    I went through the same exact hunt and search a few months ago...Sorry to say you missed out on the best one of them all! Takeuchi TL12 (either V2 or R2) hands down beats them all in every category. When I finally tested the TL12V2 after testing the other ones my spreadsheet got completely lop sided. No contest, it was the clear winner. I have had it for 6 months now and couldn't be happier. I have thrown every job at it and it handles it with no effort. CAT & CASE have no cabin room, Kubota technology is stuck in the 1990s, ASV tracks/suspension is too flimsy, Deere price/performance doesn't add up, JCB missing power for real work.

    I'm so proud you bought a JCB, their factory is located approximately 20miles from my home. Joseph Cyril Bamford (JCB) started the company in Uttoxeter Staffordshire in 1945 and invented the backhoe loader In 1953. They've done quite well since. They do a lot of engineering training of young people which is admirable.
    ...and now they have a tiny little outpost in Iowa!

    The hydraulic hose you were concerned about being busted is actually an electric wire. Deere uses an electric system to connect and disconnect attachments instead of hydraulic like most companies. They just use a super thick protector sleeve that makes it look like a hydraulic hose. Just wanted to let you know I learned that from a video I watched and thought that was super cool!

    Nothing beats having a great relationship with your dealer. If a dealer supports his equipment and is there when you need them and go out of their way to keep you up and running, that’s the one you deal with. Chances are, if the machine goes down, they’ll even give you a loaner if you’re in a bind.

    Pretty good review and I don't disagree with much. I own both a 259D and a Volvo MCT125 (which is a JCB with a single arm). I hope for your sake that they've improved the machines. A rash of issues came along with my Volvo that mostly revolved around hose quality. My Volvo and the Cat now have the same hours (right around 2500) and the Volvo pins tilt pins on the quick attach are completely wore out despite daily greasing. The boom pins are starting to go as well. The Cat is almost as tight as the day we bought it. Man I love that side entry, and that's the only reason I'm even considering repairing the Volvo at this point. Next one will be another 259D3 or the Kubota SSV75,

    I bought a new JCB 320T about 5 years ago. I just use it on the farm for moving gravel/dirt around, landscaping, and pallet fork work. I love it! The side door was the deciding factor for me. And yes, it's very quiet and the visibility is great. It has a ton of hydraulic power too. I've dug out a few rocks that I probably shouldn't have with this size of machine....😅!

    For the Deere, the Wiring harness is ran through that hydraulic hose, the quick attach is self contained with its own little electric over hydraulic style jack for the locks, just needs power and control. still gets caught on stuff if youre not paying attention.

      @@stuartandrews4344 Well the Teleskid is about $20k and 4,000lbs more; since they want it for cemetery work the extra weight would just tear up the ground and maybe collapse graves (that would be a bad conversation), also some States have more restrictive rules for hauling heavier machines (might not be the case for where they are) and the extra equipment needed to haul it (bigger trucks, heavy duty trailers; which they probably have) it might not be worth it. Also supply could be an issue, with the pandemic there just might be any available.

    One of the number one things to consider when buying equipment should always be parts availability. John Deere and Cat have sales and service centers in pretty much every freaking town in America.
    I personally own a Deere skid loader and a mini excavator and I have to say that I’ve had great performance out of both of these machines. My 333g is an absolute work horse. It’s incredibly easy to maintenance and has tons of power. My little 50g is a great little mini and again is definitely a little work horse.
    For me personally I’m not brand loyal to anything. Just so happens that like most people there is a Cat dealer and a Deere dealer within 45 minutes of my house. I’m 6’3” so for me the Cat was out of the question I ran it and just way to small inside the cab.
    That JCB looks great I do love the side door. Love the visibility for sure. I would however be skeptical about that boom. Just from an engineering and physics standpoint it’s built to fail. I could be completely wrong but I don’t think I am. Side loading that boom has got to be incredibly hard on the pins and bushings. A simple at home experiment can demonstrate what I’m talking about. Grab any weighted bar and hold it with both hands. Then let go with one hand and notice how your arm wants to roll in now need much more strength to hold the bar. Same principle with that single boom. Again I could be way off but I feel like there is a reason you literally do not see these machines anywhere ever.

    In order to properly get a scoop of dirt or gravel, what you do Is once about 1/4 of the bucket is in the pile you then lift the boom about a foot or so which will put weight on the front end and then slowly curl the bucket as you continue into the pile, you do this all in one smooth motion, doing this you can get a full bucket of whatever you want with pretty much any loader. This is how you get a scoop of gravel as opposed to running into the pile and spinning your tracks like a goof.

    Congratulations on the new machine. I've ran bobcat for most of my life and recently have been running a deere. I completely dislike the joystick (iso) controls. The deere cab features that I like are the air ride seat but knowing the harsh environment that probably wont last. the rest of the buttons on the deere over complicate it.

    • @charlesprice7608
      @charlesprice7608 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      How could he not test a bobcat, it’s all I have ever run. I like manual over hydraulic controls also, not a big fan of pilot controls. The reason I stay with bobcat, they hold there value, and parts availability. We had a Volvo and it’s a nice machine but when you need parts it can be sidelined for a while.

    I’ve got a New Holland, identical to the Case IH. Yes, they have more technology in the cab but 1,700 hours in and it’s CONSTANTLY throwing codes or has loose wiring connections. I’m looking to trade after harvest and would love to try a JCB, but don’t really know of any dealers in my area which is a setback. I like the power and lift capacity of the New Holland 238 but it just hasn’t held up great. Mechanically it’s been fine, but electrically it’s been a nightmare.

    JCB have really knocked it out of the park with their latest design. The great thing about the JCB is if you drop something onto the cab you can still get out. As a engineer it always surprised me they placed the door on skid steers right up front where debris can block a quick exit..

    Just a FYI the hose by the quick attach plate on Deere isn’t a hose with fluid in it. Just wires in it and you never catch it on anything. Also if ya raise the arms up like 6-8 inches you have great visibility, which is where ya carry most loads anyways. But to each there own good luck with JCB

    • @neversettle9597
      @neversettle9597 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Came here to say the same thing, minus we have ripped it out a few times, and it’s a pain. You can’t access that plate without taking the attachment off. Can’t take the attachment off without the wires hooked up 😂. If you stay out of the woods and clearing trees you’ll be fine. I’ll take the single valley drive wheels over cats duals all day long tho, definitely faster on the Deere to get a track back on and going. So far I’m liking the Deere’s over the cat we had, but time will tell. I used the cat heavy for 5 years, we only have been on these Deere’s a little over a year but so far so good.
