The difference between model detail settings is below high objects get instantly destroyed without any debris flying around. For example try destroying random jars and flowers and stuff in practice range, you'll notice it right away. I personally like to keep it on high, even if its better advantage to have no debris, just looks nicer.
@curse5697 it's cause it's at a fundamental engine/design level. Ue5 is easy to dev with and promotes checkbox culture of using it's quick and poor optimization features rather than optimizing a game well since it takes less time.
This is so much better than those other videos where they just tell u what settings to use and a made up excuse for it which isn't even true like putting the model detail on medium wtf
Absolutely love your comparison testing, super useful, but what was the "secret" fps boost? I might have missed it but it seemed like this just covered the new in-game settings?
Thanks! It was a nod to the fact that if you want to disable AA, Global Illumination, Reflections & Model Detail you have to manually go into the settings and drop them to a lower setting instead of just using the "overall low preset". Not really that secret I know but you know how YT works ;)
@TechGuides ah true lol . I guess they didn't really even make it obvious in the season announcements either, so technically it's somewhat secretive if someone doesn't go looking for the new settings anyway. 👍
not sure if its just placebo but the mouse input feels better for me with AA off but i get 70 more fps with dlss so it might not be worth it to keep it off
Could you please do a side by side motion clarity comparison with TAA on vs off at 1080p locked 60fps? I think that is the reolution and framerate most impacted by both the clarity and the fps hit due to forced TAA, glad they have an off option now.
I love comparsion side by side with evrery posibble setting , can decide which option to choose , and check it on one video, I love your works ♥ That guide helps me alot. Most of guides "to get more fps lower your graphic settings -.-"
was just streaming the game and i check my vod if the streams lagging at it is... I tried everything like changing obs settings but the game after the update became so demanding its just sad.
Thats the worst performance goes down in the practice range on all low. Basically a worst-case test. I can easily get 300FPS but thats not the point of those tests ;)
I don't have an AMD GPU but I'd personally never use fsr or tsr. I haven't found a game in which those look good or even just okay. I use xess/quality or balanced personally as it looks and also performs the best for me with an rtx 2080.
Idk why but if I put my settings at lowest possible with no antialiasing I get low frames like 150-180 and it’s very taxing on my pc. I have a ryzen 5 7600 cpu and a RX 7800xt. Whenever I tried to run low or off without antialiasing it would make my pc crap the bed. If I was streaming at the time it would be so laggy and the game would stutter so bad it crashed.
Also 100 render distance at 2550/1440p. Ik lower is better but I want as little input lag or sensitivity decrease as possible. I use the same settings in fort and it runs fine all my gpus are updated it’s just this game ig.😊
seeing a lot of people expressing their optimization issues is troubling but also amusing from someone with an i5-4590 being able to run this game @ 260fps
I've actually found that FSR gives me better performance. FSR Ultra Quality gives me 145fps, and XeSS Ultra Quality Plus gives me 130fps. Both of these are 1.3x scaling factors.
Hey! This might not be the place, but it’d be awesome if you could share your stance on NVIDIA’s recent direction-pushing AI technologies like DLSS & fake frames over raw power for running games natively. It feels like they’re creating an artificial demand for their AI ecosystem while leaving optimization behind. There’s been a lot of backlash from gamers about this shift, and as someone we look to for guidance on graphics tech, your take on the controversy would be invaluable! I rarely use DLSS or fake frame generation, so please share your opinion!
@@TechGuides the game displays good connection ( 32 or 33 ms ) even after running the network diagnostic in game, still it says optimal. I tried different things to try to fix it but nothing. Hopefully they improve something with the servers soon.

Fascinating thanks a ton for sharing!! I'm sure to test this out next time I make a video on Rivals ✌️
True. Its just immediately gone when you hit debris. No effects.
For me it's when I turn effects detail to low, I have no debris
You do the hard work, so we don't have to! Thanks for the super informative update!
My pleasure, thanks for checking out the update!
this game is so poorly optimized :C
like, it still is after the update which is crazy

for me xess best fps

I measured better latency with DLSS but of course thats just for my specific system. I would run whatever feels best for you!
Great job man! Thanks for all explanations. Very useful video

Very helpful thank you so much
Hi! In additional, setting of effect details has impact on destructibility of objects such as vases and fences and impact/bullet marks.

when i go thru a strange portal i get a slight fps drop then it goes back up
it's so annoying

hey you did not go over foliage quality
Ah yes I didnt mention it explicitly again: no difference in perf or visuals even after restarting the game. That one is definitely broken atm
@@TechGuides can you give me a recomendation at least. right now it on high
It does not really matter but I would just put it on low to make sure you're not getting some weird FPS issues in certain scenes.
If i have nvidia card should i enable low latency with fps limiter ?
Just enable Reflex. If you add a FPS limiter it will always have precedence, i.e. Reflex will be useless.

If your refresh rate is 60, yes.
If your refresh rate is 144+, no.
