Worth posting this additional footage Trevor, just sitting there ticking over she's like a sprinter in her starting blocks. lovely unique sound. Thanks for filming. ....Graham
I can't ever remember seeing Deltic's with headcode boxes, they'd all been converted to marker lights by the time I was old enough to remember. Other loco's I do remember seeing (25's, 40's 47's etc) displayed 0O00 or were broken. One particular 47 displayed 0P00, much to my amusement as an 8 year old! 9009 has even has its twin wipers and quarterlight windows reinstated too, (which were welded up to prevent cracking.) Ive passed through Ulleskelf many times on the train, but never actually been to the station!
Dont remember them myself Stu with the head codes but did the 47s.Might be worth having a look at filming at Ulleskelf for a change....Might get a bit of freight with a bit of luck.Could listen to those Napier Engines all day....Thanks for looking...Trevor.''
Haha Stu, great memories. I saw my first Deltic, D9015 Tulyar at Leeds City in 1973 with a similar rake of blue and grey Mk2s and it absolutely blew my mind, the sound and the diesel fumes ( And the smell from the nearby brewery)
Was footage i never put on the first film so i decided not to waste it and put it on here. The Station who you have not heard of is next to Church Fenton on the line to Leeds Keith.....Trevor.
what a sound!!! magical! and the fumes....wonderful. Let Greenpeace get a look at this video and weep! lol As for Sainsbury's....I prefer Tesco, every little helps! lol Dave
lol, yes Morrison's are good value too ;-) I wish I had been there to smell that Deltic! Dave

I took your advice and as I am watching this on the big screen in the lounge, everyone has disappeared and the cats are wonderful what the heck - smiling. Great sound bite on that very unique sound. Question; "was he waiting for the signal to clear or just to get enough warmth in the motors?" Seeing everything go racing past Ulleskelf station I did have to go and refresh the memory on where it is. That explained. Trevor thanks for the share mate and have a great week.
More! Excellent Trevor! Watching 9 idling, I just thought I might like a hybrid car - IF it sounds like that. Also, at about 5:50: listening to the ''Super' Sprinter' approaching (alas, I think it was 9 in the background). Just going to watch it all again. Steve
Great video! Enjoyed it.
Thanks Matt......Lovely Noise......Trevor.''

Where I lived in the early sixties we could hear those coming from two miles away. They regularly ran at 90 MPH through the station. David.
