Hi Troy ....that sound is unreal .....just wondered about the whole set up , effects , amp etc........it screams so sweet., I noticed on another video you were using a bad monkey overdrive pedal and a fender hot rod deluxe amp.......I,d love to get an electric blue or white lightning and replicate your sound...thanks .....keep on rocking...great job.
Thanks James. I was using a Boss GT-1 with it's Bluesdriver overdrive and then a Bad Monkey. This pdf shows all the settings but with no overdrives but it's the tonal base. troycastellano.com/downloads/EVH%20Clean%20Tones%20-%20Boss%20GT-1.pdf
Nice vid's, I just bought one of these new for $549, $300 off at Musician's Friend for a few days. I'm wondering on the one you ordered, did the description say it came with an "Epi Lite Case" and also state it comes with "Includes custom blue plush hardshell case and a Certificate of Authenticity"...leaving much confusion IMO. I see the blue case in your video and every video I've seen with this guitar has the blue case. Just wondering how what was stated on your purchase description :D They had 13 when I ordered mine yesterday...now it's on backorder.
@@TroyCastellano Just got it today and it came with...the Blue Tommy Thayer Epiphone hard case! Kept seeing "Epi-Lite Case" on descriptions and some rando's response to a Q&A (a Tommy hater to be sure) all had me worried. LOL Out of the box it only needs: fretboard conditioning and for the action to be lowered on the bass side. Great looking full body finish though!
@@kennethh2430 ....hey buddy...how is the Guitar?!.....I'll be gettin' mine soon....I couldn't pass it up!....hope you are enjoying it bro!!....Rock On!
@@Tiago_007 Not on the Tommy Thayer ‘Electric Blue.’ But, I did have my dealer replace the plastic nuts on several of my Epiphone Les Paul Standard PlusTop Pro models and my Epiphone Les Paul Custom with Graph Tech TUSQ XL nuts.
The biggest issue I face with my guitars is humidity. My 'music room' is in my basement and when we aren't running the furnace in the summer, my guitars absolutely hate it. If I tune a guitar and leave it over night, I would bet serious money that when I wake up in the morning, that guitar will be about 5 or 6 cents sharp....and on every string. It happens on all 4 of my guitar...even my acoustic. It really sucks. To make matters worse, we have one of those humidity control units inside of our piano....so when the humidity drops to a level that my guitars actually like, the piano humidifier pumps bunch of water/humidty into the piano...some of which goes into the room too.... hehehe. I think that I am going to have to start storing my guitars upstairs when I am not playing them downstairs. heheh.
Me too. Especially with an Epiphone! Now Gibson, I have a few solid Les Pauls. I will do a "Will It Stay In Tune" on those soon. It will be interesting to see how they fair!
You know... Gibson and epiphone,When you bending the G string... You will runing the tunene very more... My firend have the epiphone matt heafy signature ,When i playing,Eveything is good,But suck tunene ,Sorry my bad english 😂

You could title the song “I’ve got the bends”.......you’re selling me on that model !
It seems like a solid guitar!
Great bends, dude! Good job. I really wanna that guitar.
Thanks! I definitely put the guitar through it's paces!
you are so good.
Thank you!

Thanks man! These should all come with the Epiphone Electric Blue Case! If not, you should inquire about that.
@@TroyCastellano I'm excited, was looking at these before the huge price drop...thought it was a scam lol.

Hey, Troy! Did you use any pencil graphite in the string slots on the nut?
I did not. Bone stock nut!
The specs say Graph tech nut. Did you upgrade yours after you bought it? I’m thinking about getting one.

Nice. Thanks for the reply.
Would rather watch you play that than Tommy any day!
Thanks Man. Cool guitar but I'm an Ace fan!
@@TroyCastellano I love both, Tommy more as a person, but Ace is the man.

I’m amazed it stayed-In. I had a $4,000 Les Paul that went flat on the d & g strings as soon as you bent. Never again with a Gibson

Are you plugged into your amp or computer?
I’m plugged into a Boss GT-1 then into the computer into Logic Pro x.
