Sig is the only reason I still follow the show
People give Sig a lot of crap, but he has a big heart and really gives opportunities. He is a great guy.

All Sig wanted was a heads up. Its a respect thing especially since he brought Jake on so he wasnt floundering at the dock.

I couldn't stand Sig in the first 5 or 6 episodes. The more I watched, the more respect I have for the man. I'd live to be on his crew. Love to meet the man.
Honesty is best policy. Jake should’ve told Sig from the jump as soon as he found out about it. The man loves Jake like his own son.

Well, hard lesson I learned was that when it comes to work, you must keep your cards close to your chest. You cannot risk your future plans for your career and family. People turn around very quickly and can work to sabotage you. Even your your own parents can mess up your plans by accident. You gonna be careful.

I remember back in the days when i watched this. The ammount of crabs they got back then in the pots is WAY more then they usally get now..
Which is why the fishery is in danger of closing and why they didn’t fish king crab for a few years. Between climate change and over fishing

@@alanluscombe8a553 I think what jakes plan was he wanted to slowly buy more the saga,he couldn’t own all percentage but I think he wanted to be at a 50 50% ownership. The sad part is Jake just ran out of time and lost a lot with the saga,hopefully he can get her back one day. For now the boat isn’t even called the saga anymore which is just heartbreaking

The Majority share holder in the SAGA got done for tax fraud (or something like that) and the boat got impounded and the quota lost - all kinds of shit. So his business partner he had to lose and get a job and look for a captains job. What an asshole, which is why Sig helped him out but said 'we knew this was only temporary, just not this quick'.
Lenny jakes business partner and other owner of the saga was doing tax fraud and had the saga up collateral. He never paid so the banks repossessed the saga,locking the doors so jake couldn’t get in. No one has heard from crooked Lenny but jake and he’s lawyers have been trying to handle and figure out something. Atm the saga is still up for sale at $18,000 or something like that. My hope is that jake can be able to buy the saga back with a partner that he can trust,jake wouldn’t be able to handle all the Expenses with the boat.
