- Thursday Practice and arrivals for The Royal International Air Tattoo at Fairford 2023, I've included most arrivals from this day with a great variety.
I'll do my best to upload some displays from the next few days.

11:00 in think I'd have near soiled myself at the sight of that 262!!! Absolutely incredible sight! What a privilege to be able to see one in the flesh.

@@andrewdeacon8315 I forgot the civil version called GE CJ610 fitted on LearJet 24,25. The engine cowling is almost the same!!!

Amen! I've watched a couple of other arrivals "highlights" that, once the aircraft are on the ground, feature mainly a bunch of bald (or balding) backs of heads. Unsurprisingly, I never make it to the end of those.

Cheers Daffyd. I like the Vampire, 4:00 drove past one at RAAF Williamtown on my way to work for years. Always thought it was a looker. Plus it has a Goblin for an engine. You have to love that. ✌🇦🇺

Looking forward to the Finnish F-18 solo display this year...No better operators of the Hornet in the whole world than Finland and Switzerland.
RIAT 2019 Finnish F-18 solo display remains the most jaw- dropping military air display ever.
The hornet Finnish put on a great display, I’ll upload my effort in a day or two ✈️✈️

that's an amusing claim, considering neither of those countries operate the Hornet on their aviation demonstration teams.
unlike the U.S. Navy. whose pilots are also carrier qualified.
*Sir, it's true that the Finnish F-18 display was good, but believe me that as a fan of military combat aviation, I've seen many displays of various aircraft from many air forces to this day, and there are some that are honestly spectacular.* 😎
I have NEVER seen anyone fly an F/A-18 Hornet, like Finnish Captain Arto Ukskoski.
@@BaikalTii swiss hornet display team would disagree. also why should we care about being carrier qualified? its not important for the swiss (a landlocked country) or the fins (a country with carriers) just fucking mald.

Nice highlights. I watched most of the inbounds and practices - on the Thursday free view on the tube. - - I did notice that not many of the U.S. contingent bothered to flare out, they just slammed the aircraft down as though they were landing on a carrier, and trying for the 'wires' and those few that did flare got monster bounces, as though they misjudged the height or speed.
Very nice Daf, was a good day with a good variety 🤞 hopefully the rain will subside a bit today 👌🙄🙏

great filming & detail Dafydd im defo going to the arrivals & reheresals point RIAT2024 im a videographer that uses videohead tripod filming ETC what is a great time to get there & plus is there a a great view of things is it a very packed point with people i go camping there at kempsford on the monday which is ihalf way up on the left entery
Thanks Anthony, I’d be there first thing and catch everything you can. FRIAT is the enclosure I go to, it’s on the centre line and not too crammed.

Do the international jets have some kind of supporting vehicles? I doubt there are any baggage compartments in the fighter jets for the pilots :)
