I'm from south América and, to be honest, since the cristals of the glasses are always been so extremely expensive for me, regarding frames, I've always bought the cheaper on offer, my nose is also croocked so my glasses have never fit me perfectly
Once, my glasses felt and one of the cristals broke but in big pieces and remained still in the frame, since I couldn't replace it, I put transparent packing tape over the cracked parts and keep using them for months until I have enough money to visit my doctor for a check to get a new pair. I remember those glasses, were actually for children, the frame was blue with different shades of it and some lighter tones, one of the few frames I actually liked
Edit: I also got only plastic frames because I've got bad results with metal, they corrode just like plastic but in my case causes skin infections

Great video. Question. How should the temples fit the face.? I watched an Optician give a video lecture on fit. He showed three graphics. One graphic showed what temples look like when they are too small for the face. The other graphic showed what they look like when they are fitting properly and the third showed when the glasses are too big. My question is, is there really one and only one way that temples should fit the face? Any assistance on this matter would be greatly appreciated.

I have owned many different pairs and I always have a problem with them sliding down my nose. The only way to keep them in place is with an elastic on the temples around my head. Is there a style or something that might help? I have better luck with nose pads but not 100%. How long should the temples be?

    • @AntonioTheOptom

I have an oval frame, but because of my eyes, any pair of glasses with the tip lifted upwards, the so-called "cat-eye" glasses don't work well, they show too much of my upper lid bone and hide my eyebrows. It's too bad, I think they look pretty cool. All my glasses are oval and rectangular, so you are spot on!
