    Good point about the 300 -400hz, always like my mix light in that area. That's the starting point for a lot of regen that reaches as high up as the 8-10k squeal.

    When you have an artist with all IEM’s, there won’t be any feedback. I despise monitor wedges as a pro live engineer.

    While setting up, keep the feedback from running away while looking for offending freq's by- drop the threshold of a downstream limiter to a very low level, so low that it will choke the volume of you talking through the system. Voila- feedback will also be limited to that same low level. Quite amazing to have your PA feedback at a controlled -40 db. You of course bring the threshold back up for normal operation. Want to reduce the chance of feedback? Throw every other frontline mic out of phase. Now instead of multiple mics loading up, they now cancel that out. 38 years and 5000+ shows sitting around figuring this stuff out.

    Thanks for your video. I’d like to ask, I am trying to use some studio speakers/subwoofer to connect my focusrite audio interface with a midi keyboard and MainStage software. My question is so I NEED an amplifier for this connection or can I just use 1/4 Jack cables to connect from my audio interface to the studio speakers/subwoofer? You can give some suggestions of products as well. Thank you so much for answering.

      I don't have much experience, but I find a way to fix that problem is to make sure all connections are secure, or switching out cables.

    Hi Jordan, quick off topic question. If I use the SE DynaCaster with the 30 dB of boost on a GoXLR, would I still select "Dynamic" on the GoXLR? Thanks!

    Hi, I follow your TH-cam for a while now and I wanted to ask you something, my current audio setup:
    Connect 6 -> Dynamite DM 1 -> Shure SM7b
    -> DT 990 Pro
    I also have Komplete Audio 6, and Focusrite Scarlett Solo 3rd Gen
    Nowadays I use VoiceMeeter Potato in order to supply to my microphone additional effects which I want to have physically and not via the app (because it might be causing CPU usage and lag)
    Is there any cheap mixer that can give me these options (which the app currently gives me):
    - PAN (Right Left) - so people in stereo-microphones supported apps will hear me in the side I choose in the mixer (for example, if I want to talk on the right side for someone in TeamSpeak and that they hear me only in their right ear)
    - High & Low configuration, basically make my voice a bit lower and deeper and more crisp and understandable.
    - Echo / Delay effect
    - Reverb effect
    I'd love to know, thank you (:

    Please make a demonstration video on how to connect the feedback eliminator to the Yamaha MG10XU mixer so that the eliminator works only with the microphone and not with the whole PA system.

    Hey I've been watching your videos on youtube on how to connect an entry level controller to speakers . I have a question , this might be very complicated so here we go . I've got a pair of Passive speakers that has an amplifier and an equalizer and I also have have a pair of studio monitors how can I connect them into my computer ? Will I need a usb Audio mixer or an audio interface . Then I also have a Pioneer DDJ FLX4 is it possible that I connect the controller only through USB and not use the audio output of the controller.

    My issue when I was having feedback was that the amp to the speakers was set too high. Once i reset it correctly everything was good.

    I have an issue with my Pastors mic when he’s preaching. Everything else is muted, I have even tried EQ to bring it down and you don’t hear the consistent feedback sound but the way the voice sounds is pitchy like if it was feedback.
