Ran some stress tests for graphics and the card works flawlessly. The moral of the story is……….you can wash components in a sink if your dry them really well using air. This was my first use of thermal putty and copper shims on memory and it worked very well. I had enough of a game to do this successfully as the memory thermal pads were 2.5mm. with putty I could make up the remaining gap and protect components on the board from shorting. I did not need to use any “captan tape” for this. Memory temps under full load are around 55C. Impressive to say the least.
On the AMD w/s it says that taking your RAM past 3733MHz has very little gain, go higher than that point & it will unduly stress your memory controller, that's where the problem lies I think.

I use starting fluid with top end lubricant then blow everything off with compressed air make sure to do it out side and make sure you have dry air and don't use more than 50 psi of pressure the cylinder lubricant is just a super light castor oil so it leaves a nice bit of sheen on stuff but doesn't leave stuff greasy or oily to where it attracts more dust
if you ever wanna make Lenovo and Dell intel stock coolers look better the coolers from AMD coolers work on them I put a Ryzen 3 stock cooler fan on a Lenovo OEM stock cooler and it looks, well, cooler
Also very good to keep in mind is that if you run XMP or EXPO on motherboards always try to go for 2 ram kits instead of 4. When using 4 your memory controller on your CPU is getting a lot more work so it will crash sooner. All the higest mem scores run at motherboards are always with 2 memory slots used. That's why high-end overclocking motherboards will only had 2 dimm slots instead of 4! And like Bryan says start without XMP or EXPO if you have issues of instability.
im just saying it like that but a real ''good value'' for the PG(power good delay) should be 120 to 300 ms...400ms to me is not good.i had many bad experience whit over 300 pg...just saying
These boards seem too old te be worth saving. I would not put potentially faulty boards in my setups , i doubt you did alot of extended testing per board , its irresponsible tbh.
I have some ram thats like 3200 and it will only run max 3000 on a b450, so i guess i discovered that about the ram i had. I wonder if this is what happens after my some users laptops randomly crash, wouldn't surprise me if dell cut corners there..
I have a 7800X3D and 64gb of DDR5 6000mhz and was having extremely random BSOD under load. It took me a long time to narrow down, but lowering to 3600mhz eliminated the issue completely. It also had my PC booting at least twice as fast, it was literally taking 30 seconds to boot before. No performance difference.
Multi Purpose spray, AKA WD40, is actually a cleaning agent first. WD40 comes from Water Displacement Formula 40, it's primary purpose is to displace water, so it's mostly solvents and a little bit of mineral oil to leave a thin coat of mineral oil in it's wake.
I aware you don't mine trying Chinese and Aliexpress PC parts, so I'm replacing my Intel Thin Mini ITX H61 with a H81 (I'm aware ones third 3rd, the other 4th Gen). The H81 thin mini is sold as new on ebay, has mSata and two NVMEs but no where for a GPU, and I plan to reuse my DDR3 ram, my mSata HDD and power brick. So what are this Chinese unbranded new 10year old chipset motherboards. I believe that the Chinese are reusing the Chipset and what every else is worth reusing from an old motherboard and stamping a new stick on it, and the BIOS has spy ware programed in it for the Chinese government.
Sheesh kid, RAM performance is in MT/s. When a RAM is running at 1200 MHz, it can do 2400 MT/s. They are not interchangeable. Do you not know what DDR stands for?

anyone know of any good alternatives for the multi purpose spray in the US? i havent been able to find any and im sick of using isopropyl alcohol lol.
I think WD40 in the US does much the same kind of things.
And like Bryan says start without XMP or EXPO if you have issues of instability.
i had the same datavac, it died a few weeks ago, kept tripping the power.
Datavacs have become so expensive lately they lost all the appeal.
@@LtCommanderTato i ended up grabbing a blower that uses my drills batteries. Not as good as a datavac but will do for now.
Oh hell yeah, I'm buckling down for this one.
Enjoy the visit with your son.
im just saying it like that but a real ''good value'' for the PG(power good delay) should be 120 to 300 ms...400ms to me is not good.i had many bad experience whit over 300 pg...just saying
products for can yes fix it
Would want to send some of my old stuff but live in another vountry so it aint worth it .
well the 1x is only good for a web office rig and not much demand for them
These boards seem too old te be worth saving. I would not put potentially faulty boards in my setups , i doubt you did alot of extended testing per board , its irresponsible tbh.
You use that mulitipurpose spray a lot. Has anyone ever figured out an equivalent on the American market?
*multipurpose
Isn't that WD-40 in your terrorist country?
I have some ram thats like 3200 and it will only run max 3000 on a b450, so i guess i discovered that about the ram i had. I wonder if this is what happens after my some users laptops randomly crash, wouldn't surprise me if dell cut corners there..
Which am4 CPU are you trying to use 3200 with?
5500, pretty sure it supports the usual speeds.
You should learn the difference between MT/s and MHz.
madmaaaaaaan!
I think motherboards are the worst part to try and fix or find the issue with them.
Lets GO!
Question here have you ever experienced a power supply that sends power to the 20+4 pin connector of the motherboard but not the 4+4 CPU connector?

Can we fix it? probably but we don't wanna
brian play dota 2 to test the rig

Sheesh kid, RAM performance is in MT/s.
When a RAM is running at 1200 MHz, it can do 2400 MT/s.
They are not interchangeable.
Do you not know what DDR stands for?
you should buy a ram or pcie boot code analyzer. Will save you time.
New motherboard broken? Kind weird.
