Man!! Dragon Ball!! Super hyped to react to this as it was a MASSIVE part of my childhood!! Should we check out Super?

Yes 100% you should (preferably in English but that’s up to you) and the last opening was from dragon ball heroes. It’s a popular card game in Japan where you use cards on machines to bring them to life in a game.
Its rare to see a dbz, dbs openings from many reactors but most of them are GOATED!
Dragon Ball is a huge part of my childhood so I just HAD to do them here.

I really love GT’s theme more than the others! It’s just so melancholic and yet so happy! Something u you would feel sad that when realising that this song was supposed to a goodbye to Goku and Dragon Ball! 🥺

Dragon Ball Heroes started out as a game in Japan, where I believe it was in arcades, but you can collect cards to put them onto the machine and it puts characters into the game. The premise of it was basically every "What If" fanfiction idea they could think of, they made a character for it lol. Super Saiyan 4 Gohan and Broly? Sure! A Majin posessed version of every single villain in the series? Why not? Goten and Trunks during GT doing the fusion to give us grown up Gotenks? You got it! Anything they could think of to make more characters and sell more cards and merch basically.
And I believe that last Opening is an anime kinda based on the wacky stuff from that game. A lot of Multiverse "anything can happen" shenanigans I think, but I haven't checked it out myself so I could be mistaken about some things lol. I DO know it is definitely NOT canon to the main story lol.

9:00 It's funny how you call it as happy. GT opening is so sad and melancholic for me.
9:25 Premise of GT is the same as OG Dragon Ball. It's adventure to find 7 Dragon Balls. This time they are Dark Dragon Balls, cause they overused the wishes over the years - all the energy that was used being counterbalanced.
Each Ball had a specific mostly evil dragon connected with a wish made in past series. The strength depending on severity of the wish. So from panties to revival of whole world. This adventure is in space, which kinda mixes original DB and DBZ.
It features young Goku, Trunks, Pan (she is Gohan's daughter) and a small robot I think they either picked early on, who linked with the radar, if I'm not mistaken.
19:10 Heroes is I believe a different canon universe. Like totally separate story that mixes elements from all series (kinda a modern GT) - I think it is very much like Xenoverse and other game universe canons.
Main series goes: DB, DB Kai (Z), DBS. And Super is the modern manga as well.

GT's premise was that Goku was turned to a kid by Pilaf(remember him?) using the Black Star/Ultimate Dragon Balls, which then got spread out around the universe.
And if they aren't brought back to Earth within a year then it'd destroy Earth.
It changed alot later, but that was the initial premise.

About the Cha La Head Chala opening which was the 1st op of DBZ where you were expecting Goku to show a Super Saiyan Transformation at the end. He did show it but from a different version cause there are multiple version from almost all the opening here and some visuals of the opening gets change after a certain arc ends.
So kinda sad you didn't see the other version of the openings but cool reaction nonetheless

@@Kazuzo Yeah, it's kind of a shame they only showed one version per opening! The very first opening had at least one other version with different visuals as well.
In case you haven't already watched Super
Freeza first comes back to invade Earth during the second Arc, if you want to avoid how that ends, skip the next sentence. He unveils that during his training, he obtained a Golden Form that acts as a 5th form, he's more powerful than Super Saiyan Blue Goku and Vegeta, but fights them one at a time, losing to the stamina issue again before being killed by Goku
In the second appearance of him, there's a multi-universal tournament, and to get a final strong fighter, they bring in Freeza from Hell
The dragonball super finale is super hyped that it broke the internet, and alsi there is a free stream in my place and almost a thousand attended the finale episode just to watch and scream with guko as he transform

Dragon ball super was massively criticized for being too childish and kinda inconsistent... But who cares !!?? It's dragon ball !!!
People nowaday only see it as meme material and don't know how important in japanese animation's history and it's spreading.

It's interesting, the version I found for Kai's Final Chapters opening had different music, though I think the visuals were largely if not entirely the same...

I’m very tempted to check it out. I was a HUGE dragon ball fan growing up.
So a few things to note if u dont know that is , is that DBGT is non canon meaning its not true to the story its kinda its own spinoff taking place after DBZ and SDBH is also non canon its a promotional anime to sell merch and all the but its has a pretty cool premise and same hype moments. Its something the creators can kinda do whatever they want with so thats why you see some very strange things in there ops

I don't doubt that Gohan was amazing, I just honestly thought he could have been much more. He was always considered someone with huge potential and I thought that's how it stayed really. Even after his hidden power was unlocked by old kai he only had moments in my opinion. Though I haven't seen Super so I don't know what he's done since the last time I saw him which was the Resurrection F Movie and I don't think he was really in the same league as Goku and Vegeta then either.

@@Kazuzo that's the thing. He has his potential but from day 1, he never liked fighting. His goal was to live his life normaly and be a scholar. The original Z dub ruins that which is what Kai was for.
Yeah u should watch DBS it's good u can watch DBS on Hulu then u can watch dragon ball super hero if u want to
I really don't like the song for DBZ Kai: the Final Chapters, that the dub got. The Original song for the Final Chapters was completely different and was a much better song to finish Kai on.
imo the english version of dbz kai is way better

Recorded it yesterday and I'm ahead by about 3 weeks on YT and 2 weeks on Patreon.
You probably know this by now, but "Super Saiyan Red" is not a form, you just mentioned Super Saiyan God's hair colour, Super Saiyan Blue aka Super Saiyan God Super Saiyan is the blue haired form that combines SSG with Super Saiyan.
and Vegeta's SSGSS evolution form was obtained in the TOP arc, you also mentioned his god of destruction form, which he obtained in the manga, so we won't be seeing that in an anime anytime soon, unless they time skip.
Ultra Ego is what Vegeta called it to be an exact polar opposite of Goku's Ultra Instinct.
Dragon Ball Super Heroes is its own thing so Its very much filler

@@Kazuzo Dragon Ball Heroes is a gacha game that's constantly adding new content. The anime bit is little more than the game's hypeman. That said, I do remember there was one thing that happened which was noteworthy if only for what it did for the 'what if?' nuts. Super Goku and Vegeta meeting GT Goku and Vegeta. The Super Saiyan Gods meeting the Super Saiyan 4s. Still, from what I saw, which was a handful of episodes, ultimately it was just endlessly escalating action with no breathing room. I got burned out really quickly watching it. If you want to watch it, I'd recommend only watching a few episodes as most every week. The anime doesn't take time to breathe, so you have to insert it into the flow yourself with breaks.

"Fight it out" is an okay song for Final Chapters bit it isn't as good as the original "Kuu Zen Zetsu Go"... Don't know why they have the English opening for that series alone 🤦🏻♂️
yha dbs is not my fave none of the openings i would like the GT opening then the dbs openings. But yha mine dragon ball jp version of the opening and then the dub version of dbz and then gt dub version
