- Blade and Sorcery's NEW Crystal Hunt Mode just released with 1.0! In this hardcore series, I have PERMA-DEATH enabled, meaning if I die just once, my character is deleted forever. Our mission in this series is to obviously survive, but also collect crystals by defeating more difficult bosses each time, and we upgrade our abilities using these crystals. We can also purchase items from the shop using gold we find in outposts.

Glad to see my advice was so well-corroborated that every point was taken to heart. This was an especially fun video. I didn't even know it was possible to impale a man on a tree branch, and your reaction to the lightning bolt being used against you was hilarious. Either way, you're past the worst of it now, I think. I believe your skill shall carry you to fulfill the cycle. But I'll still give...
A few tips:
1.Shields can do the bow thing, where they imbue in the hand. This lets you imbue a weapon in the other hand without dropping it, as an imbue area is on the shield while doing this.
2. That gauntlet does dampen damage locally, and limbs take less, so if a fireball is absolutely going to hit you, letting it hit your armored arm is significantly better than taking it to the chest. It also might bounce off metal armor like that, so you could, in theory, reflect it.
3. The ending is short and sweet, basically a cut-scene you play and very story related. No big boss beyond the 6th Hekalis (Hector). Don't save it for a separate episode, you'll only be sad.
4. You can play past the ending, by just entering your save again after the credits.
5. There is a secret ending that requires at least one post-game golem from where you are, and a lot of very risky trial-and-error puzzle solving. Might be hard to figure out.
Partially because I love these videos but partially because it would just be fun to see how far you could get, I do recommend at least going a bit past the ending to try and get that secret ending. Even better would be to see if you can max out all crystals and skills without dying and ending the run, but that's like...8? 9? more episodes in this format, so I can see why you might wanna not go that far.

@@Dr.Pickle3 All I shared was that there is no final fight, and it's more for story purposes vs gameplay. I didn't say what happens, what it means, how to stop it, any of the actual important stuff. I didn't want him saving it for another episode only for it to be 5 minutes long.

I'm glad someone playing this game finally got to the Eye ambush. Biggest "Oh shit" moment in this game IMO, bigger than the first Hector fight.
The unbroken game loop for so long makes you turst that they wouldnt do something like this, really got me panicking when i saw those dudes at the spawn

When you need to stealth kill with a longer sword, try grabbing the blade with your free hand to choke up on it! Helps a lot with greatswords and the such too

you can imbue a shield while holding it in the same hand, and bash your sword onto it to transfer the element onto said weapon

Best episode yet imo. Actually felt like you were in danger at times, plus so many brutal kills and intense fights. You can easily tell how much better you've gotten at the controls too. Definitely prefer when you use melee with magic as support, compared to just using magic all over the place
A gravity arrow makes the arrow fly straight for longer and farther
yea it increases the velocity
@@Makita_90 no it has less mass, if you use it on weapons they are easier to use and you can use 2 handed weapons one handed easily

Yo, since you were struggling having to fight in close quarters with long swords before, here’s a tip!
Try Half-swording (Grabbing the blade further up as well as the handle, using both hands.) it’ll give you way more manoeuvrability, make blocking easier and also effectively shorten the sword for you!

I believe the best power is the slow time when an arrow/mage attack comes near you or when you parry some one. It has saved me alot in times that im out numbered.

the way the alarm works is that the enemy has to see you for a few seconds and stay alive
You can imbrew while holding the shield by holding the spell wheel button and then hold trigger to activate you can also imbrew you right hand weapon by holding it over your shield while your activateing the spell hope this helps your future battles to come lol. Really enjoying this series

You can combine your base spells together in both hands to make them stronger, you can also combine one of each spell element together to make new spells. My favourite is mixing fire and gravity.

If youre looking at the map, where it shows the rewards, the amount of coins in the stack will tell you how much loot you can find/how much money is at the end

the boss feild has the lighting bowl thingys, and next to them are full tribal arrow quivers (12) as well as a tribal bow. imbuing the arrows with the lighting grants them the ability to track onto the bosses crystals.
Quick word of advice, you can imbue stuff while holding a shield, just hold the spell use button and you'll see the ball of your spell show up on the other side of the shield, hold your weapon on it and you can imbue it without dropping the shield! :)

Fun fact about those throwing daggers you can use them like normal ones and preform stealth kills they also have a grabbable point at the tip of them which will help you throw them better

When you have a staff, hold the bottom of the two button on the controller in which has the staff. Lightning for example sends out a slash of lightning following how you swing it. Fire let's you shoot fireballs when the button is pressed. Gravity lets you pick up, swing around and throw objects
Note, you press the swap spells button (idk what it is)

The blocking with the arm does kind of work, its just that melee attacks usually do some blunt damage so you still take some damage, its mainly against arrows that the armour will fully block.

I am thoroughly hooked on this series! TimelessVR mentioned doing a knife-only run at some point. I think it would be more fun to see a knife + body + mind build. The Mind tree has some abilities that look like they could make Knife fighting smooth and stylish. I also think "no weapon longer than the tier 3 dagger" is better than "knife only" because it would allow for my style. Also telekinesis from the Mind tree may allow the player to levitate a knife for steal-kills from range.
P.S. Timeless, if you read this, maybe put a counter for alarms avoided for the whole series or maybe a counter for total stealth-kills in the series. I love your stealth game-play!

Best way to optimally use the potions, especially when you're not using it in the middle of battle, is to just basically drink drops of it instead of pouring it constantly, there's a healing cooldown where you waste a lot of the potion in when you pour it. Of course this is just to optimize the healing from potions lol

i got a video idea, 1 weapon can only kill 1 person, you can still use the same sword but not the same sword that was used to kill 1 person. for spells, you cant use the same spell power twice (until back home)
