Paul is one of the few guys who really knows how to teach people because he understands what it's all about, and because he prepares professionally before producing a video. I'm from Germany and my English really sucks. But I learn more from Paul's English video tutorials than from any other German video tutorial! That means something !!! Especially for complex applications like JetEngine, JetAppointment, JetBooking video tutorials are very important. Ask Paul to produce more video tutorials. Trying to follow another one of Paul's excellent tutorials (this one) but to generate a simple food menu listing of product name and price. This is my 1st attempt at using JetEngine although I have ACF to fall back on if need be. Added the Post Type with 2 x repeater meta fields within a single text meta field. Added 2 records. There are no other meta fields of any type in the post type. Then added 2 x Dynamic Widgets in a new JetEngine listing, set the field properties and the data appeared as expected for the 1st record. No problems so far. Then created a new Theme Builder Single template and added the JetEngine Listing widget. Selected the (only) listing available (the one just created) but all that is displayed is "No Data Is Found" which suggests cannot find the data of course. At a loss to understand how it appears when designing the listing but not in the template. Tried with a new page as well and same problem. This with Elementor Pro and Hello Theme.

To be honest Marc, if all you need to do is have a motorcycle linked to it's brand I'd simply use a taxonomy instead. So much easier and a better method. 😁

One thing I haven't been able to work out... I'd love to have a faux-taxonomy for the repeater fields. I know you can't have a taxonomy as such, but what I want is to be able to add a repeater entry, and assign it a value from a list (say, a type of tour). Then on the front end, instead of showing the type of tour, it shows the relevany icon or image, based on that field. So if the tour is a wine tour, instead of showing "Wine", it shows the predefined image of a wine glass (without the need to have an image/icon field in the repeater field).

I can't understand why Crocoblock doesn't add the functionality of setting a row maximum number to repeaters. The rows are illimited with JetEngine! ACF offers this possibility. Why not Crocoblock ?

Hi Paul, I switched from ACF and Dynamic Content for Elementor to JetEngine and related plugins. However, I was rendering some repeater fields as accordions using Dynamic Content repeater. hey there. is it only possible, to have access to the repeater field by using the widgets of jetengine? Normally with dynamic attributes i could use near to any normal widget & can choose the dynamic source. But in this list i can only see the "normal" customs fields, NOT the repeater fields...

I have a problem and maybe someone can help me. Well I created a CPT and within that CPT a repeater, in this repeater for example I have fields for titles, pdf and one for DATE, I did all the listing part the way I would like, but what I have a problem with is the time to list , if possible I would like it to appear in the order of the dates and not in the order of registration, I have already tried using that Post Query Order & Offset but from what I have seen it cannot identify the fields because it is inside a repeater.
I have a tennis website, I want to select the profile for each player, rather than selecting the player image and inputting the text profile for every game he is playing in the repeater field, is this possible, in your example you have to select the Image and text for everything. What I'm saying I just want to select the player profile with his Image and text bio already done.

Crocoblock I’ve thought for a long time that you should get Paul to do your tutorials, he definitely has a talent for it. This one was no different, instructive and I think to the point. I’d start also doing more advanced tutorials for those of us who figured out the basics. I always watch these in case I missed something that would make my life easier.

Somebody please help! There is a huge drawback here regarding repeater fields! We're bound to use only Listing Elements! It's not possible to use for example Elementor Pro's GoogleMaps widget or even a simple Heading widget! Am I missing something here because there are no repeater fields available in dynamic tags of default widgets of Elementor!

JetEngine, for now, is pretty limited in utilizing Repeater Fields and has some nasty bugs which I've reported them for quite some time but still.

Building a restaurant menu that I want the client to only be able to go to the backend, add their section. Fill the section with menu items and it will automatically populate the tabs/sections. Ultimately I want to be able to have multiple menu sections on one page and each section only pull in the repeater for it's own items. Is that possible? Structure would be the following CPT - Restaurant Menu Add New - would be the section with the following meta fields Title Field (section name) Description (section description) Featured Image (section image) Menu Item (Repeater) - Name (Menu item name) - Price (Menu item price) - Description (Menu item description) - etc The taxonomy would be reserved for different menus (Bar Menu, Restaurant Menu, Happy Hour Menu, etc) so they can have different types of menus on different pages. The page setup would be Page - Menu - Section (Listing Grid) -- Menu Items ( Embedded listing Grid showing parent listing grid's items) Is this doable?

@@Crocoblock I actually got it figured out. I created a CPT called "Restaurant Menu". Instead of adding "New Menu" I made it say "Add New Menu Section". Each new menu section has an item repeater in it with name, price, description, etc. I then created a repeater listing grid for item. Styled it how I wanted it to look. Then I created a listing grid for menu section and added the section title, featured image and description into it via the dynamic field element. Plus dragged in the listing grid element for menu item. On my "Menu" page I pulled in the listing grid for menu section and it pulls each section with the sections items listed. To make sure that I could add different menus to different pages I created a taxonomy for Menu (set as a category). Now I can pull in only the menu section related to that menu.

Every Paul C tutorial: No understanding of the central idea. No mentioning of the point of what is done. Endless "sausage of language" about endless options. And when the central idea needs to be explained: Say as much as possible and hope that some of it is correct. Then the obligatory moment of self consciousness and a quick "I hope that makes sense". Which is never ever does. Maybe just go back to making tutorials on how to adjust the preview width or how to add an icon.

U can use the Dinamyc image from jetengine, to have control over the size of it, And avoid using the callback to extract image by ID.

Hi Paul, I switched from ACF and Dynamic Content for Elementor to JetEngine and related plugins. However, I was rendering some repeater fields as accordions using Dynamic Content repeater. This feature is lacking in JetEngine. How would you achieve this?

hey there. is it only possible, to have access to the repeater field by using the widgets of jetengine? Normally with dynamic attributes i could use near to any normal widget & can choose the dynamic source. But in this list i can only see the "normal" customs fields, NOT the repeater fields...

I have a problem and maybe someone can help me. Well I created a CPT and within that CPT a repeater, in this repeater for example I have fields for titles, pdf and one for DATE, I did all the listing part the way I would like, but what I have a problem with is the time to list , if possible I would like it to appear in the order of the dates and not in the order of registration, I have already tried using that Post Query Order & Offset but from what I have seen it cannot identify the fields because it is inside a repeater.

Hi Andy! Actually you may use any name of the field. Just make sure you don't use any spaces and capital letters. Underscore sign is optional ;)

Crocoblock I’ve thought for a long time that you should get Paul to do your tutorials, he definitely has a talent for it. This one was no different, instructive and I think to the point. There is a huge drawback here regarding repeater fields!
We're bound to use only Listing Elements!
It's not possible to use for example Elementor Pro's GoogleMaps widget or even a simple Heading widget!
Am I missing something here because there are no repeater fields available in dynamic tags of default widgets of Elementor!

Sorry, but doesn't work neither with Elementor Pro's GoogleMaps nor with the Heading widgets.

JetEngine, for now, is pretty limited in utilizing Repeater Fields and has some nasty bugs which I've reported them for quite some time but still.

Building a restaurant menu that I want the client to only be able to go to the backend, add their section. Fill the section with menu items and it will automatically populate the tabs/sections. Ultimately I want to be able to have multiple menu sections on one page and each section only pull in the repeater for it's own items. Is that possible?
Structure would be the following
CPT - Restaurant Menu
Add New - would be the section with the following meta fields
Title Field (section name)
Description (section description)
Featured Image (section image)
Menu Item (Repeater)
- Name (Menu item name)
- Price (Menu item price)
- Description (Menu item description)
- etc
The taxonomy would be reserved for different menus (Bar Menu, Restaurant Menu, Happy Hour Menu, etc) so they can have different types of menus on different pages.
The page setup would be
Page - Menu
- Section (Listing Grid)
-- Menu Items ( Embedded listing Grid showing parent listing grid's items)
Is this doable?

@@Crocoblock I actually got it figured out. I created a CPT called "Restaurant Menu". Instead of adding "New Menu" I made it say "Add New Menu Section". Each new menu section has an item repeater in it with name, price, description, etc.
I then created a repeater listing grid for item. Styled it how I wanted it to look. Then I created a listing grid for menu section and added the section title, featured image and description into it via the dynamic field element. Plus dragged in the listing grid element for menu item.
On my "Menu" page I pulled in the listing grid for menu section and it pulls each section with the sections items listed.
To make sure that I could add different menus to different pages I created a taxonomy for Menu (set as a category). Now I can pull in only the menu section related to that menu.

Every Paul C tutorial: No understanding of the central idea. No mentioning of the point of what is done. Endless "sausage of language" about endless options. And when the central idea needs to be explained: Say as much as possible and hope that some of it is correct. Then the obligatory moment of self consciousness and a quick "I hope that makes sense". Which is never ever does.
Maybe just go back to making tutorials on how to adjust the preview width or how to add an icon.
