1:413:16 I just realized they use different texture to connect these two roads with other tracks in Mountain Parkway no wonder they able to make evening time in the huge tracks that connected USA
Imagine if Burnout 3 had a exploration mode. Go to any of the three continents and be able to go to any city or any location without getting forced back into that level junction. Something like nfs mod community did with Underground 1, if only Dockside had a road that leads with Golden City...
I remember I tried to guess through the Far East map where Golden City and Dockside would have connected. I wonder if I'll find any remnants of an attempted connection once I get there.
@@DogeyboyThePieChow I didn't find much. At most there's a few short tunnels that might seem like they were at one point intended to connect the two tracks.
@@NoBillsOfCrashDamage ty! I almost got it to work but not yet, there's a Cutting Room Floor page about B3 and it had codes for the free cam cheat. I converted these codes (didn't know which version to use so just converted them all LOL) and put them into an existing Pnach file for the game i had for other codes I played around with a year ago. In game, the camera kinda fidgets around and i can't go into bumper cam so obv. something is there. this one Action Replay code for changing game speed only worked when I used to play the game on real hardware, so maybe it's the same issue? It would be really cool to see this game as an open world racing .. do u think burnout paradise is supposed to be a burnout open world racing game that connecting all single roads in Burnout 3 and Revenge into one map? Because I keep thinking about that. considering how much roads in paradise that taken name from those two games such as motor City and silver lake for example
It definetly would've been fun to see. I say would've since Dockside does not have a road to connect with Golden City. That means we cannot *fully* explore all 3 continents with the city locations we have 😔
It's a shame those names are just shallow references. I've heard someone else say how much they would have loved to see Paradise use all Burnout locations and connect them, be it within the same island or through many for each continent.
Holy freaking shit, I have always wondered what was behind those yellow arrows and red Xs. This is amazing. Looking forward to more.
For the most part it's just low-poly geometry and the occasional out-of-bounds object.
But I agree, this is something very interesting to witness :D
@@NoBillsOfCrashDamage some of the roads actually are connected just not used though

Finally, I can figure out the mysteries that bothered me as a kid.
Glad to help you with that, sir :B
@@NoBillsOfCrashDamage I like how some of the roads just have trees put in the middle.

It often is done at spots you wouldn't normally see.
Textures and models having wonky placements up-close but making sense from afar.

Don't you mean Lakeside Getaway?
@@NoBillsOfCrashDamage eh I guess so x'D
I can't entirely remember every track's names since i haven't play Burnout 3 for a year

holy shit dude that was awesome! I wish I could do that!
It wasn't that difficult to do, really.
Do you have the game?
yep i have it
thank you :)
This is so cool!! How'd you do this? Is this on real hardware?
Yes, it's loaded through OpenPS2Loader, with access to the debug camera through hex-modifying codes.
@@NoBillsOfCrashDamage sweet! Is this possible with something like PCSX2 and cheat engine?
@@SlyBalto
Yes, but you'd need to convert the RAW cheats first.

You'd just be recycling even more junctions. I'd rather see one at a section of the level that wasn't used for this purpose.
