DEFINITELY add the Ramen seasoning packet when you’re mixing up the dressing! I’ve been doing this for 20 years and it’s amazing! I make the rest of it exactly how you did it!

Nooo, definitely do not do that if you're bringing to a potluck. Most have msg. While msg doesn't bother most people it can cause asthma attacks for those with asthma. It can also cause headaches/migraines and diareah in those who don't tolerate it well.

I make this same salad but I add the Ramen seasoning packets to the dressing and it gives a really good flavor.

I have been making this for years but my recipe said to mix a pack of the seasoning in the dressing and also to toast the crushed noodles. It's yummy and really elevates the flavor. Love your videos❤❤❤

I'm so happy I found this! My Mom used to make this & I love it! She also added black olives to hers. I just made it & it's chilling now. I can't wait to eat!!!

I haven’t had this salad in years. My friend use to make it and she would get the teriyaki Raman noodles and add that packet to the dressing. Talk about taking this salad to a whole new level. Yummy!

One of my faves too I use rice wine vinegar and sometimes add peanut butter and Bragg's Aminos (soy sauce)😉

Do you use the rice wine vinegar instead of the vegetable oil or both?

    • @haleyperson4415
      @haleyperson4415 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

@@ladydi2493 yes mostly, a little toasted sesame oil

My favorite version of this Asian Salad has sesame oil and a little bit of soy sauce in it. I've also added a splash of peanut sauce to my dressing when I've had it on hand. Like you, I could eat this salad all summer long!

I do a variation and use broccoli slaw, honey roasted peanuts instead of sliced almonds and use the flavor packs from the ramen noodles and add them to the dressing mix. It’s great stuff

I have always added one pack of the flavoring, my recipe calls to add both packs of flavoring to the dressing

If you don't plan to eat it all (there's only 2 of us), should you take that portion out and only add some Ramen noodles to the part you'll be eating?

Here's a tip try putting the chicken flavor packet in the dressing and The Ramen noodles lightly brown them with your sunflower seeds and the almonds because it makes the flavors pop and I like to add a little drop of toasted sesame oil and only a drop because toasted sesame oil can be overwhelming so it is to your taste but that really brings out them Asian flavors in my opinion but really try putting one or both of the chicken season packets from the Ramen noodles in the dressing because it makes it so much better

I love your white bowls with the dark candles! I only saw turquoise ones or mint etc… Any suggestions where to get them?

  • @monicagieck7975

I would have to put soy sauce in there.
And I think chow main noodles would be good also. It would be a little different but good.

It's even better if you add the chicken (or whichever) seasoning packets in with the dressing - you will love it 100 times more, I promise!

Why waste the flavor packets? Mix them with the vinegar and oil for a delicious dressing.
