Not been a huge fan of Touché Amoré, no matter how many times I somehow get gravitated towards their awesome name, but I highly appreciate them on a different level from this episode as I love Sun Kil Moon, Shudder to Think, The State/Wet Hot, Townes Van Zandt, etc. He's onto something that there's no wrong time when getting into different music, maybe in the future it'll click for me to enjoy them.
been waiting for this one! jeremy is what got me into vinyl and im super thankful for touche amore and everything they have done for the vinyl community
Seven things you must do before you die ! 1. Listen to slow, mellow jazz while looking out a window while it's raining outside. 2. Go to a Heavy Metal concert to listen & feel that loud, heavy sound vibrate through your entire body. 3. Smell a freshly opened new vinyl record. 4. Listen to The Cure's 1989 album "disintegration" from beginning to end. 5. Travel & spend a week in a completely different country & experience their culture. 6. Tell everyone in your family, that you LOVE them. 7. Shop at an Amoeba record store.
I absolutely love "What's in my Bag" series, Amoeba. But one suggestion would be to name the song and or songs played by the artist featured in each episode sharing "their bag", that plays in the introduction to their episode. I would like to know which Touché Amoré song is played at the beginning of this episode, because it's sounds great, and I must have it, any help?
Well I figured it out, it's their song "Green" th-cam.com/video/3LHcaKf7mcc/w-d-xo.html, but still Amoeba, please take into consideration my suggestion for future episodes, thanks
@@globalcrashofficialyoutube8250 ye i agree, thank you for finding it i was just about to shazam it, would be nice if they could just list all the songs used in the description.
I am a newly minted fan of Young and Townes, so I totally get it. I'm primarily a fan of Metal, but have branched out significantly over the last few years. Not sure what causes that.
yesterday I saw mark kozelek at Panera bread buying a starbucks coffee three blocks from fourth street it was on first street and he told me to listen to and appreciate my cat before he dies or I die he said no one knows who dies first I said thank you for your advice I really love ocean beach from your times with red house painters he said we don't play that music anymore stop talking about it and he said thanks and bye
I would like to hear his thoughts on the Fall Silent record he looks at in the quick cuts in the beginning. It is an amazing record and I can hear some of the same strain in his vocals that you could compare to Levi Watson.
He means people who act like they love it who’ve likely never listened to it or only have a passing familiarity with it. I just about guarantee he wasn’t implying the record itself doesn’t deserve its status.
Could listen to Jeremy talk about records forever
I really enjoy it haha
Listen to his podcast
This dude seems like the chillest/nicest dude ever.
Stage Four was one of the absolute best records of 2016.
Get rid of “one of” and ur 100% right :p
One of the best albums ever
"There is no wrong time to get into something."
Man, Jeremy seems like such a cool dude - very honest and down to earth. Also a huge fan of Mark Kozelek and Shudder to Think.

I'd recommend their most recent album highly.
I agree with Ryan. Stage Four is an incredible album.
That sucks you can’t get into them. They are such a great band.
I couldn’t get into them either until I heard stage four, that album is so amazing. I even went to go see them live and they put out a great show
i saw them live recently and holy shit they are good live. good vibes the entire time
I am here for Jeremy’s jazz journey
I would love nothing more than to listen to Jeremy talk about music for hours! Truly awesome dude
Has anybody else noticed that Jeremy’s speaking voice sounds a lot better than usual. Nice to know he’s been resting his voice :)
idk about yall but I've probably said too much but I've never felt more accomplished
So stoked y’all finally did an episode with him!
Why would people dislike a video like this? I don’t get it. Jeremy aside (he’s such an incredible guy, though), this is all personal taste.
i could listen to jeremy talk about music for days.
been waiting for this one! jeremy is what got me into vinyl and im super thankful for touche amore and everything they have done for the vinyl community
Never expected his speaking voice to sound like that. I love how he gets into new things and tries to do so as much as he can. Cool picks!
love listening to mark kozlek talk about his days I never get bored of it he makes everything sound interesting
Of course he picked Mark Kozelek,
because Touche Amore is like a glorious marriage between Sun Kil Moon and Refused.
“There is no wrong time to decide you like Neil Young!” YES! Love it.
I don't even know this guy and his music but he looks so friendly and cool wow
Seemed like such a humble chill dude with a passion for music, great video

Saint Martins to those who read the above list and can do something on it:
DO IT ! !
Thumbs up for the disintegration reference...so true
My bucket list tbh

I like Jeremy more every time I see an interview with him
That Spiritual Cramp hoodie is my everything. Best band!
I already liked Touché Amoré, but once I saw the Kozelek I am now 100% a massive fan
Jeremy is awesome. He has an insane vinyl collection.
What a beautiful person. TxA ❤
Nicest and most humble guy
Fantastic band. Super underrated.
Love you Jeremy.
I am a newly minted fan of Young and Townes, so I totally get it. I'm primarily a fan of Metal, but have branched out significantly over the last few years. Not sure what causes that.
I love touché amoré this is so cool
Holy crap he sounds like such a cool guy!
Good picks.
Love the Suspiria soundtrack.
Kind of Blue is a gateway drug.
Probably my favorite lyricist ever
100%
Yes, Lee Morgan!
I like touche amore . The fact that Jeremy mention Jazz and Towne Van Zandt.

Ever heard of grammar?
@@Vb98765 ever heard any of mark kozelek's (recent) music?
I want that Thom Yorke Susperia record
Shudder to think are amazing
Man I cant even lie I just now got into Townes not too long ago and...damn.
I also got into Jazz in my mid thirties, also through Miles Davis' Kind of Blue
Would kill to have that Sun Kil Moon album on vinyl!

I love you Jeremy
There’s no wrong time to get into something is a brilliant statement
ABOUT TIME!!!
STT, yeah!
You had me at SHUDDER TO THINK! Ten Spot is such a great record, but Get Your Goat is the apex of that lineup.
How has it already been 3 days?
YES
Im in love
YESSSSSSS
FINALLY
I would like to hear his thoughts on the Fall Silent record he looks at in the quick cuts in the beginning. It is an amazing record and I can hear some of the same strain in his vocals that you could compare to Levi Watson.
Shudder To Think!
Nice to find somebody intelligent enough to dig Townes Van Zandt.
The best melodic Hardcore band of all time🖤🖤
Satan of recent times sure
He's a great dude
Is that Keyser Soze?
How is the name from the first song i loved please
Jim Ward did a splendid interview with Craig Wedren
holy fuck!!!! ive been waiting
Ha, I see you guys went for the Stranger Things ending as well.
I'm a jazz poser too.
I wished the whole band was there. Heard the other guys had strange tastes, like one only listened to pop and Jade Tree bands or something like that.
Hey Mister Beaumont, you've got a french name.
Come on man, Kind Of Blue isn't a poser thing. Just a classic.
He means people who act like they love it who’ve likely never listened to it or only have a passing familiarity with it. I just about guarantee he wasn’t implying the record itself doesn’t deserve its status.
"There's no wrong time to get into -------" is exactly why you're not a "poser"
Wat was the first song
Invite CHVE (Amenra) to do this. Please
What song was playing in the beginning?
idk if you found your answer yet but that's Green by Touche Amore, this guys band. Hell of a track
Jon Lam thank you!
he should have got that HIRS record he picked up... js
jeremy i love you
I thought it was touch amore like amore love
Idk
Who disliked thiss??? Fight meee!
2:35, doing the one eyed "all seeing eye" symbol that they all do!
Hey Amoeba :) Could you do this with Angel Olsen, pretty please?
Jeremy is a god.
Took long enough
AWSM
That spiritual cramps hoodie tho
Pinebox Doggo....is that a quickspace avatar?!
. . . He looks like the kid from _Deliverance._
Not as exciting as I would have thought!
.
Do an episode with Lena The Plug 🔌
...
ktfjulien I know I know! Just being funny lol
he seems like the nicest bloke ever, but is his voice ok? 😢
Well that’s him screaming at the beginning and end. You do that for a decade plus and it’s gonna take its toll lol
Please have Phoebe Bridgers on!!
I literally have no idea who most of the people you have on here are.
Who ?
Ever heard of Google?
It literally says who, idiot
this dude has a gf? hmmm not what I would have guessed.
And why is that?
