond thing explode resulting in catastrophic event. After that, the character in red was the Character that you played in Sky managed to survive. That character is now tasked to go to a Journey. Again.

Well, the Journey is 2 hours long, not the destination.
You know what’s still crazy? To this day we never found out who Benkt truly was, or if they knew they were playing with PewDiePie. That’s one of the wholesome, bittersweet parts about this game. Millions of people playing but any one of those people is a person who is on the other side of the world, sitting in their bedroom experiencing this game with you for the first time. Just like we are now, revisiting this video from another side of the world like we all did when we watched it for the first time.
At the end of the game it shows the other players username that you went on a journey with.
But the not knowing who they are but going on this journey together would of made it also extra special.
I miss this pewdiepie. No jump cuts and stupid editing.

I came here because the "thatgamecompany" company has created a mobile game "Sky" and was looking for other games they have created. Journey was one of those games that got nominated for being the game of the year so I decided to look for a good Let's Play.
What better Let's play than an old PewDiePie doing it... Never watched this and now I'm about to. Cheers.

And Pewds its about life and death, you are born, you take a journey, you die and then you are reborn to take the journey again
During the game, it is clear that before the desert appeared, there was once a prosperous civilization that lived there with help of the magical powers of the magical pieces of cloth, however, the members of the civilization got greedy and started wars against each other, eventually, they were led to their own doom and thus their civilization was turned to nothing but ruins. Then there's the player, who the seemingly god/goddess of the people brought back to life to go on an endless journey to, laugh or not, make friends. The player's supposed meeting with another player, and the cooperation of them both shows that there's still hope for the people.

So, here's my interpretation (spoilers, you have been warned):
So I think you play as a member of an extinct(?) species of cloth-wearing creatures. Except they're not really extinct, they've actually all ascended to a higher plane of existence. You play as a not-yet ascended member and journey across the many landscapes as a pilgrimage, a sort of rite of passage. Each landmark you come to you are shown visions of how your species ascended, so that you, too, may ascend (hence why in the pictures the creatures are wearing white cloths, because they have already ascended and become "pure" or "divine". You are not ascended yet, so you still have black skin and a red cloth.)
Along the way, at each resting place, a member of the ascended examines you to see if you are worthy of passing on to the next stage, as well as to pass on the information I mentioned in the previous paragraph.
At the end of the game, you pass through the final stage, the icy/snow landscape, and ascend by dying. You have proven your worth and are raised into the sky by the other members of the ascended.
In your final moments you become a shooting star that rockets around the planet, signifying to the next unascended member of your species it is their turn to take the journey. When you stop, you have reached your final resting place, at the top of the mountain with all the other ascended.
That's also what the star is in the beginning and the light guiding you towards the top of the mountain. A newly ascended member of your species, signifying to you that it's your turn to take the Journey.

This game was remade into a game named Sky: Children of the light
I can see why it would win so much, the way i see the game, your a lonesome spirit, traversing purgatory. the first area symbolizing denial, with other beings in an area of learning, just like when you were alive. the second is anger, much more vibrant and bright colors of red and orange, losing yourself in emotion. the third is bargaining, trying to make deals that most would consider suicide, kinda like traversing your own demons. then you enter depression, a cold feeling that makes you feel like all is lost... then finally, you accept it, and you feel so much better, unlocking your happiness that froze over, and moving on. And the entire time you talk to something that is in a world of white, traversing through a valley of darkness, and ascend to happiness... if that doesn't sound like an amazing game, then I don't know what does.

The first video i watched and got into pewds.
I seriously got emotional at the end of this game when playing it. It is so peaceful and so beautiful and so climatic... my god its amazing.
When this series first came out I stopped watching because this seemed like the kind of game I wanted to Experience for myself. 6 years later and I finally played it myself, loved it and decided to come back and see how Felix enjoyed the game himself. Because this game is very much an Experience.

90% similar with Sky:Cotl. Well, i suggest TGC still had a few ideas how to be like what when creating scotl, thats why they creating just a similar gameplay from their own game.
I respect your decision to play this game, but in all honesty it really isn't a game meant for a 'Let's Play'. I question that it's even a game to be frank, it's more of an interactive experience that you just need to do on your own. The commentary really pulls from the atmosphere that the game is trying to impose. For anyone that hasn't played this game yet (as of 2015) don't watch this video to experience Journey, play it. Especially since it is being released to PS4 on July 21.
Pie Pierrot You would be very pleased with getting a PS4. Sony has been bringing a lot of there successful games from last gen (Journey included) onto the PS4 for those like yourself that never had a chance to experience them.

Holy Crap....I don't expect anyone to believe me (because the chances of this being true probably seem astronomical, but that other guy, I'm 98% certain, was me. I was playing at my cousins house close to these videos, on journey multiplayer, and I think, given exactly how similar it was. That this was me... I could be mistaken, but I doubt it...
The game tells you who you played with at the end by showing each companion you had by their PSN ID, so not to burst your bubble, but I doubt it. There's at least fifty people playing Journey at one single time.
And Journey doesn't have "multiplayer." It's simply an online game, unless you turn off PSN of course.

If it wasn't for Pewds I wouldn't have bought journey and had an amazing experience. And if it wasn't because of journey I wouldn't have gotten ABZÛ and had another amazing experience.

I'm 're-watching this from 2015 And I think I get the story line. There was a huge community of the big white Things, then they made buildings and they thought adding these strange Dragon-like creatures would make it better, but they tore them appear by hatred. Then there was a prophecy, one will come to bring all of us back, for another chance. At least that's what I got from it...
Its a war. They were fighting over the power you have and had a big war. Those dragons are kind of a warship thing.
