That makes storytelling great and breaths life into our feelings. Great storys or small storys with one frase that you relive. Hope we get great storys in the future, but for that We need great storytellers. But getting to my sight. Got it back In few weeks, but it tought me a awesome lesson. And btw. Elizabeth Debicki would've been way better casting as Galadriel in Rings of Power than Morfydd Clark. She's actually 6'3, looks and sounds more like Cate Blanchett, you can actually buy she could have an ethereal quality to her and is just a better actress who actually has some gravitas. As bad as RoP is I guarantee if it had better casting/acting it wouldn't be nearly as painful to watch.
Has anyone else noticed that the whole Lucasarts studios drama going on just now is very much like the prequel to sequel stories in Star Wars. We have the original stories by Lucas. The light side. Before the dark side rises with Kathleen Kennedy.
I watched Drinker's Open Bar yesterday which led me to spending all fucking day, like 15 hours, reading Tolkien and watching loads of documentaries on TH-cam about The Silmarillion.
All of these so-called "marginalized" groups, women, people of color, differing sexual identifications, etc., have claimed to want "equality". Well, equality is being given positions in entertainment, whether it be acting, writing, producing, directing, etc. Now that one has been given the opportunity, the only thing missing is accountability. If you seek and desire the equality of opportunity, and you have achieved those opportunities, the logical outcome is that now one must be willing to at least accept criticism with a level of intellectual honesty, just like every single person they perceive to have had privilege in the past has been subject to. For every ONE movie or TV show that has received large amounts of praise, there are a hundred of more movies or TV shows that have been largely panned for decades. To think that once opportunity has been given, that you are somehow immune from this age-old type of scrutiny, and can avoid such scrutiny by merely screaming at your audience and the companies that gave you the opportunity, clearly shows that after getting your opportunity, you feel as though you should get some sort of perverse privilege yourself when the audience doesn't respond to your show the way you imagined it would. When you achieve the opportunity, you have been begging for, you now are subject to the exact types of scrutiny and criticism as every other project ever created in the history of entertainment has faced, and if you are unable to address said scrutiny with a reasonable level of intellectual honesty, you have failed the very test you yearned for. Equality of opportunity is also facing the equality of scrutiny and criticism, and, if you do make a quality show with solid characters and a solid script with solid world building, you will get the credit and praise you deserve. The people claiming to want equal representation, by and large are simply unwilling to accept equal evaluations of quality across the board. They have perverted their own years long wants and desires for equality, by somehow wanting to shield themselves from the inevitable outcome of possible criticisms. The say they want equality, but what they really want is praise, regardless of the quality of their overall productions.
In Mordor's dark and fiery keep The Darkness stirs upon the deep Not plotting doom nor scheming pain But fussing with his brand-new mane! Enough of helmets, harsh and grim; It's time for a more stylish him! He rummaged through his ancient chest to find the wig he liked the best. A waterfall of golden curls He whirled and danced, with bashful twirls; "At last!" (said he, with evil glee), "Galadriel shan't know it's me!" "With locks so luscious-quite divine- This look shall be forever mine!" No more the Eye in hellish blaze- it's Sauron in his fashion phase. Orcs and goblins stared in shock at Sauron strutting 'round the block: "Is our fell Lord... in princess wig?" "It's... it's time to find another gig-" He preened and posed, wig all the rage- the start of Middle-Earth's new Age? Yet in the shadows, whispers spread: "Has Sauron lost his mighty head?!" But as he tossed his wig of gold, he felt so fabulous and bold: "Let them laugh-for, tho' they may sneer, I'm still the chic-est Dark Lord here!" In Rivendell, the elves did jeer: "Straight Orcs: at last, your Eye is Queer!" -but even they could not demure: the wig gave him a strange... allure... So if a shadowed king you meet- crownless curls yet golden replete- don't be fooled, no need for messes... it's just Sauron, rockin' his new tresses!
War of the Rohirrim looks like it'll be a decent movie if it were a standalone. Being a Tolkien adaptation makes it garbage. They took Helm, his sons', and his nephew's accomplishments to give to a girlboss who's only single mention is, "...and he [Freca] asked the hand of Helm's daughter for his son Wulf." That's it. That is her only mention. She's not a girlboss. She barely even exists. And it looks like they're completely erasing her cousin, the actual slayer of Wulf, and the actual start of a new line of kings of Rohan. They're making her the new queen, to show that Eowyn descended from a girlboss.
They now build characters around actors instead of actors around characters. This is why when actors and actresses use to talk about their characters they would say she and he. Now when they talk about the characters they play they say I and me.
western made slop for western audiences is not anime, its a cartoon using the anime style as a skinsuit to make you think it was made by people with better sensibilities

the anime is not only the art its also the way the chars act and the way the story is told, u can always tell them apart from western crap, even donghua thats closer to anime is still easy to tell them apart. Western cartoon have been so fwking crap for the past decade...

2:14:36 “a scene to make you pity Sauron” Liberalism is so far off its axis that I’m expecting a story in the New York Times about hitler being a good guy.
Liberalism was always like this, only Christianity held it back in the past. It's always been luciferian and subversive to the extreme. And they'll never say anything good about the Austrian Painter, he's the epitome of all evil in the mythology of the demo-liberal post-WW2 order.
Let's get a movie about how Skeletor is misunderstood and actually the hero for trying to capture the secrets of castle greyskull. He's only trying to better himself by gaining knowledge and get a degree in conquering Eternia.
George RR Martin stole so much from Jack Vance. He has said he is his favourite author, but also denies having been influenced by any of his books at all. Lots of plot elements and a similar world setting to the Lyonesse trilogy by Jack Vance. The long winter is also stolen from Brian Aldiss’ Heliconia trilogy. Jack Vance is an amazing Fantastic and Sci-fi author and everyone should check his books out.
I love Jack Vance. I just finished listening to the Lyonesse trilogy on Audible. It was years since I last read it. Cugel's Saga next. If you’ve not yet come across Michael Shea read 'In Yana, the Touch of the Undying' a great book written in the Vance style. I used to think Martin 'borrowed' his long Winter from Heliconia too, and he might have done, but in Heliconia there’s a long Summer too, which doesn’t really vibe with Martin's world.
@@GaudiaCertaminisGaming The long summer is literally what has prevented the wights from moving south. It’s not exactly the same as Heliconia, but having a long perpetual winter is a stolen idea. Cugel is probably one of the best characters ever created. I also liked Rhialto The Marvelous, which is also part of his ‘Dying Earth’ series. Now if you want an amazing Sci-Fi series, check out The Demon Princes. It’s a 5 book series, about a guy essentially becoming space Batman/James Bond.

Tough and capable in her own right, but never once did she overshadow the men, or display skills or ability beyond the realms of believability.

Watching a day late but Gary killed it with his dialog around the 53-55 minute marks. They'll stop making the "stories we love" (We know this isn't our media) and they'll go back to the old legacy type of programming. We all win with that. Id rather wait 3 years for a good movie/show with care taken into consideration for the story than to get a new property every 2 months made up of hot garbage and lazy writing rooms. Great point and I'm sure you'll be pointing out that you called this here in the next year or two.
Why do these journos keep saying things like "shows that rely so heavily on nostalgia to try to placate older fans"? I'm an older fan. I HATE nostalgia and memberberries. one or two are ok, but I want an original story. I want the NEXT story. I don't want to see Luke or Anakin. The only way I demand to be placated is by them making a show that has the same spirit of Star Wars. Interesting, likeable characters doing heroic things. Positive messages about Good and Evil. THAT's what Star Wars is about, not memberberries and 50 light sabres and 1000 Star Destroyers.
Its to dance around the fact that the show itself was terrible. You'll notice that the article spent far more time on "dudebro Star Wars fans" than it did talking about the actual show. Depends on the guest. People like Dean Cain or Critical Drinker fit right in like regulars.
@@GeraltofRivia22 And Razorfist and Mauler.
When someone takes the time to write a message explaining that you're not worth their time... they're terrible at managing their time.
Time that's wasted, time that's valuable, could be spent on anyone or anything else than you. But they choose you.
There's something about you they feel compelled to deal with.
Maybe you're just a threat, but someone who's insignificant like a bug could take a moment to squash.
Is that what they're doing?
Squashing a bug?
That's the mark of retardation.
The second I heard the word sounding I knew kirsche was smiling like the devil
Especially after that Itsagundam live episode she was on. Speaking of, has Gundam done another since June? I've been waiting.
@@tjjordan4207 He said the stress was too much for him to keep it up regularly. I hope he's doing ok.
@@johnadams1444 Dang. I knew he was going through some stuff, but I didn't expect it was that serious. And to be honest, it seems his regular videos get more views than his live streams do, so I don't blame him for stopping.

Love the spicy cat
I like my brainrot with a side of ketchup.
It's kinda awesome you got Kirsche for this
Hi guys. I have one thing to say. I lost my sight in one point in my life. I was in accident that made wounds in my eyes. I lived in darkness. People was helping me in to store etc. I was sad af. I understanded in the age of 25 that the things that matter arent seen by eye.
The diversity etc is not in the shallow views. It is with in us all. That makes storytelling great and breaths life into our feelings.
Great storys or small storys with one frase that you relive.
Hope we get great storys in the future, but for that We need great storytellers.
But getting to my sight.
Got it back In few weeks, but it tought me a awesome lesson.
And btw. After darkness all the colors looked more beautifull than Ever.
Hope we as fantasy etc fans get colorfull storys with imagination and not only colors by eye.
Much love to your content and its always awesome to listen you guys ❤.
Glad to see kirche on fnt, but damn she's not talking much. She did explains why and it's understandable but still, maybe she'll talk more on the green app gotta check it out xD
Was nice to see Kirsche here, but I stand by what I've said in the past that she'd probably be better served in a smaller setting like Real BBC, The Nooner or Drinker's Open Bar
Edit: it's working now
Just to let you know the Rumble version isn't working atm. When I click on it there's just a 1m rumble symbol then it ends or goes to the old Theory / Mauler stream.
It was such a long stream I think it just took a little time to get it all processed. Used to happen on TH-cam a lot too
Leave it to a woman to take credit for a horse’s work. Another LotR fan fiction full of girl boss moments.
poor Shad. Was this his first encounter with Savvy and Kirsche? lol I died laughing
Ah yes I remember Saurrrrron, The Lord of the Wigs.
House of the Dragon is bad, but could maybe steer out of the skid. The Acolyte is irredeemable shite made by a rapist.
I watched Drinker's Open Bar yesterday which led me to spending all fucking day, like 15 hours, reading Tolkien and watching loads of documentaries on TH-cam about The Silmarillion.
If you have Spotify, you can find the entire Silmarillion audiobook on there. It's great and made me love the movies even more.
Documentaries like Wizards and Warriors channel? They're pretty awesome.
Time well spent.

Disparu is doing a good job on fnt... hail!!!
Count Olaf did a better job in disguising than Amazon's version of Sauron.
In Mordor's dark and fiery keep
The Darkness stirs upon the deep
Not plotting doom nor scheming pain
But fussing with his brand-new mane!
Enough of helmets, harsh and grim;
It's time for a more stylish him!
He rummaged through his ancient chest
to find the wig he liked the best.
A waterfall of golden curls
He whirled and danced, with bashful twirls;
"At last!" (said he, with evil glee),
"Galadriel shan't know it's me!"
"With locks so luscious-quite divine-
This look shall be forever mine!"
No more the Eye in hellish blaze-
it's Sauron in his fashion phase.
Orcs and goblins stared in shock
at Sauron strutting 'round the block:
"Is our fell Lord... in princess wig?"
"It's... it's time to find another gig-"
He preened and posed, wig all the rage-
the start of Middle-Earth's new Age?
Yet in the shadows, whispers spread:
"Has Sauron lost his mighty head?!"
But as he tossed his wig of gold,
he felt so fabulous and bold:
"Let them laugh-for, tho' they may sneer,
I'm still the chic-est Dark Lord here!"
In Rivendell, the elves did jeer:
"Straight Orcs: at last, your Eye is Queer!"
-but even they could not demure:
the wig gave him a strange... allure...
So if a shadowed king you meet-
crownless curls yet golden replete-
don't be fooled, no need for messes...
it's just Sauron, rockin' his new tresses!
Hail FNT, I'm gonna watch this later. Couldn't catch it live. Sometimes work gets on the middle :D
Ignorance with compliance will be the end of us
They now build characters around actors instead of actors around characters. This is why when actors and actresses use to talk about their characters they would say she and he. Now when they talk about the characters they play they say I and me.
Shad, Savvy, and Kirche? Awesome!
western made slop for western audiences is not anime, its a cartoon using the anime style as a skinsuit to make you think it was made by people with better sensibilities
you can write this one down, an anime is a show made in japan with the intended audience being the japanese, anything not fitting that description is a cartoon, no matter how much they steal the aesthetic. dont let them trick you into consuming garbage because they stylized it like something better. at heart its still that mess we expect from western studios
the anime is not only the art its also the way the chars act and the way the story is told, u can always tell them apart from western crap, even donghua thats closer to anime is still easy to tell them apart.
Western cartoon have been so fwking crap for the past decade...
@nathanperquin9910 Here's an Example. Scotch is made in Scotland. Scotch made anywhere else is called Whiskey even if they taste the same.
I actually find it jarring that this is an anime knock off. It will have none of the quality story telling to be compared to a real anime.

I like Kirsche a lot but I feel you guys didn't give her much to talk about with the topics. Hopefully she'll come back on a week with something more interesting and relevant to her wheelhouse.
I love to imagine every new Sponsor of FNT to check out the first ever ad read and curl up in the fetus position while listening. Never Change Gary ❤️
Ryan and Nerdrotic telling it like it is! 😂😂😂
So I'm watching the part where they are going over the trailer for War of the Rohirrim, and it goes to an ad. Guess what the ad is... THE FING TRAILER 😂😂😂
I think Leslie, when she wrote Osha following the Sith for apparently no reason and with no clear motivation, was trying to explain her feelings when she took the Weinstein job

Simonson's "Ragnarok" is excellent (the independently made book by Walt Simonson). Also Simonson's entire Marvel run on Thor is, by far, the best Thor series ever made. Yes Gary, I'm including the Kirby run.

Liberalism is so far off its axis that I’m expecting a story in the New York Times about hitler being a good guy.
Again...
Remember "austere scholar"?
Liberalism was always like this, only Christianity held it back in the past. It's always been luciferian and subversive to the extreme.
And they'll never say anything good about the Austrian Painter, he's the epitome of all evil in the mythology of the demo-liberal post-WW2 order.
What, he was just a misunderstood painter. If somebody appreciated his art, this would be a whole different story.
Don't you feel for him? 😏
Let's get a movie about how Skeletor is misunderstood and actually the hero for trying to capture the secrets of castle greyskull. He's only trying to better himself by gaining knowledge and get a degree in conquering Eternia.

That first season is superb.

@@WAMPHYRIinvader Ok. I literally just finished season 1 about 5 minutes ago!
Sound cool but is it better then MUH PULPS???
@@GaudiaCertaminisGamingthe summers are also long in Thrones
@@GaudiaCertaminisGaming The long summer is literally what has prevented the wights from moving south.
It’s not exactly the same as Heliconia, but having a long perpetual winter is a stolen idea.
Cugel is probably one of the best characters ever created. I also liked Rhialto The Marvelous, which is also part of his ‘Dying Earth’ series.
Now if you want an amazing Sci-Fi series, check out The Demon Princes. It’s a 5 book series, about a guy essentially becoming space Batman/James Bond.
@@lucascoval828 As in the Sci-fi shorts published in pulp magazines?
Pretty sure Vance wrote some at some point 🤷🏻♂️
Oh, also, Jack Vance was the basis for the original DnD magic system.
For future reference, never ever let the topic of "Sounding" come up during FNT. Please, I beg you with tears in my eyes, to never let that topic ever come up again. I would rather watch Batwoman every day for the next 10 years.
The woman comparing the acolyte being canceled to the twin towers falling is just wow. Don’t know how a show being canceled comes close to losing loved ones in a shocking and disturbing way

Highlander: The Series had the best balance of season-wide arcs and baddie-of-the-week episodes. That show simply doesn't get the recognition it deserves.
I would recommend Burn Notice as well. The wheels start to come off the last season but otherwise it's a good time
3:01:52 GARY YES! Burn Notice! One of the greatest TV shows ever made. Even though the last seasons weren't quite up to the standard of the first four, it was a solid watch to the end, thanks to the writers and the cast. Fiona is my personal standard for a strong female character. Tough and capable in her own right, but never once did she overshadow the men, or display skills or ability beyond the realms of believability.
Riders are not fast, Horses are fast, riders just need to hang on and occasional steer
Kirsche and Shad on the same panel is not something I had on my 2024 bingo card. Worlds are colliding.
Disagree with Ryan. Great series get cancelled (Mindhunter, Deadwood, Kingdom and so on) while utter, utter crap gets through. One of the three reasons (besides woke lectures and the costs) I will never subscribe to a streaming service longer than a month anymore.
At this point in time, I am happy Disney never really noticed the Old Republic. Please never make Malgus into a simping boy toy for Eleena or Bane into a soy. And don't even start about Zannah with him.

I recommend 97 anime of berserk first then read the mangas in order. Thats how I did it I've read berserk twice btw.
When 1/4 Black Garrett says anything are we meant to unthinkingly accept/reject 25% or 75% of what he says Disney? (I guess I am infallible being fully coloured??? What about my mixed race daughters Kathleen Kennedy - do they flip a coin before people decide whether their laughing at 'The Acolyte' story/character nonsense is legitimate? Do they have to 'force choke' me for supporting their youthful, free revulsion at 'The Acolyte' Leslye Headland?)
This is because Alyssa Mercante is a lying propagandist in a position of influence to lie and propagandize for her own ideological benefit. This ideological benefit being captured and transmitted within shows like The Acolyte.
@@annatardlordofderps9181 Yeah, as if she gives the slightest fuck about Star Wars! She knows nothing about it, and only cares about this so she can write her toxic articles about Agenda Politics.
