When WWE breaks arena sales records, it usually means that they raised ticket prices.
There were audio issues during the preshow on peacock also, most notably there was package music playing over the announcers as they were talking for minutes on end.
Which would have improved any AEW show.

Mine on peacock was all messed up also, the screen was slowly rolling upward with no audio for 27 minutes before it went all green and corrected. Nothing would fix it.

Punk costing Drew MITB cash in makes perfect sense after Punk was left all bloodied in Chicago. Retaliation was expected from him.

Personally i thought Jay would win but looked highly unlikely because the Usos will reunite once Roman returns to face off Solo led Bloodline.
As for LA Knight he will face off Logan Pierce to win US title and Chad Gable is still not there in stature to be a champion.
Carmelo Hayes is definitely a future world champion but his time is not here yet. Another couple of years.
And most of all Gunther will be a champion for a long time post his SS win. So in way WWE saved Jey, Drew, Knight future championship opportunities by making Drew win MITB and Punk costing Drew the third time.
They didn't have Punk come out during the MiTB ladder match because that was too predictable

I'm not sure who they wanted to win the match if not Drew. None of the other guys are world champion material (still don't know how Preist is), and Drew has the Punk situation going on so he clearly wasn't gonna win the belt

For instance Motown, the Seattle Sound and delta blues. Those guys all shared the same techniques and whatnot but did it their way. Like you wouldn’t say John Lee Hooker stole from Muddy Waters or vice versa but they have shared characteristics. That’s how I view the Samoan move set.

@@shuckyducky3471 Don't give WWE THAT much credit...they still have dumb booking decisions. I can easily see them letting Damien beat Gunther to give him that extra push that he doesn't deserve. He isn't shit, but he's not anything special or unique either. He is diet Roman Reigns...very vanilla, he even sounds a little like Roman. Midcard is where he should be challenging or holding titles, not the main event.
Gunther is an NPC mid carder. Not better. He has zero promo or presence. Ring general and does the most basic moves.
Gunther should win but will lose. No idea why anyone at WWE likes bondage Undertaker

It's funny. I was at MITB up in the nosebleeds. No one around us knew that Priest didn't kick out. It was hard to tell. But everyone saw Tonga Loa miss that lowblow.

The reason Priest isn’t getting over as world champ, is because he’s not THE GUY in his group. The main focal point of Judgement day is Rhea, so having someone above her doesn’t make sense.
It worked when Finn and Priest were tag champs, Dom was North American champ and Rhea was Women’s champ.
That’s like having the Rock be the focal point of the Nation of Domination, but they’re putting the world title on Farooq. Doesn’t make sense
This ppv was so cursed with botched spots. The women's money in the bank match where I'm surprised and glad no one was injured. The second title defense for Damien Priest where something messed up in the match. This particular one was huge for me and took me right out of the match/night. No way was that not a three, either Damian should've kicked out no matter what the planned spot was with Drew, or the ref should have just counted three and then figured out where to go storyline wise from there. This show for me was a swing and a miss by the WWE.
Great match if you want to see women vying to see who could end up as the female version of the Dynamite Kid.
The problem is Drew’s music was suppsoed to hit as soon as it was suppsoed to be 3 if Damian kicked out it wouldn’t have looked like Drew costed Seth. Since it looks like they want to make a triple threat match between Drew punk and Seth 😊

The cheap pops of the briefcase are getting old. Not that I wouldn't want to see it again... but it's been going on for years and to give it a year off so we can focus on straight up matches... I'm good with the swerve.
The MITB has only been around for 15 years. I thought it was longer till I looked up.
I just think all the people who are angry at the fact there won't be a cash in for a long while need to realize that they'll forget about that once all these big match ups and stories start to build and occur. The roster is stacked, and Cena's retirement tour, The Rock, Roman and the OG bloodline, Orton turning on Cody... LA Knight if he win the US Title could have a good run... I just don't think the briefcase being gone is gonna hurt anything at all.

People call Jim Cornette out of touch with today’s wrestling, which in fact, he may be, but that doesn’t make him wrong about his view on today’s wrestling especially these kinds of matches. First, I’m 37 years old and grew up in the new generation/attitude era so from that standpoint, I guess I was spoiled to begin with. But back then I didn’t feel like I was watching choreograph aerobics like I do today.If you enjoy this era of wrestling to each their own. But I’m with corny 100%. Today’s shit is the shits!!
I missed the PPV live, but recorded the first replay and it went to an adbreak shortly into the Sami vs Bron match, and came back to some old PPV, like Hell in a Cell or the Chamber from years ago. Then more ads, and came back to the proper PPV, but missed what happened in Sami and Bron's match.

Listening to Corny bitching about his cable provider, I can hardly wait for WWE to switch to Netflix. I hope that means they will also be in charge of their PLEs in stead of Peacock. Their constant blacking out and editing out when people say a cuss word or they think a cuss word is being said is becoming tiresome. FOX is really bad.
HHH talked about that in an interview. While not saying the words that WWE is looking forward to less of the censure that Fox is doing, he said in a round about say that they are forward to the change.

I feel it was better when it was just a Wrestlemania thing and not a ppv event. There was a prestige to winning it there because it was a proper place to plant seeds for future stars. Imo it got ruined when Swagger won it when there were more deserving stars in the match like Drew and Christian. That point was further exemplified when they made the match into a whole ppv that same year.

No offense to the talent in WCW, but imagine if Goldberg lost to Perry Saturn or Raven clean when he was on tv for less than a year...you couldn't take him serious. Brock Lesnar when he was pushed as the next big thing didn't lose a match on TV/ppv in 2002 cleanly until Big Show beat him and even that involved a heel turn from Heyman and a chokeslam on a steel chair. Very dumb booking that buries a talent

I personally think Damian Priest is World title material and he simply made a mistake now I'll grant you that it was a huge mistake lol but the best of the best have all made mistakes here and there. As far as how the match went prior to that mistake by priests if you did not enjoy it you have to blame Seth Rollins because even though Damian is the world champion you know for a fact Seth is calling that match.

The women's ladder match was the best of the show.. Priest vs Monologue Messiah was the proverbial bowling shoe.. Easily one of the least exciting Money in the Bank events ever.
