    I have Tein Street Basis Z coilovers on my 2010 Subaru Impreza. I installed them with a friend about two years ago from this moment. They still perform super well for only taking $430 out of my wallet. They aren't rusty, don't ride any differently than when first installed and they're actually really tolerable. They will wake your car up and feel planted. Another huge plus, they're actually comfortable enough non car people don't have an issue riding along in the car. Only downside is I didn't buy the Teins that have adjustable top hats for camber. Great product, probably the BEST modification I've done yet.

    • @maddog063
      @maddog063 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      How has it been with using the oem tophats? That's the only thing kinda putting me off about tein's entry level coilovers. With my car being FWD, I was thinking of going with some CC bolts up front and camber arms in the rear. If not, godspeed's mono rs/ss have my interest that include adjustable tophats, but those are a mono tube design and I'm not sure of their quality. Any advice? Was getting ur camber within reason easy?

    • @adam_cs1489
      @adam_cs1489 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Matthew McLean The tophats were too big of a deal. Just be safe when removing them from your OEM struts. As for camber, I bought camber bolts for up front and am on the way to buying rear lower control arms. I've been in a Subaru Outback with godspeed coilovers and the ride was honestly too stiff for daily driving. It was most likely how he had it set up but personally, our opinion was Tein > GodSpeed. Tein just felt more perfected out of the box.

    • @adam_cs1489
      @adam_cs1489 5 ปีที่แล้ว

    Can you tell me if there are any interchangeable springs for the Adv. Z for the Altezza? The springs are the same as the ones from the Basis Z and are soft as f**k and though the 16 step damping of the dampers works quite well the kit is still TOO SOFT. Unfortunately my supplier/seller is a useless and unreliable guy and doesn't give me any support in that case :(
    I also installed front and rear strut bars but while cornering simple on the road the car is still swaying like a 20 year old sofa :(
    I guess the springs from the Flex Z kit have different diameter and I'm not sure if any springs from an Aristo kit would fit or make any difference.

      @@renameduser5279 I haven't changed it yet. I have the Eibach Springs sitting in my closet. I just got my new wheels and tires in last week and I haven't even put those on yet. I think I'm just gonna slap the springs, wheels and tires on all at the same time. Then I gotta get an alignment again. I'll see how the springs look and feel if I don't like them I'm gonna get either the Eibach Sportline System or a set of coilovers.
