Just got this in so can’t speak to tent yet, but can say how great Brad was during my search. He took a ton of time walking me through his tents and even some extra time helping me with other backcountry questions. Easy to support a company like this and gravy on top when the products are always great!
Those are cool so it’s similar to a standard double wall tent with a vestibule so you have gear storage and it’s easier to enter/exit without the inner tent getting wet from the rain.
These look promising. That 2 person model is really affordable and I’m still pretty awestruck over how little it weighs. Was the middle pole factored into that 1.2 lbs weight? Even if it wasn’t it’s still damn impressive.
Nice overview on these two new tents ⛺️ I recently saw these two new tents while looking through the GoHunt gear shop. I have 352 points in the shop right now. I am debating between the 2P Argali and the Seek Outside Silex with a stove jack and a stove or to take advantage of the current 30% off sale on Mystery Ranch and get a Metcalf or Beartooth 80.
These look really well designed and manufactured. Even though it’s a cool innovation I have to question the removable stove jack. It seems that it adds a lot of stitching and another zipper only to save 2 ounces with the jack removed. Seems like not having the removable stove jack feature would also save about 2 ounces overall but maybe I’m missing something. With that being said the 2P version is still on my short list of tents to purchase.
Never ran a hot tent or stove setup... may be a dumb question but is it safe to run a stove and insert with the heat the stove puts off? Or is floor less the only way to go. New to this so any recommendation is appreciated
Hey Tyler, great question! We sent this one over to Brady to get you a seasoned response. He said that from his experience, floor-less is typically the way to go because there is less of a bug concern in the late season (typically when you'd run a stove) and it also saves room in the pack. That said, using an insert is certainly an option and from what he's come across, and it's completely safe. Hope this helps! We appreciate you reaching out.
Just got the 4 person, looking forward to running on the early archery Kiabab hunt. What’s the recommend stove/ size for when I take it to Colorado in November?
Hi Simon, I'd suggest either medium or large stove. Medium will shave some weight, the large will allow you to put larger logs in for fuel. Personally, I'd carry a little extra weight for longer burn time. Best of luck!
Rusty, sorry about the confusion! Wish we would've caught that pricing error on the Absaroka before we released the video, it actually goes for $398.00 on the GOHUNT Gear Shop.
@@trailkreitzer9163 I’ve been looking at Fjallraven’s stuff for a while now and I’m probably gonna order some of their pants including the Vidda Pro for bushcraft and my deep big woods hunts and scouting
@@Somerandomtileguy until thoughts is good. Haven’t had a chance to run it inside the tent. I found it for $200 unused. It’s the 12” and I would personally buy the 18 if I had the choice.
Robert, thanks for dropping a comment! We actually got the chance to see this tent in the rain at the TAC event in Park City, UT and when staked down it keeps everything totally dry and protected from the elements!

I’d like to see them off an inner nest that only covers half the inner space. Be a great option for the solo hunter with the 2p tent
Pretty sure on Rokslide I saw Brad saying they will be offering half nests.

Thank you Trail for sharing this great information Tents look good God's Blessings on all hunting adventures
Great video Great product thanks for sharing!

Id go with the silex/stove combo
Nice and it’s not over priced
On the 2 person tent, can you fit a long or long-wide sleeping pad on one side of the pole with the insert being used? I’m just under 6’4”.

Actually you cannot use the @argalli insert with a stove. There is no stove jack in that insert.
Curious! What event were you at when you were making this film!! It’s a place my husband would love to go! Thanks
This was up in Park City, UT at the 2022 Total Archery Challenge event!
Hey @gohunt, I think the price displayed in your video for the 4P Absaroka may be incorrect. 🙂
You're right, should be listed at $398.00 on the Absaroka. Thanks for the catch!
Where are the tents made ?

Yeah I’m still looking for the absaroka on your website for $235 , oops 😬

@@GOHUNT I think you should honor the video pricing for a long time member 😂😂
Where's it made
What kind of pants is Trail wearing in this video?
Hi there, those pants are the Fjallraven Keb Agile pants. They are available in the GOHUNT gearshop, one of my personal early season favorites.

I’ve got that 4p and so far 👍🏼👍🏼. Just got a lite Outdoor’s stove to go with it.
How do you like that lite outdoors stove?

I hope that rain doesnt come through the opening at the bottom.
It can be staked down tight to the ground.
