Thank you for the video. Yes, those are the tips and tricks we are trying to use as well. Also using a DBX driver rack helps with finding and canceling those frequencies

SPOT ON !! I just attended a graduation recently, and they made every mistake they could have made.
It turned what should have been a good experience for everyone, into a horrible encounter.
A room filled with TEACHERS, mind you. enough said.

I really, really, really wish I had someone explain these things to me a decade ago before I traveled around to hundreds of school gyms, auditoriums, and performance halls and just kept my hand on the volume faders like it was they were the only thing on the whole board.

How about putting fill speakers that are delayed for the distance they are from the stage? That seems to help the people towards the back hear everything clearer. Set the delay to .88 x ft = milliseconds

About the 'frequencies' you mentioned... I prefer to state: "resonances". I've 'teched' a few school plays over the years... getting these resonances figured out can be a chore. Both for the room, AND the teachers who come in and see the EQ (that I set) with a few sliders at Neg 12 or 18 db. and proceed to move them up to 0. Once I got these, teachers, to understand the nature of resonances (how they PILE in a room) and the frequencies they like, then they see the wisdom of reducing a frequency that is naturally multiplied.
