  • #lock #keypad #diy #fix #repair #review I bought and installed Weiser's Powerbolt 1 (unfortunately) so you wouldn't have to (intentionally).

I’ve heard that these also have an issue where the 9V terminals often don’t work, so if the batteries die you end up locked out

Fortunately that’s not a problem I ran into… and never will because I’ll never be buying these again.

@@ducttapersanonymous and I’m glad to say I won’t ever run into that problem as deadbolt locks are not compatible with the majority of front doors where I live, including my front door
(my front door has a system where to lock, you lift the handle up, then turn the key 360 degrees, to unlock, turn key 360 degrees the other way, then firmly push the handle down, the handle extends and retracts the lock, the key deadlocks it)

Ah yeah man, gotta read the reviews objectively. Sorry you had a bad run there. Keypads can suck even if most are easily replaceable. But a product should work as advertised and clearly this one does not. Next vid you should open it up and see what the fault is!

Excellent idea, Ham! Next video will be a gentle prodding of those problematic buttons… coming this week!

Hey Ham! I followed your advice and pulled the keypad open to find the problem, as you suggested. It’s a “Part 2” video on this channel.
