@@3rdDanPrime You have to balance the risk and reward of any set of moves. A 50/50 mixup with quite a large reward has to come with a relatively high risk. If you give him a completely safe option, he would be quite broken. As it is he has ws3, which is homing and safe, but can be interrupted cuz its so slow. crouch dash or wave dash into u/f+3 is a very safe option that practically never gets punished, but also has lower reward. It might be somewhat steppable but i havent tested. The whole point of kazuya's gameplan is to adjust how to apply your oki pressure depending on how your opponent plays, but nothing is completely safe. Opponent doing tons of quick highs and jabs to interrupt your cd pressure? cd 3+4 is super good at high crushing, practically for the full animation. Opponent sidewalking a lot to beat the ff+3/hellsweep? cd into ws+2 gives huge rewards. cd into ws1, 2 also tracks quite well, and is less risky. Still very high reward. and so on.
Offline is way better for Tekken. I can not break grabs on a 3 bar connection, but offline I can. I can just BARELY block snake edges on 3 bars, offline it’s like that shit comes out in fucking slow motion to me. Ranked is full of scrubs who play the most outlandish shit because you simply can’t do anything about it online. TMM taunts into snake edges for example. Win or lose it’s fucking awful to deal with.
because online is trash. It's laggy and full of insecure scrubs who only want to win, (NOT improve their game overall) so they cherry pick opponents to rank up from, then run when they feel it's not easy/free rank points. I've seen players plug during lobby and quick matches too, so there's pussies in every game mode =) ...(long essay short, lag sucks)
Another reason: he believes offline with no lag is the way the game is meant to be played. Online, players get away with unsportsmanlike conduct. Offline, if anybody tries to T-bag win-quit on Aris IRL, they know they're finna get dropped IRL.
