- The Renfrew Rhymer, semi-skilled poet, and comic genius, Walter McCorrisken recites some of his work in Glasgow's Halt Bar - 29th April 1995 (not 94 as I put in the titles ?) - A sadly missed hero.
Auld Walter - another genius - once seen - niver fitgotten!
He is very good and was very good on a Johnny Carson show.
Was he on Carson? I have seen his Parkinson chat show appearance, but no others...

I sent Walter a video of his complete recital at the time, and he posted a book back, signed "Til the coos run dry !"
There's not much in this world that makes me laugh as much as I did that day. I'm glad that this clip was worth sharing d:oD

I believe he passed away in 2004 - I've been told that he appeared on the 'Parkinson' TV show in 1979 - I'd love to see that clip on youtube - Wonder if anyone has it...
I would gladly copy the entire recital to DVD for you, if you send me a message (rather than a 'comment' with a postal address (I think you can do this through youtube if you log-in and send it to my 'in-box' like an e-mail - that way, nobody else will see it.) - I had thought about posting more McCorrisken clips on youtube, but I haven't got round to it yet!

mrjonthehat - do you have any more from the same night's recital? I'd love to see it. I never met Walter, but am friends with his son, have been for thirty-odd years.

Dang it! It gets to 4:00 and stops. Just refuses to move on. Don't know if it's a `tube` problem.
