Handy tip I discovered from TH-cam, Prusa slicer has a slicer feature that can automatically place dowels or pegs, and even dovetails, saves a lot of guess work and/or beer mat calculations/tolerance experimentation, ideal for certain prints for all sorts of reasons, multitasking jobs over machines or to save needless waste on support material.
Hello Robbert. Have you ever considered how a compressor refrigerator device would work in combination with a peltier electric generator. If a refrigerant compressor circuit gives 4kw of energy for every 1kw of energy put in, the peltier device only needs to exceed 25% efficency before it starts making energy from warm air. I know these devices have low efficency but combined with a refrigerant it may increase. I did see that a patent had been applied for a few years ago regarding a refrigerant thermoelectric generator. Hope you explore this in a video. I'd like to see the results.
Great Vid thank you! They say there's no coincidences... I have bobbleheads of which i just gave away 2 for the 1st time as birthday gifts this past weekend! I've also been fascinated w/3D & 4D printing, although i never thought of making my own. Hmmm 🤔
The start of this video is semi correct........ You ever downloaded a .STL file into sketchup and the guy that originally designed it has more triangles in it then a surveyors dirty magazine or the designer has loads of non planar surfaces and geometry that doesn't make life easy to work with 😅😅😅
it all depends on what you want to do with it mate - if you want to do some super clever super difficult stuff - sure why not - if you want to chop it up for a bobble head - piece of cake
That's the bane of my existence. I can usually take it into Blender and make it right. If it's too difficult, I'll usually just Remesh it. It takes a little time, but I'm retired; I have that kind of time.
@@ThinkingandTinkering I am glad u didn't take it as a slight but in keeping with costume trudell was said by pertwee to have worn a teacozy instead if his naval issue cap in the weather
NO! STL file + Rob's head!! 👍 That's fantastic! Great work Rob, thanks for this 🙏
lol - my pleasure mate

it does indeed mate
Brilliant video! I love the variation of content. Keep up the great work Robert!

i will look into it mate
Any of those sidewalk impact generators you reviewed recently should produce power from the wind moving a bobble head statue.
lol - like it!
Thank you, again, both for the 3D info and being hilarious.
lolol - cheers mate

That is great! As usual you made a bunch of people smile" thanks man!

Excellent demo! Great explanations and fun. Well done on all counts 😊

spot on mate!
Nice one!
People are going to want to put that in a TARDIS.
lol - well i do now!

All very well, but where's your sonic screw driver?
I didn't realize you are Dr who until I saw your miniature
lol - cheers mate
I was surprised to see you not using CTRL Arrow up/down to move the objects up/down as to relation to the workplane.
why were you surprised?
Looks a fun project.
it was and a fun thing to have made
You’re more Pertwee vs Troughton 😊
Nice to meet the new member of the team 👍. Are you related? He looks just like you 🤣.

Always thought you had the makings of one of "The Doctors"...

Well, let's be honest, if anyone's going to figure out how to fit a big box into a smaller box, it's probably going to be you ;)
Pretty cool Robert .. lol
lol - from you - i appreciate that mate i really do - cheers
That is great!
cheers mate
Great video but when I get a 3d printer I don't think I will be printing a bobble he'd of you but a great learning video.👍
aww mate! well you have to create a bobble head of yourself and do a video! i would wet myself laughing if you did
You've also got Meshroom to use for photogrammetry
for sure mate
You didn't bobble it though... :(
Hello Sr. Do you had a brother in the Netherlands?
not that i know of mate
