Wisconsinite here. I haven't eaten at as many fast food places as these guys, but I'm happy Garnt and Sungwon appreciate Culver's! I have a guilty pleasure in Subway because I eat it for lunch every time I have to work an 8 hour shift, but Jimmy John's is a solid pick from Garnt.
In n out is my #1 due to consistency and value. Employees are always friendly. Never had a bad meal there. Everywhere else is too expensive, inconsistent, or both.
@@ONIGIRIKINGUdo you know how to read…5 guys makes a killer burger, but they’re too expensive. In n out is good for the price. And they will deliver that quality every time.
My favourite cuisines in no particular order are Japanese, Chinese, Korean, Italian, Indian/Pakistani, Middle Eastern/Levantine, Indonesian/Malay/Singaporean foods and Mexican.
@@Prismatic-Player I think my comment was deleted which is weird because I only listed countries and regions. My guess is that it's like Canada which has its own regional dishes which are kinda similar to British cuisine. Canadian food does have some influence from American and old French cuisine too though. I'm sure Australia has good seafood, I heard they like BBQs and lamb and meat pies (more New Zealand though). I hear the coffee culture is great too.
Have you ever had Thai? Speaking as a Malaysian, that is THE best out of the other south east/east asian cuisine for me (which is saying a lot because everything else slaps so hard regardless).
as far as i know, the in-n-out fries aren't great because they make them fresh. most good fries are cut and soaked in water overnight, then par cooked at least once, then again to order. In-n-out only cuts and drops them in the fryer, which doesn't let them get nice and crispy. not sure how a lot of other chains do it, but the best fries i have had are similar to the triple cooked fries that Heston Blumenthal popularized in the 90's. you can ask for in-n-out fries well done, but i find eating the fries first while they're fresh out the fryer helps
It seems he doesn't like any condiments that aren't spicy. He mentions hating the vinegary taste of ketchup and mayo but I'm pretty sure there are plenty of acidic Thai dishes.
Germany, like the Brits, really excells more in baking and having delicious cakes and pastries than they do regular cooking imho. I'm not saying their food is bad oer se, but it just lacks any variety. Its just meat, potatoes, cabbage in various arrangements. As someone who was recently in Germany and doesn't eat red meat, I felt there was basically nothing for me that was traditionally "German" that wasn't sweets or potato.
*_YES!_* I am _so_ glad Culver’s was mentioned, they’re positively _stellar._ Fun fact: I first learned about them from a Jonathan Young stream where he was doing a fast food tier list and he put Culver’s at S tier.
You can actually order how crispy you want the fries in In N Out. And i feel they're better than Wendy's or Burger King fries in terms of flavor. You can also order them Animal Style and with Cheese. I feel Onion Rings might help the menue also.
Lol as soon as they brought up Indianapolis Steak n Shake I knew exactly where the conversation was going. The downtown location is a shitshow. Also, I'd be shocked if ProZD hasn't been to Indy for GenCon.
Lol what are the odds I went to that exact steak and shake that Connor talked about. I didn’t go for an anime convention, but to another convention. Such good memories at that steak and shake that my friends and I went to it two nights in a row at like 3am good times
Not a single mention of mexican food is criminal 😭 For fast food my #1 would be rally's/checkers if their portions were bigger, that's really my only gripe with them. Can't go wrong with in n out tho fr. Also love the texas whopper from burger king.
It's definitely a solid choice depending on location. I was put off it for years cause the first time I tried in a long while it was so dry I was choking.
The worst cuisine is anything from the Scandinavian or Nordic countries. Tons of pickled stuff, fermented fish, licorice, etc. Don't get me wrong, some stuff is great (gravlax, meatballs) but a lot of it is really boring and simple or just plain weird
It seems they're just focused on keeping warm and essentials and availability (and just keeping the food last forever) I guess 😂 is stew a huge thing there? If so that slaps but it's hard to go wrong with stew and hard to make it "interesting" if spices aren't really varied in the region.
That's so wild how that's considered a take to be heated about. Where I'm from that's completely normal especially because I live in one of the most hot and humid countries ever and if you leave any condiments just laying about, it's gonna become hella warm and gross 😂
Jersey Mike's is ABSOLUTELY the best sandwich fast food shop. I fuck with Subway more than most, just cuz i love sandwiches so much. But Jersey Mikes is what i eat to treat myself. Its expensive for a sandwich, but SO worth it
SongWon is becoming the physical embodiment of high cholesterol. Next week on his channel he'll be drinking fifty different bottles of various brands of olive oil.
Steak and shake used to be the absolute best but they’ve turned to absolute trash in the past like 5-10 years. I had it for the first time since I was a kid a couple years ago and I couldn’t even finish my burger it was so trash
Italians dont know how to make pizza. Oven baked is shit, its just burnt dough. Now NY pizza is real pizza, that supee cheesey gooey greasy pepperoni slice that stains your shirt with grease is real pizza. Also in n out is super mid, i rather eat McDonalds than it. 5 guys is the best burger joint
Ehhhh if it just means more high quality then the price is warranted (the difference between high quality Japanese food over bad quality for example is SO noticeable). But yeah, typically if it's overpriced for some reason and you can barely taste any difference between that and a cheaper alternative, then that sucks
“Lettuce is the sauce of the grass” LMFAOOOO
i didnt even catch that the first time
I thought joey said "he doesn't eat condoms"
I think that's what he said. It's a shortened word
Yeahhh we all eat condoms as kids right?
"Anything that's like gloopy."

As someone who works at a culvers, i also appreciate this a bunch
For Garnt, it feels more like a preference, but Connor it feels like he has beef with certain foods/food preparations

Garnt: no pizza crust, all bread taste the same. Wait, he also ordered a hot sauce from nando's, a peri-peri sauce. And he doesn't like condiments???
I was hoping to hear what Pro thought about garnts 'all bread taste the same' take but no. That would've been so funny 😞
It seems he doesn't like any condiments that aren't spicy. He mentions hating the vinegary taste of ketchup and mayo but I'm pretty sure there are plenty of acidic Thai dishes.
@@yourbasicninjatbf he HAS evolved from that after visiting Germany iirc

As a german I hard disagree on the german food take. We also have red cabbage.
I like in n out fries, they're clean and taste like actual potato. But the only con is that they are never soft on the inside
Also, I don't feel like garbage after i've eaten in n out fries. McDonald fries i like the taste, but i get a headache and my tummy feels funny after.
Can't believe that "All bread tastes the same" wasn't even mentioned.

I could probably eat Culver's every day of the week.
I agree with Garnt, I don't like condiments either except for teriyaki, soy sauce, and Japanese mayo 😅

CULVER'S FOR THE WIN!!!
I was hoping they would bring up garnts take of rice being able to replace bread and all bread related products.
I also am generally opposed to condiments outside of ketchup and mustard
Garlic sauce
I’m with garnt, I also don’t like condiments but I would eat it if it comes with my meal, but personally I wouldn’t put it on my hamburger or hotdog
Milk doesn't belong in cereal. Ah yes, a soggy grain, what a lovely way to start the morning.
Just eat it fast enough
Garnt is so right about condiments. he just like me fr

in n out fries you have to order well done for them to be tasty
I got used to in n out fries now... I like that it is "pure"... You see exactly how they make it... There is really no secret...
Steak n Shake is fire
I personally think breaded fries is sacrilegious.... Not sure if that is a hot take or not... Hope there are others that agree...
