    I think the round glasses you used to demonstrate a bad fit actually looks really good on you

    If I followed this, I'd either have no glasses at all, or only glasses which were too small to get on my head, probably children's frames which don't even reach behind my ears! I thought the first things opticians looked at were frame width and temple fit, as well as the nose fit? Plus you don't just want the shape to go around the nose smoothly, you also want the glasses to end up at the right height, rather than the top barely coming up to the eyelid.
    I'm really grateful for all these online guides, though, because now that big frames are in fashion, there's often nothing at all in the shop that fits me, and I have to hunt down frames for my optician to order in. I'm -8, generally small built, but with narrow set eyes and a face too wide to fit petite ranges. I don't think I've ever had frames which didn't have some level of decentration, even the smallest ones.

    My pupils never fit in the middle of the lenses as I have narrow set eyes.

    I wish someplace around me had as many frames to try on as your shop. Walmart has the biggest selection here and they only have half the selection of your shop. A lot less than that if that other room is filled with glasses

      Hey Aaron! Thanks for watching the video and sharing your kind words. Finding the right fit is everything, so we work hard to have something that fits everyone both in style and size. Maybe we need to add an Enjoy Optical location to your town! :) In the meantime, keep in mind we do remote fittings via video chat if you are ever interested, email me at josh@enjoyoptical.co

      @@myglassesguy I will be checking out your site and using some sort of private contact. My city is semi-rural so there is not a lot of demand. There is a lot of choice if I drive 50 miles to an area with a population base of over 100k.

    hello, sir. i want to change my frame next month and im wondering what is better between metal and plastic. im using metal now and its kinda sucks because my eye grade is big -2.75 so the lens is outside, so if you look at it closely you will se the lens in the sides. the arms was also so thin and i think it was gonna break hahaha.

      Hello :) thank you for engaging with the channel, I love this question. My RX is exactly the same so I understand the challenge. The advantage to plastic frames is that you would not see the edge thickness of your lens. Plastic is not necessarily more durable but certainly FEELS more durable :) Focus on finding the right fit and you’ll find the right pair. If you choose metal again, consider round. The right fit in round can help thin the lens down. You can also consider a high index material (1.67)which will help thin the lens as well! Let me know if you have any other questions :)

    Why does my vision perceive one side of the lens to be further away from the eyes than the other? The adjustments for the frames are already symmetrical. are there any ways to resolve this?

    • @myglassesguy
      @myglassesguy  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thank you for taking the time to engage. Your perception could be accurate. There are several possible factors involved: symmetry of the frame (as you mentioned), how the lens was mounted in the frame, or frame adjustments. Most of my clients have the experience you are describing when the back of the temple is curved (bent down) more on one side than the other. There is a cinching affect on one side, bringing the frame (and lens) closer to one eye than the other. You can adjust by bending the temple tip up on the side that feels closer. If you have further questions, feel free to reach out via email: josh@enjoyoptical.co

    Also not our eyebrows should be seen ?!

    • @myglassesguy
      @myglassesguy  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      excellent question and thank you for watching! where the eyebrows sit is a matter of preference. I personally find the most symmetry when the top of the frame mimics the brow line, just below or just above. let me know what you think and what follow up questions you may have!
