I don’t know what’s better.....this video, or the music that accompanies it. This is incredible!! I wish I had this in my childhood memories. Thank you for posting, 360!!!!!
Went there as a kid in 1992 when we were on our Grand Canyon/Las Vegas road trip from Buffalo, NY. My parents were too cheap to spend the $5 per person or whatever it cost at that time, so they sent me in by myself. (Dad sure loved the 5-cent coffee they were selling in the ticket building while he waited for me.) I took a 35mm Kodak "selfie" behind the bars in the prison. I remember being disappointed by the place then, but it sure does stick out in my memories. So glad to have been there.
The problem with this place was basically a business deal going bad. It was either supposed to be given over to someone or something about the land. Anyway it was bad all around. The place was abandoned and left to the desert winds. I believe two of the parks were built but the one in Arizona just wasn’t good, now the current owner of the land is destroying everything and selling it as scrap as he plans to use the land as a new housing area. I feel this entire thing would do better at one of the Hanna Barrera parks where a flintstones ride would be so at least the stuff is used. If the stuff was repainted and repaired and possibly updated to more safer measures as things have changed since what the 50s
The park was built in ‘72. You’d stop to fuel up your pre-emissions land yacht wagon on the way to the Grand Canyon, see this across the road and think “what the hell… yeah I’ll take my kids there” It was a different time
I remember being there 30 some years ago. I see a lot of newer things in the video that I don't remember seeing. I was probably around 7 years old. Still have pictures that I should find to compare to what it looks like now. Parents were stationed at Fort Huachuca at the time. Lived all over the world throughout my younger life. Thank you for sharing
Wow... i remember being there like... 7 years ago. I was on holiday with my parents, we were doing a road trip, i think we were coming from the Grand Canyon and suddenly found this in the middle of nowhere. I loved it. I recognize it was the kind of classic image i had at the time about abandon fascinating places in USA and i have to say it seems they have repaint some stuff. It was all much more dirty and the colors were faded. This makes me nostalgic. It was a really good trip, that one.
Same. We were driving by it in about like 2005 or 2006. We were driving on our way to our hotel in Grand Canyon Park. I was like ten. It was so creepy seeing Fred Flinstone’s billboard cut out looming in the dark as we drove by…
it's like i'm walking through a section from Fallout 76 lol; joking aside, each time i see videos about this place i smile, it's crazy to think it's still around
i miss the Golden era of Hanna Barbera. A time when you could find license items everywhere(Flintstones steak, Flintstone ice cream, Smurf candy boxes, Scooby doo hallowen theme candy,Tom and Jerry kex,) Cartoon network main thing was hanna-Barbera, and there where several push to create theme parks.
I went here 30 years ago! My parents and my 1 year old son and I were driving to Oklahoma and stopped in! Back then they had dino Fred Wilma Barney, betty and the kids around. Looks like they made them take some stuff out, but improved on others! I'm glad to see it standing. I hope it doesn't close. Kids had such fun! That slide was too hot for us!
I'm surprised no theme park has come with the idea of adding a Flintstones land or Jetsons land to their parks that would just be amazing. Universal you can have my idea 💡 you're welcomed.
Universal used to have a small Hanna Barbara section but they ended up retheming the ride and area many times. I can’t remember if this was due to licensing or just because the characters aren’t as relevant to kids now a days. There’s a bunch of videos on this topic.
I'm 54 now. I have some of the fondest memories of my childhood at this place when my family visited there in 1977. I have thought of playing here with my twin sister Kim at least 100 times over the years. Unforgettable!!
@@compuserveuser2779 I can see how it would have disappointed a 90s kid. I mean, think about the difference in the toys of the 70s vs toys of the 90s. B. I. G. difference 😁
barneys and the policeman's house look a bit better than fred's house. I dont know why they made his place look so cool in the cartoon all these years, barney is more well off than him
My family and I drove by that on our way to our hotel in Grand Canyon many many many years ago. It was about 2005 or 6. I remember Dad driving by it in the daytime and then driving by it in either the early dark of the morning or evening. It was creepy seeing Fred Flinstone’s billboard cut out standing there in the dark…
Taking into account that it's a nostalgic thing for many & it's in a nostalgic rout, Rout 66, I'm sure it could have a great touristic potential attraction if refurbished & signaled together with the rest of Route 66. If Europe has the Camino de Santiago (Saint James Way) between Spain & France, the most touristic route in America if well repaired, advertised... it could drive tourists from the world over to the parts of America less popular than New York, Philadelphia, Boston, Miami & California. I would rebuild those abandoned diners too. Now that Disney is going woke much of their disapointed costumers would go to a Flintstones' park, especially if the park is a large one, with rollercoasters, waterslides... What I mean is that a larger Flintstones' theme park could be built too, perhaps adding Snoopy & other classic non-Disney themes.
What makes this place special is exactly what it is. I remember this place better from 1992 (age 11) than I do Disney World from 1993 (age 12). There are theme parks and then there are these things.

The music is perfect for this place!

7 years ago and GRAND Canyon makes sense...wait!
GRAND DAD!
it's like i'm walking through a section from Fallout 76 lol; joking aside, each time i see videos about this place i smile, it's crazy to think it's still around
This place is so camp and luminal and cartoony it’s exactly like fallout
That is awesome! It would make a great photo spot for a group dressed like the Flintstones and the Rubbles!!!

Yabba dabba do. Looks fun, especially if you love the Flintstones.

This feels like a fever dream- I have memories of this from when I went as a kid, and it always felt like I made it up in my head 😂
I went there before when they said they were gonna close down. Thia was about 6 years ago.
the perfect setting for an awesome battle on "the walking dead"
What a funny place to show on here! I’m glad to see this, the south west road side needs some love and attention too.
This is awesome. Thanks for the video!!!
Hey I remember that when we were riding by it coming back from the Grand Canyon, stopped and took a picture on the wooden log car.
I remembered this we use to stop there when I was a kid
I watched that show at my grandparents house before I’m 16 years old
Such a whacky place, I like.
Amazing place 💜 Thank you for sharing 🙂
Nice place to reserve the whole park for a family reunion and have BBQ catering company do all the cooking.
I saw this when I was 9 or 8 in 2019 we had fun and after we got to Flagstaff az. Good memories
This is so nostalgic for me

Kids dont know the Flintstones or Jetsons sadly. It’s held up well, some desert landscaping would do wonders

I think it's time to bring this old abandoned park back to life.
I've yet to stop anytime on my way to the grand canyon. Soon!
Went pass this place, as my parents and I were heading to I-40 to Nevada
barneys and the policeman's house look a bit better than fred's house. I dont know why they made his place look so cool in the cartoon all these years, barney is more well off than him
i vividly remember passing by this place when we were on a trip to the grand canyon.
so that's what it looks like in there...
Amazing, I love it. What kind of camera do you have ? I really want one, and I don't know what camera to buy 😭

This place looks really cool! What is the song you used?
Do they serve burgers, fries, and cola thêre? It séems like a great place to visit.
I wonder how many people come through.
I hope they have an annual pass with monthly payments.

As a kid, I would appreciate this park. He he. Loved the FlintStones. Bam Bam needs to put on a little weight I see. LOL! :))
That is so cool
What genre is this music and how did you find it
Music comes from Epidemic Music.
Toxic visitors: This theme park is not fun.
Flinstones Land Tour creator: At least I have a theme park.
Toxic visitors: *TRIGGERED*
I'm surprised they let people still go in even after abandoning it
It's not abandoned. He says in the description it looks like it is though.
There's a lot of puns about this place being ancient.
are there any rides?
Wait I thought this place was closed down...is it still open?!?!

i want to live there
That’s a lot of walking around, it’s too hot for all that I would’ve gave up soon when we parked 😂and then when I see that hot slide 🛝 Oh No
Kinda scary. Would hate to be there alone.
What’s scary about it?
what is happening
omg we went there on a family vacation on our way to the grand canyon !!
where is this at
Michael stands in front of this and shouts "WIIIIIILLLMMMMMAAAAAAA!" within the first hour, or I give you my next paycheck.
I thought it was torn down?
Love
GRAND DAD
I was here / at park in 1974....long ago in far away.. well ya know.
Oooh
Yabba-dabba-doo!
I thought there was an old dude sitting in the jail.... I remember he had a long white beard 🤔
there was! but loads of weirdos broke into the glass displays to steal things and whatnot. so I imagine that the old dude might've just been taken
i would quite happily live there as a part of a community of weirdos
Funny
BARNEY, MY PEBBLES!!!
its a backroom level at this point💀
For everyone saying if they have food rides then shut it down in 2021 forever
Kinda looks like bootleg Flintstones
8:15 Take that flat Earthers... even The Flintstones knew that they word was round'ish. lol
Hope the Rona hasn’t hurt their business to badly
Post apocalyptic playground
I’ve been there when I was like five years old, only time I was there almost got bit by a rattlesnake.. Never been back since
Weird place
🤍
This place is depressing
Yabba Dabba Doo. More like Yabba Dabba Don't.
i would have asked for my 5$ back
