Let's just all say that both vocaloid and their seiyuu has something unique about their voices that makes them diff.... I don't really care whether people say they're the same...but one thing is without their seiyuu ..vocaloid won't be what it is now...

I said this previously on another video with this song, but I'll say it again. This is one of my favorite songs from this artist. The other song on that single is very good as well. On Amazon, I've written reviews for each of the CD's I have from her, including the rather pricey Formula Smile one, and is the only reviewer from this day from the US to write any. Other singles include the Tokimeki Only Love Mina Yayoi one and the "YuruYuri no Uta Series♪07: Koi no Bakkin Buckingham!" one too. There's more though. She also did a song for each of the following, two of which were video games: Solfege ~Sweet Harmony~ and Muramasa: The Demon Blade (OBOROMURAMASA in Japanese and also did a fast-paced song for the Yozakura Quartet stuff. I'd recommend checking it all out. I don't exactly have everything from her, but it should get you started to say the least.
She does sound like Miku people...she's her voice provider, and it doesn't sound bad either...Miku is a fictitious character, the real person behind her is Fujika Saki.

But yes, she's basically Nyan Cat, Pikachu, Chuck Norris and everything awesome combined into one and transformed into a Super Giga Mega Rainbow Hatsune Miku Godly Creature of Awesomeness, Puppies, Maple Syrup and Muffins.

vocaloid is the title of the software hence its also called program. but vocaloid(s) as the mascot/personificiation/avatars of the voices/humanoid forms are themselves the humanoid forms of the voices/synthesizer. both are true. it doesn't make any sense that the software or box titled vocaloid is only referring to a character or group of characters rather than the software being marketed instead.
@andredidiergijon no. the voice for miku was hers but edited. they need a perfect voice that's on-tune and stuff to make a vocaloid, which means that the seiyu themselves must be able to sing. so basically, saki is a singer with a 'perfect' voice, and they used her voice to make miku hatsune's.
Because Vocaloid provides an outlet for musicians. They don't need to worry about a singer refusing to sing a song. They can tweak the vocals however they want. They can alter the voice to humanly impossible settings. With Vocaloid, there is freedom.

Now actually put a huge team of people whose life work revolves around making singers sound good and have them design a singing program. Regardless of the singer's skill, the result will be good.
