  • Following cleaning of switches and pots, and replacing all paper,, all electrolytic, some disc ceramic and some silver mica capacitors, this video shows the receiver operating on the 40M range (coverage from 6.8MHz to 7.8MHz), receiving CW, LSB ham and AM broadcast stations). All controls seem to be functioning as intended and the dial accuracy is good.

@@RadioRestoration Good time of day. At first, the reception is noisy. Are you probably an urban amateur radio operator? - in the city? I was listening to the 20-meter band today, so I was surprised that it was making noise at the same time as turning on my old air conditioner! )))) (this has never happened before ! ) :(((((((((((((( Hosted on the radio " TS-530 s" 73 !

@@иванепифан-к8ж I am in a very electrically noisy location. The antenna in use here is just a small indoor active loop, but that also picks up electrical noise. Other types of antenna are much worse.

@@RadioRestoration Yes! Such a device (Collins 75) should be listened to far away from electrical interference! I know what it is, "reception for radio tubes")). in the 90s I had a tube unit (Transceiver) and what (impression (!) I received it when distant American radio stations passed through the "polar cap" with CRYSTAL reverberation....
