I always loved the Snuggle commercials when I was a little kid. I thought Snuggle Bear was a puppet instead of stop-motion though. Re. the Xerox commercial: I can't imagine having to retype a whole document every time someone wanted revisions done. Ugh. Thank god for modern word processing.
"The Bear Show!" Anyone who's seen "Look Who's Talking" knows what I mean. As a kid, I wanted to be a doctor, and I loved St. Elsewhere, even though it was on late at night. I always thought it was great that the MTM cat had a surgical mask on. Typewriters! Even this far into the 80's, they were still being advertised on TV. Then again, we didn't get our first computer until 1992, so I definitely used our electric typewriter at home.
Man, do I miss typing on typewriters, both manual and electric. Sitting in class with everyone typing with a mix of both types. That plus the smell of freshly printed tests coming off the mimeograph machine.
+Mike Troncin This was a really popular commercial I think people knew it was the ZZ Top song at the time...since it was a real song it got stuck in my head real good!
I can still remember the "Cults" series 11 Alive did back then. I miss those days going up around Atlanta, before the 96 Olympics and Hurricane Katrina ruined it.
Dangerous Affection..i assume Smits was playing the"psychotic ex-husband"..? wasnt this St Elsewhere's final season? If so i think this was around the time where the show"jumped the shark"..Miami Vice was also at that point in 87
It's odd seeing a Toyota ad in the 80's without iconic pitchman Squire Fridell. Also, the music from the Dodge Caravan commercial sounds exactly like "Don't Get Me Wrong" by The Pretenders.

The people who destroyed Saturday Morning Cartoons will forever be on the top of my shit list
Thanks for putting up these commercials! I love watching them. Wish commercials were still like this today.
I was 15 years old when this originally aired.

"Search for A Sitter" would have made for a great title for a "Lifetime" movie of the week.
Ah Nuprin, little. yellow. different
Anyone else get "Wayne's World" flashbacks?
03:05- it took me a while to realize this is a crazy slowed down version of ZZ Top's song, ....

Nothing warms you like gas. Ain't that the truth 😆

So it turns out the Star Wars prequels *weren't* the worst things Jimmy Smits was involved in!
I miss the Snuggle commercials! 😥😥😣😣

i love vintage clips
Was finding a good daycare a burning issue in the 80s?
+Boomska316 Everything is a burning issue on the local news level.
