My least favorite classic EVER is Romeo and Juliet. I've made a few comments on other tubers' videos about this...(like 2). It's a big deal for me. It is actually one of the main reasons I refused to get my certification to teach High School too. As for Being Audrey Hepburn's text language...I know several people who *shudder-gag-shudder* shorten things like 'sez'. I am never sure if they are trying to use some obscure type of text language or if they just don't know how to spell.
The overhyped book I hate is Divergent, the sequel I would sacrifice would be Allegiant and the book sent to the flames would be Insurgent. God, I hate that series.

Funny you said Crossed! I actually liked the series, though the ending frustrated me. But one of my family members was reading my copy of Crossed on vacation and forgot to take it out of our beach bag, and so it is extremely damaged by a storm that went through. Meant to be rained on, apparently!
I'm so glad to find someone else who hated Heart of Darkness. I had to read it for Literature class, and Joseph Conrad is the lecturers favourite author. I'm honestly surprised I didn't hurl it at his head.
I understand what you said about the Darkest Minds. There are some parts that made me want to put the book down. I know this video was a few years ago, and you might have read the other two books. If you didn't, let me just say: The ending and the other two books are so worth it. There are still the slow parts, but there are also absolutely amazing parts that you will want to have read. If even after what I said doesn't make you want to read the rest of the trilogy, at least go read Through the Dark. You don't have to really have read the Darkest Minds, and the novellas are fantastic.

Oh, I HATE when authors try to use text speak in their books. I've read books where it actually made the message unreadable... I think the closest thing to text speak we have these days is people using no capital letters and no punctuation and like the words stan and drag, whatever that means. :P
I was forced to read Heart of Darkness for AP English back in high school and it's scarred me for life. I can not stand that book for the life of me. I tried to get rid of it, but no one wanted to keep it. womp.

I wasn't able to finish the darkest mind. the main character was so weak. The book was so good at the start but then around the middle I wasn't into it anymore and I found the big surprise about the leader of the camp so PREDICTABLE.... sigh

I haven't read the last book because they don't sell it here (selling the first and second but not the third - what's wrong with these people) but although in Crossed there isn't much happening it's still interesting. I was very emotional throughout the whole book. I was on edge - will she find him or not, if she finds him - how will she do it. And there was him, so different from her and we hardly know sth about him, he was just very interesting to me. And I could feel her emotions...idk I just loved it haha. But I can undestand why you didn't like it...she was taking a lot of time to find him.
