Mine is still lasting but now I know what to get once it eventually gives out. But, the BEST part of the video was the outro, hearing about your son and seeing you so happy Bryan. I have also faced the same problem with m 3600x and B450m S2H mobo with 3200mhz Gskill RAM. BSOD on an unconventional way. Also when I was not using XMP, the system was fine, without any BSOD. Next found out that once I updated my BIOS and from then I faced the issue. Though, I could not find any stable BIOS for the system. Fortunetly with F65 BIOS of Gigabyte, I found the solution.

For BSOD errors the best tool to use is windows event log which will tell you what triggered it. It should show an error that would show a memory dump/ dmp file. Now there are other tools to validate it before you go hardware. One tool you can use is nirsoft bluescreen view. Since BSOD is intermittent it would tell you what part within the OS speaking with the hardware that really caused the crash.
I’m not saying TYC is not correct but this method I have shared should give you a focus on which hardware rather than assumptions. The rest of the test did by TYC for the motherboards is only 1st level of diagnosis unless he does board repair.

That tester only tests PS voltage, you need to load the PS with car bulbs to see what it does when pushed.
I got a bunch of free Cooler Master PS that were dumped by a PC shop, and they work fine under the light loads I use, but you can tell they were warrantee dumped from the PCs they build, ie, can't do high loads after maybe a year.

I picked up a free 10th gen PC. it was absolutely disgusting filthy. After hours upon hours of cleaning it was beautiful. The CPU was dead. The board powered on. Still have to test board with a known good CPU. In any event, I used the case in another build. Cost to me was $0.00. The most interesting part was the god awful graphics card which was a 2070 Super - 8 gb. Because I paid $0.00 I decided to wash it in the sink just like dishes. Came out very nice and clean. Dried it with air and then took it apart. Repasted GPU……….thermal putty + copper shims on memory and then threw it into an older board (just in case). Booted up and yes……….we have a picture. Ran some stress tests for graphics and the card works flawlessly. The moral of the story is……….you can wash components in a sink if your dry them really well using air. This was my first use of thermal putty and copper shims on memory and it worked very well. I had enough of a game to do this successfully as the memory thermal pads were 2.5mm. with putty I could make up the remaining gap and protect components on the board from shorting. I did not need to use any “captan tape” for this. Memory temps under full load are around 55C. Impressive to say the least.

On the AMD w/s it says that taking your RAM past 3733MHz has very little gain, go higher than that point & it will unduly stress your memory controller, that's where the problem lies I think.

@@sol-hb8zg I think you're missing the point. especially with AMD and *especially* with 4 or more RAM sticks, you might not be able to reach the advertised speeds. at the same time, if you buy memory with bottom of the barrel speeds it's often just untested for higher speeds and might be able to reach high speeds with tight timings. I only have one 'slow' kit (2666MHz) but it does 3200MHz with the default timings, and that's not uncommon.

I have that X570 Aorus Elite board paired with a 5900x and 16GB of 3600 cl14 Ram and have never had any issues. I assume you've already tried different BIOS? Either the latest version, if it's not up to date, or a previous version if it is? Also, in the past, I've seen occasional Blue Screens due to shoddy USB ports on cases, or a HDD/SSD beginning to die. I've even seen it happen due to a Keyboard that had a short that only happened when you hit a certain faulty key.

Have you tried cleaning the x16 slots with contact cleaner? I'm suggesting this because the other day I had memory not being detected and the system didnt post but after cleaning the memory sticks with contact cleaner both sticks got detected. Something similar may occur when de slots itself are just really dirty. Making it impossible for the board detecting the inserted device.

Also very good to keep in mind is that if you run XMP or EXPO on motherboards always try to go for 2 ram kits instead of 4. When using 4 your memory controller on your CPU is getting a lot more work so it will crash sooner. All the higest mem scores run at motherboards are always with 2 memory slots used. That's why high-end overclocking motherboards will only had 2 dimm slots instead of 4!
And like Bryan says start without XMP or EXPO if you have issues of instability.

These boards seem too old te be worth saving. I would not put potentially faulty boards in my setups , i doubt you did alot of extended testing per board , its irresponsible tbh.

You use that mulitipurpose spray a lot. Has anyone ever figured out an equivalent on the American market?

I have some ram thats like 3200 and it will only run max 3000 on a b450, so i guess i discovered that about the ram i had. I wonder if this is what happens after my some users laptops randomly crash, wouldn't surprise me if dell cut corners there..

5500, pretty sure it supports the usual speeds.

I have a 7800X3D and 64gb of DDR5 6000mhz and was having extremely random BSOD under load. It took me a long time to narrow down, but lowering to 3600mhz eliminated the issue completely. It also had my PC booting at least twice as fast, it was literally taking 30 seconds to boot before. No performance difference.

You should learn the difference between MT/s and MHz.

Question here have you ever experienced a power supply that sends power to the 20+4 pin connector of the motherboard but not the 4+4 CPU connector?

Multi Purpose spray, AKA WD40, is actually a cleaning agent first. WD40 comes from Water Displacement Formula 40, it's primary purpose is to displace water, so it's mostly solvents and a little bit of mineral oil to leave a thin coat of mineral oil in it's wake.

I aware you don't mine trying Chinese and Aliexpress PC parts, so I'm replacing my Intel Thin Mini ITX H61 with a H81 (I'm aware ones third 3rd, the other 4th Gen). The H81 thin mini is sold as new on ebay, has mSata and two NVMEs but no where for a GPU, and I plan to reuse my DDR3 ram, my mSata HDD and power brick. So what are this Chinese unbranded new 10year old chipset motherboards. I believe that the Chinese are reusing the Chipset and what every else is worth reusing from an old motherboard and stamping a new stick on it, and the BIOS has spy ware programed in it for the Chinese government.

Sheesh kid, RAM performance is in MT/s.
When a RAM is running at 1200 MHz, it can do 2400 MT/s.
    They are not interchangeable.
Do you not know what DDR stands for?
