Campers have evolved quite a bit over the last 30 years. Fancy! I remember as a kid what a kick it was to sleep out in my folks camper. It was like my own little house. I loved it. I still enjoy tiny spaces. You learn to be creative about paring down belongings in a confined space. Thank you for sharing. :)
When I was young, we lived in a fifth wheel that had a shed/house and a carport attached to it. From the street side it looked like a normal (for that area) house, carport, curved driveway and fence. The shed was level with the floor of the fifth wheel and you could easily forget that it wasn't a regular house. The shed served as the living room and master bedroom. The MBR was adjacent to the RV MBR and that was changed into a changing room with private bath. From the carport one walked up stone stairs to a porch that had a wrought iron balustrade with curly leaves and such in its design. If it weren't for the need to refill the propane tanks, I'm not sure if I'd remember it was a fifth wheel and shed conversion. That was back in the 70s when people could do what they wanted to do on their own land at their own expense. My mother worked from home as a commercial artist. She had another shed just beyond the carport and connected by a stone walkway.

RV mattresses are shorter than regular mattresses, if the bed is in a slide you could get in trouble with the slide closing if you replace the mattress with a regular one but if you are not traveling in it it might not matter.
Goodness you are dedicated! Going through all those in the heat. I know it's not really bad winter weather but I would get what we call here the underbelly heated. My father-in-law spent the late fall in our yard and his camper was awful to heat and get comfortable. We do live in Maine. Thanks for sharing! 👍♥️🦊

I dont know if you are interested in a yurt but alot of homesteads use them. Check out Fit Farmer homestead video. They bought their Yurt on craigs list for $8000
Might want to look into one that has "toy hauler" so when you have to go accost country to get your animals you have a place to put some goats or chickens. Just a thought. Thank you for all you have done to help out Jeff.
Are you set on brand new? I hunted for an RV in Jan 18. I ended up with an older Roadtrek, as it's just me. Spent a lot of time on RV sites, reading comments about them. So many had complaints on brand new. There are so many for sale that people hardly use. Good hunting. Enjoyed looking w/o the heat.
That one with the kitchen in the back flap.. omg.. all I could think of was the pure tragedy if someone were to rear end it. That would be an expensive fender bender. It would wipe everything out. Don't get me wrong.. it did "look" cool.
I know none of my business .. the Campers are lovely.. but for the price around $33,000 can't you buy a decent size pre-fab house/cabin? Like Bobblehead only paid around $5,000 for his... but then again I don't know your plans... Best of luck...

To me a Camper is what you put on a pickup truck, A trailer is what you pull with a pickup truck or a SUV, and A RV has a motor to drive .
