Been wanting to make this, but i will use golden flake white butter puff pop corn. I cant handle the seeds and all that comes with regular pop corn. Should work on that.
It's safer to cook caramel on the stove (boil mixture for 5 minutes before adding baking soda and vanilla extract, and stir and cook for 1 minute after). Don't wait to mix into your popcorn because if you wait too long, it will start to seize. And if you want delicious, crispy, caramel popcorn, bake it in the oven at 250 degrees for 1 hour, removing every 15 minutes to stir. You'll be VERY glad you did!

Does it explode or splatter in the microwave? Normally when I microwave butter it explodes and makes a mess.
