In Belgium, there is a transport company called “BE-Trans” and it’s the best accidental trans support I’ve ever seen! Imagine how many transphobic people have seen it next to their car on the highway! LETS GOOO
YES, I saw that! Greetings from Germany, I was stuck behind a truck from that company in a traffic jam and my colleague and I had a laugh and took a picture to show one of my friends, who is trans. He also had a laugh, but then told me that he wouldn't really recommend it. All three of us had a laugh.
@@Disearned we were in health class and the teacher mentioned that trans fat was illegal in Canada and I said without thinking “damn guess I can’t go to Canada anymore”
That trans woman starter pack is so accurate, I’m literally a woman, I own clothes, I am trans, I’m 60% water, I listen to the music I like, and I am my height!!
Yo, no way? You're your height? That's impossible! Haha. Yeah, all it takes to be a trans woman, a trans man, or trans nonbinary is to be that gender and to be trans.
As a nonbinary person, I really feel the "my transness is all consuming" thing. I'm pretty much constantly reminded that I'm nonbinary everywhere I go, from people misgendering me, to gendered clothing sections and bathrooms, I can't get away from it lmao
IKR there is no "going stealth" since you're either closeted or you're out. Since society doesn't have any predefined tertiary genders, it's pretty much up to nonbinary people to rediscover and reestablish the paradigm.
Yeah, this was my thought too when Jamie talked about that. I don't really see a time when (in public) it won't be something I have to think about constantly. Like standing in front of bathrooms having a panic attack while asking if I look feminine or masculine today.
Omg ahaha I never tought I would see it on the internet, my uncle worked for this company. (in Canada) I also never thought of pronuncing it in english, but now it is amazing!
*Transphobic comedians:* "I can say whatever I want" *Also transphobic comedians:* "I don't have any jokes in my repertoire that don't marginalize a group of people"
I accidentally outed myself in front of my homophobic/transphobic monther and she has been treating me differently since, thanks for making me feel accepted!
I couldn’t tell at first if you meant your mum was treating you negatively or positively ^^; I hope your mum will learn to see past all that and love you as her child, and if not, hope you have others who can help you through this.
As someone who's just beginning to realize they're trans, I definitely feel that "all encompassing" feeling. My brain keeps going "you aren't hyperfocusing on your gender, *that means you're a faker girl*" like.. no, brain, just leave me alone I am vibing
It’s been a year, how’s it going? Listen, there’s no one way to be trans. There’s no right way either. You are you, and who that is is for you to realize. The “all encompassing” bit might go away as you transition, or you may still feel the effects of it. Either way, you’re completely valid!!
Enby, but this happened to me too! I sometimes am just happy, then my brain goes “NO! YOU FORGOT GENDER” “ YOU ARE LYING TO YOURSELF”, and just. Uggghhh.
A yes, the time I giggled half of my way home because I passed a truck with the label "Trans Dom" and I was excited to tell my trans and kinky friends about it. Good times.
It's a shame, JK Rowling could have been a good trans ally if she wanted to, since she wrote about how nobody should be forced to live in a closet and deny who they are. Just like how Ben Shapiro could have been a good trans ally if he wanted to, since he could teach trans women his secret for pitching up his voice that high.
When I came out to my parents and started thinking about names, I literally called them both up and asked what they would have named me if I had been ABAB, and they told me so I picked that to help them still feel included in my life and that they gave me my name.
So funny story: I used to be super dysphoric about how my body looks. I'm afab, I have no butt (my friend affectionately calls it my grandpa ass and says they love it lmao), I have wide hips despite having no butt, and also my breasts are shaped more like an overweight man's chest than "typical" afab breasts (I'm overweight lol). This, along with my alto voice, made me feel uncomfy with my body as a kid. However, since then, I've realized I'm genderfluid and commonly (not always) prefer being perceived as masculine. So then my biggest issue with my body was my pear shaped body and how my hips are wide in comparison to the rest of my body. UNTIL I was reunited with my oldest half brother who is a decade older than me. I hadn't seen him in awhile. Immediately, I realized his hips are actually the same ratio to his body as mine. That instantly made me text my other transmasc friends to tell them how cis men can have bigger hips too, and it led to a revelation for myself. So yeah, just wanted to tell my story of how I entirely erased all my dysphoria surrounding my hips by simply looking at my older brothers and realizing we look like photo copies of each other. I still occasionally have dysphoria about other things, but seeing the similarities between my body and my cis relatives' bodies definitely helps me get through it. Update for all the people who see this lol: I recently realized I'm actually a trans man, just a gender nonconforming trans man. anyways, thank you for the support, remember you're all valid
im a very slightly overweight 24yo amab enby. my tits are bigger than what should be expected of an amab of my weight. sometimes i do breast growth excersizes to see if it works. i should probably take hormones but i wanna see if this natural diy works. my only dysphoria is body and facial hair but i get called a ma'am if i just shave clean enough. im naturally passing and everyone around me is supportive. im very lucky
What you are describing sounds like body dismorphia. Not gender dysphoria. Also, hips are the dead give away of TIF. I hated my thighs. They were muscular and I fantasized as a child carving off my inner thighs to make them slender. Then I saw a baby picture of me at age 2 with chunky, baby thighs and I realized this was my generic lottery. How could I not love that baby who was once me with those chunky, baby legs?
Not trans but man I hate my big hips. Like you can change other parts of your body with surgery but for some reason you can’t make your hips smaller. I’m so jealous of people who have a straight body shape, it’s so much prettier. I’m 16, I don’t need birthing hips yet! My hips have been huge since I was like 10. Why do I even need such big hips? People with much smaller hips are able to give birth just fine.
The only way being trans really "consumes" my life right now, I would say, is by becoming most of my humor, which is one of the reasons why I enjoy these videos so much. Making trans jokes with my closest friend, even though he's cis, is one of my favorite parts of my life.
Trans jokes are funny to make, I'm glad you can make them with your freind 😌✨ Wait I mean like trans jokes are fun to make like I'm not transphobic or anything
@@bobbobbo1472 Haha. Don't worry, I could tell you didn't mean it in a transphobic way. They are really fun to make. The two of us laugh any time "transitions" on Premiere Pro are brought up. We also love memes that fall under the categories of gay, bi, Undertale, and/or cats.
I'm a Scot and something of a railway buff, and trust me, that transphobe got burned BIG time for that comment. Including, I'm proud to say, by the Scottish railway enthusiast community.
Watching your videos is truly teaching me so much. I feel it’s a shame that I need to state that I have no issue with anybody being who they know they are. I often put my foot in it and my loving caring brother just corrects me and explains. 38 and still putting my foot in it. I just wanted to thank you for explaining things with such a kind heart and patience. And for making everybody welcome to enjoy your videos and knowledge.
6:15 the whole argument of "trans women are taking over cis women" is so stupid because we're both being oppressed for literally the same thing. Why should trans women be excluded from women's rights if they are just as frequently, if not more often, discriminated for BEING WOMEN.
Oh yeah! I’m such a proud mum of my trans daughter. She’s the most awesome human bean and I love her so so much. What’s most important to me is her happiness 🥰 I totally show her any posts I make in support of transgender rights (and when I post memes too 😏)
I just wanna make sure you know that you sound like an amazingly supportive mother, and from an NB with less than supportive parents that I won’t come out to until I have a job so I can survive if I need to leave, I can tell you that it took so much trust for her to come out to you and I’m happy things turned out well for you. I wish you all the best!
As a young non-binary person, I want you to know that your comment is really really super heartwarming, and conforting for those who don’t have supportive parents :)
@@patch2932 awwww thank you so much! I have always told both my kids - one transgender and the other in a relationship with a beautiful trans girl - that all I ever wanted is for them to be safe and happy. That’s it! I love who they are and love who they love 🥰
@@museyoutubes9138 thank you so much for your kind words. When my daughter told me I just hugged her and told her that no matter what NO MATTER WHAT she had my unconditional total love and acceptance. In my art studio I have a sign that says ‘acceptance without exception’ (I think I read it on the Stonewall website) and I loved that phrase so much I have it up at my work. I’m so sorry you’re having a hard time. Be strong, be brave but always be safe and happy. Safe and happy that’s all that matters. (Safe can also mean cosy so I got my daughter cat paw sockies for Christmas so her toes are cosy) I really do seriously hope that you can speak to your family sometime. I hope they give you complete and unconditional love 😘
As a trans boy with very unsupportive parents, seeing a parent being so supportive of their trans child is so heartwarming to me and I wish you and your family the best :)
The fact jamie (hope i spelled that right!) was initially confused at the fact some people choose crimes for their names (8:49) actually makes me really happy. My name is Arson and i absolutely adore the strange looks people give me when i tell them cuz like yeah. thats my name. you can either call me arson or ars, you choose which you'd prefer to be caught saying (For the record, I also go by Goose and Fuzz, so i have backups for more "family friendly" situations lol)
I love how he says: you can totally watch them if your not trans, and still find them funny, it's okay. And indirectly kind of calls out all the Eggs that have not yet cracked and while watching his videos find the courage and comfort to crack their eggs and realize that they are trans. (totally not talking from experience here /s)
Wait, egg is the official term? I always mentally went for "cocoon" because one time having a imaginary argument I went "Does the butterfly mourn its freaking cocoon?" and I am a poetic non-fucker
I love this. When I first started watching jammies videos in june 2021 and identified as a cis girl back then. Since then, i have come out many times and now identify as genderfluid. His videos really comforted me.
4:08 Here's the thing that comics need to remember: If you're being, “edgy,” you are hitting someone. Are you hitting so hard, you're causing harm? And are you, “punching up,” or “punching down?” Because if you're punching hard enough to cause harm and/or are punching down, you're not being “edgy,” you're being *_abusive._* Being abusive is never okay. *_Never._*
@Li F no, it’s the idea that other people’s struggle, that you aren’t part of, isn’t a joke. It’s the ideas that promote laughing at people who are being killed, who are being excluded from society simply for being themselves. That’s what’s wrong with thinking that you can say whatever you want as long as you call it a “joke”. It’s not helping, it’s hurting. If it’s not your trauma it’s not your place to laugh about it
2:17. I'm ace and when I first realised and started documenting I felt exacly the same thing, it ate up all my time and I felt the need to share it as fast as possible, so that is very relatable
The part about being self-conscious about things that you feel are trans related but aren't is so freaking true. I recently learned that, for example, the best female competitive swimmers are a bit taller than usual, have wider shoulders, more narrow hips, and bigger hands and feet. So, as a trans woman, I don't have a "masculine" build, I have _swimmer's_ build. And these ladies look gorgeous - there's no mistaking them for guys. Learning all of this helps me feel better
There is a rule that I never forget: all trans women are smoking gorgeous! You're gorgeous! /p (sorry if it sounds creepy). Trans women generally have beautiful model-like shoulders, eyes like a majestic eagle, a piercing look, and tall mtf look great in vertical stripes and long, wavy hair. They look like how so many cis ladies WANT to look. Beautiful on the inside, too! Some have that popular 90s "heroine chic" appearance
These videos feel so healing after dealing with transphobes and homophobes. Jamie, you're an absolute delight! Thank you for sharing your cheerful energy. 💕
After a long day, this made me feel better. My friend asked me why i make my whole personality “gay”, even though all i was doing pulling up my pride socks. Thank you Jamie, you made my day a little bit better.
This was great! While I’m not strictly trans but fall under the umbrella as a demigirl I totally related to some of this. My body is more masculine in structure/shape and I’ve always identified with masculinity more than femininity so I remember crying my eyes out in junior high when I had to wear a bra because I was developing a chest and I hated it. Ironically though that’s where the male part of me ends and the rest of me defaults to female so I’ve definitely had interesting experiences with my own brain fighting over which will win on any given day as a result and it’s really rather annoying tbh because it never seems to completely make up its mind sometimes, hahaha.
so, i've recently come out as non-binary to my parents. they have been understanding and supportive, my mom even sent me an article of a mother and her child who are working on a gender neutral clothes line. it was very sweet.
As a boring white female CIS straighty straight straight I love this channel. Jamie has such a great outlook and attitude. And I get to learn about LGBTQ stuff without having an opportunity to drop a clanger or ask something cringingly stupid. This channel deserves all the subscribers ❤️
being cis/white/straight doesn't make you boring! being cis/white/straight is just as valid as any other identity and has its own set of problems and issues unique to you! just because you're not a marginalized group doesn't mean you can't be fun!!!
In the standard classification, my friend and I have agreed that I'm True Neutral, and that feels really nice. I don't love being lawful good, but hey, I don't hate it, and at least I have a name I like(When I'm around the people who address me by that name, that is).
@@lavender3609 it is so baffling to me how many of my friends just straight up choose to ignore my agenderness (pronouns/new name) and just address me as if cis. I’ve learnt to deal with it much better but it’s definitely interesting
I'd be True Neutral since I'm keeping my birth name, albeit with a different meaning, since it turns out it originated as a unisex name. I suppose it's appropriate given that D&D druid classes are True Neutral, and my character is a shapeshifter druid.
Lawful neutral. If we're being fair, it only makes sense that being trans is all consuming for a while. I'll be 33 in five days, and only came out as non-binary last year. It isn't my whole identity, but it's an entire facet of myself that I've never been allowed to discuss. After three decades of repressing my feeling and denying myself, I have an awful lot to say.
BEWARE of Pride Counseling because their parent company sells information (both of therapists and clients. My friend had her home address sold after she already stopped working with them.)
I literally lost a friend for going on bout trans stuff and Agender stuff cause I was so excited to finally find myself and my friend every time I brought it up, instead of being supportive and happy for me, he got annoyed and told me "you put too much focus on gender. It isn't important." and told me basically to shut up about it.
You did the right thing. People who cannot/won't support you … or worse, invalidate you … are _not_ friends and probably never were anything more than acquaintances. No sense in keeping people in your life who harm you.
@@DinosaurNick to be honest a lot of people who are straight and cis don’t understand it. They don’t know the happiness and nervousness and all those feelings we feel while finding out who we are, they usually don’t really care for it either. Most straights I know don’t care or even laugh when I make jokes about lgbtq because they just don’t understand. I suggest getting some lgbtq friends to talk to instead
@@boywithhairlikethis I have a few online. A small few. 1 intersex, 3 genderfluid, 1 agender (like me), a few bi/pan. But irl? I don't have that luxury. I live in a predominately cishet Christian community where I have to hide who I am...
@Phoenix Storm hey I just want to tell you that there are others near you. Like obviously I have no clue what your community is like, but I’m guessing you grew up there - if you are hiding in it, I bet others are hiding too. I hope I get my point across which is that I hope you will find many good friends. (English is my first language but unfortunately words are hard)
The thing I find funniest about this, is just. At the start when Jamie said he was trans, I didn't notice him say that until a rewatch. And I've somehow never realised he himself is a trans man. So when he said that transphobes try telling him he still looks like a woman, I was taken by surprise.
Seriously! If I hadn't watched enough of his videos and heard him talk about it I'd have no idea, I mean come on no unbiased person is going to look at Jamie and say he looks like a woman.
Yeah. I've seen at least three TH-camrs (and maybe their guests) and I would have never guessed..... For some trans people their voice sounds not quite right (yet) but those three TH-camrs I've seen.... I wouldn't have guessed if they didn't mention it.
As a polyfragmented system, I can proudly say, that we are all over the trans name alignment chart. We have at least one person for each of these categories
as a not polyfragmented system, we have someone for *almost* all of them, we don't actually have anyone for LN CE or CN, and our birth name's kinda shared between a few (all of which picked other ones for convenience, but still identify strongly with it)
I just want to say thank you for the casual plurality discussion that prompted me to actually look into the terminology! I am now better informed than I was when I woke up this morning.
1:37 honestly, the vast majority of the time my trans friends only talk about being trans when OTHER people bring it up... The only exception being when something big happens related to it, like starting HRT or being legally recognised.
Yeah, funny how that works. Same happened with me being gay: People accused us of talking about nothing else but being gay, yet _they_ were the ones constantly making an issue of it. Transphobic rhetoric is just homophobic rhetoric with a few words swapped out. And it turns out that a lot of the homophobic rhetoric is repurposed racist rhetoric. The rightwingers really have no new ideas and nothing to go on.
The people who claim you look like a woman in some way really are lying. You're some amazing blend of traditional and alternative masculinity that makes you end up looking like a rugged gentleman. In the wild west you would be the guy who everyone thinks is a well-to-do banker until you reveal you're just a traveling gunslinger who inherited nice clothes and grooming habits from your banker father.
The choosing names thing, i got a bingo! True neutral, chaotic good, lawful evil. My nickname (taken from a character i like) was my nickname for my birthname, isnt unheard of but definitely uncommon and very campy
The youngest in my family has just said they don't feel like a girl. My brother is the perfect and ideal androgynous body type and acts like enough of a girl that you would question it. I'm a genderfluid wreck. My mom got the whole collection
Sorry but now I have the adorable mental image of you and your siblings as "playing cards" like the pokemon ones... Might make for a fun family game "I play Lucian the Genderfluid and activate their effect to turn the field into sludge. Your move"
dude, literally. When I heard that they had people going on their channel saying "still a woman" my brain went "they're trans? wait what?" because I had no idea. They pass super well, legit. The people saying "still look feminine" are blind asf yooo
8:50 , Yeah, some people actually name themselves after crimes! I've met/seen several people who are named Arson. Personally, I'm both lawful good and lawful neutral/neutral evil since I go by multiple names (and the former is Worm, so both my nickname and a noun) but I think there's at least one member of my friend group for every place on this chart lmao
You cannot understand the unadulterated joy I felt over one of my favourite TH-camrs talking about my favourite comedian. I never thought I’d hear about James Acaster in a Jamie video but by god am I happy.
"Day of Silence" is celebrated in the United States on the second Friday in April since 1996. A student-orientated day to end the silencing effect of anti-LGBT bias. Initially created by then-student Maria Pulzetti, the first event was organized by students at University of Virginia in 1996. It is currently organized by GLSEN. In 1997, one year after the day's creation, it went national, with over 100 institutions participating. Whilst there has been some participation from other countries, including New Zealand and Singapore, as of 2021 it is still categorized as a "national student-led demonstration".
the hip meme is sooo true.I shouldn't ever worry about my hips. Honestly I shouldn't be. I don't even fit in most trousers, because they're all too wide. It still makes me so happy when I feel dysphoric and see a guy with very wide hips
I buy trousers too big for my waist so they fit over my hips then my mum sews darts into them to stay up. Perhaps this could help you too if you know how to sew/know anybody that does?
“Feh!” to that dysphoria. I'm a cis-gay-man and I have to buy relaxed-fit pants or I can't fit my big gay azz into them. The waist _could_ close, but their ain't enough fabric to wrap around my butt, unless the pants are relaxed-fit. If I got that much junk in da trunk, it's perfectly normal for trans guys to, as well.
I’m a trans FTM, I usually get deadnamed at school by other students, but the school I go to supports LGBTQ+, so I usually just tell a teacher and they’ll do something
Today's moment of gender euphoria: Some homeless guy called me "bro" when he was asking me if I had the time. I felt really bad that I'd left my phone at home and had to give him a ballpark guess, since he'd just made my day!
I discovered your channel via youtube recommendations (which really surprised me because I myself are cis male and straight and neither cared or searched information about lgbtg topics)and just wanted to say a couple of things: The first video I saw from you actually wasn't about lgbtg topics (i think it was about gendering or feminism) and I thought I was good so i liked it. Then discovered you are actually trans as i got bombarded with your other videos in the youtube recommendations. That may sound stupid to some people that are into that topic ot lgbtq for a long time but my reaction when i found out you are trans i was like ''wtf no way I couldn't tell at all'' which probably is the first thought process of anyone knowing nothing about lgbtq. Because of that you got me interested and i watched a bunch of videos from you. Although your content I mostly comedy I think I understand the lgbtq community a bit more now thanks to you. In the past i actually was rather avoiding it and thought negatively about it but now i don't care anymore to differentiate between lgbtg and straight people. That's the exact process that lgbtq-phobic (if thats the right term i don't know) are missing as you may have noticed. Thanks for enlightening me about that topic and you probably also did for many other people as well keep up the great work. (Also i am german tell me if there are language issues if you are annoyed by them)
I’m so glad that Jaime changes clothes when he does an ad so that if you’re not interested in the thing, it’s a lot easier to skip through, plus if you are interested in it you know when it started so if you miss the first bit you know where to go back to
3:07 - if you ever can't open a jar, get a knife/spoon/anything hard and thin, then hit the jar lid so there's a dent every few centimetres, and it'll loosen so you can open it :)
"You still look like a woman." So like... I wonder how many Cis women they've seen have a flat chest, short hair, facial hair, and a deep, lovely masculine voice.
Thank you so much for your content! Your videos about your relationship with Shaaba have helped my partner and I navigate my own gender journey and how that affects our relationship.
One surprising thing that coming out to my parents did is make me almost doubt myself. I just felt like I went too quickly and that I might've thought wrong about who I am. I do realize now that it's ok if I realize later who I actually am. I think the scariest part is mentioning about name changing. Oh, sorry, I spilled some serious in my happy, yay trans memes! This was exactly what I needed to help pick me up while I was frying bacon! Edit: People are so evil they will say you look like a woman when you really do look like a man (and impeccable at that!). What has this world came to? Edit2: I am chaotic evil or chaotic neutral. My name quite literally means light (in latin). So, I am a noun.
I agree, name change discussion feels like the hardest thing to bring up. I'm pangender and have thought many ties about a more gender neutral name, i'm lucky in so much as my name doesn't cause me dysphoria, it just doesn't feel like my name. But even if I was just changing it as a cis person I think it would feel so hard to bring it up with my mum because she picked those names for me, they're sentimental to her and I worry t would feel like a rejection to her.
yeah I did it a few days ago and my mom's pretty set on me not going on t until I'm 18 and hasn't changed whatsoever for pronouns or name either :/ (I'm actually considering writing an essay including statistics to convince her lmao)
While I typically consider myself Chaotic Neutral or Chaotic Good, In the trans naming sphere, I'm Lawful Good. But only because my birth name is very powerful and I needed that strength (just like when I was born and my mom gave me a strong name because she knew I'd be early and wanted to give me the name of a survivor), so I just gender flipped it. Though I did use the French spelling for my middle name.
I am being FULLY chaotic with my naming (but technically lawful evil on the chart!). I've been jumbling them around for over a year now. I'm at the stage of considering nesting 3 names within the name of a fictional character that I really identified with as a teenager (Lirael = Lily Raven Alexandra), and using that as my middle name and having a different fictional character as my official first name. My logic is: if I have the power to change my name to whatever I want, then I may as well go ham with it. I'm going by Lily for now and will probably keep that as my everyday name, as it's my mum's favourite flower and also a subtle fuck you reference to JK Rowling and my original name, but I'm not sure I want it as my FIRST name. Also my surname begins with an L and I'm not sure I'm down with having my initials as LL/LRAL. It makes my signature really awkward and also LL were the initials of my conformist conservative Grannie who most definitely would NOT have been cool with my transitioning. Anyway ramble over! Have a nice day! :D
My name is similar - Alyssander - but it’s all over the chart. I‘m partly named after a character (Alyss, from Through the Looking Glass), partly it’s a nickname I‘ve used forever and it’s also made up. I originally used it as a nickname because it was similar to one of my middle names, but I‘m intending to keep all my old names and just gender swap them… So my name is also very over the top, as I now have three whole middle names lol
4:57 Well said. A comedia's job is to amuse. Not to spread hatred. And if attacking people is ever amusing, it can onnly be if the subject deserves it -- like transphobes and other bigots. Not like those who are already victims in some other way0
I can understand the argument in the case of an edgy comedian that dunks on everybody and does one transphobic joke. OK, it's a joke, I can not like it and move on. But it's usually not that. Like Acaster says, it's ten minutes of transphobia with a couple of puns thrown here and there probably involving some sort of offensive aircraft. That makes it harder to claim "it is only a joke, chill".
I agree Also It's like *over ten minutes of transphobic, homophobic or general bigoted jokes* Literally anyone: hey could you stop being such a- The Comedian/actually just transphobes in general: CaNcEl CuLtUrE At It'S FinEst And they call us snowflakes? Like if we are so are you
Apparently offenses are most entertaining.... In every subject. Though it can really backfire if the person chooses the wrong side to, well, " joke" about. Isn't it proven that outrage gets the most of attention? Posts about controversial topics with baiting headlines and content.... Gets the most of views. So.... Comedians seem to use that finding as well.
When I first saw your videos, I could not tell you were trans, and I have no clue how anyone could tell that you, or most trans people, weren't their gender. I love your videos, and keep up the good work, man!
Omg! I love this title! As a person in the logistics industry, my managers (cis white guys) constantly use 'trans' as an abbreviation for transportation! And it makes cakkle every single time! 😂🤣 I love it!
Not trans personally, just hate myself and love memes 😅 Cutting my hair really really made such a positive impact though. While I do not know the specific feeling of being in the wrong body, I can empathize with dysphoria and believe everyone deserves the freedom to express themselves however they desire and become the person they picture themselves as. Also I finally made an appointment to discuss mental health stuff and hopefully get a referral to a specialist once I know 100% wtf is going on up there! If you are even thinking about seeing a professional to help with something, please do not wait years and years like I have. If it's bad enough to consider getting help, then it's enough to actually seek it out. You deserve answers and a path to feeling better!
This is so important! I don't really have any severe mental health issues but I did try seeking help for some stuff and it's done me so much good I can only recommend ppl to do the same. Also I cut my hair like 2 years ago and my mom is trying to pressure me into letting it grow again, she's not doing it to be an ass though, she just genuinely things I look better with it longer but it still irritates me, I'm gonna keep my short hair until I tire of it and she doesn't get a say in it.
@@laurainathunderstorm Heck Yeah!! Super proud of you for taking those steps for yourself! My mom was the same and I ended up with hair to my waist until after I was 18. The way she did it was very selfish and manipulative and if she hadn't forced it, my relationship with my hair would be a lot better. But parents do what they do. I'm very glad yours was just a preference turned annoying kind of situation. And I'm glad you're doing so much better overall!
I love the fact that I went from chaotic evil to lawful good. That alignment makes me wanna mourn my birth name only because I was assigned chaotic evil at birth lmao!
I am not sure you know but we currently have an awesome Jeopardy champion who has won about 25 games straight. She has been upfront about being trans and how it affected her. Anyway, she just had the most awesome tweet. “I’d like to thank all the people who have taken the time, during this busy holiday season, to reach out and explain to me that, actually, I’m a man. Every single one of you is the first person ever to make that very clever point, which had never once before crossed my mind .” I just love her attitude.
For the name alignment chart, I’m kinda a mix of all the upper left corner ones (LG, NG, LN, TN). lol My preferred name is Rel. It’s a nickname I made up, by taking the first and last parts of my birth name (which I still use in formal situations, since legally changing my name sounds too daunting to tackle atm). But I also looked it up, and it’s an actual name as well that’s just kind of uncommon. So my name is Ciscore because it’s a real baby name, and isn’t too out there. It’s also kind of a name I made up, because I thought of the name first, before checking if it was already a name or not. It’s also an irl nickname, and I’ve also, technically, still kept my birth name, but I just use the shortened version most of the time. 😅
8:58 not on chart. My parents didn’t know if I was a boy or a girl they were pregnant with me, my sister, or my brother. So as a result we all got 2 names, and my dad had told me my second name which was “William” and even though he’s Mr. Transphobe king of transphobes I robbed him of that name and kept it.
My parents decided to keep the sex secret until I was born too so they picked a female name and a male name. If I was a boy my name would of been “Aidan” but my dad always jokes and says my name would of been “Heinz” after Heinz baked beans. 😭
10:19 no pressure for you, Jammidodger, for that outro saying "thanks for tuning in" makes perfect sense. People 'tune in' to your vids, paying attention. I think it's a good outro.
Give yourself time and be patient with yourself. You're still cooking. 😄 Things will come into focus in their own time. And you are valid. No matter where your True You lies.
I always love the "why do you talk so much about it?" (I'm Ace and have done interviews, articles and such). I don't but that's what we're talking about right now! I would love nothing more than NOT have to talk about it and just carry on my little ace life but there are people who are reading these articles/watching these interviews who still.don't.believe.I.exist!
I would give anything to donate my chesticles to my best friend. We're the perfect match for it. She's always wanted some and I've always not wanted mine.
Can you elaborate what you mean with "chesticles" please? I googled it and found... Female breast, male breast.... something like that. But it can't be both or can it? Idk I'm confused, what exactly does it represent?
I don't get why people think it's dumb to call themselves after their favourite character, when I've met so many cis people whose parents named them after their own favourite character.
I know 2 different babies named after game of thrones characters. Bonus, those babies aren't siblings, two separate parents watched GOT and thought 'gonna name my kid that'.
Thank you! I feel a little silly when I go to explain where I got my name from even though LoZ has meant so much to me growing up and a few years ago (before I realised I'm cisin't) I saw that meme with Link that said "it's my name and I get to choose which character I steal it from" and thought that I'd name myself after Link if I could. So I did 😂
Idk, I think it’s weird when parents name their kids after a character too. Honestly think it’s more weird for a parent to name their kid after a character than for someone to pick their own name as a character name.
9:31 I hate when I'm trying to get somewhere and I accidentally climb onto a trans person instead of a train, makes me late everytime and they don't even apologise to me!

That trans woman starter pack is so accurate, I’m literally a woman, I own clothes, I am trans, I’m 60% water, I listen to the music I like, and I am my height!!
The criteria for being trans are not strict it seems. I am a man and I happen to be trans, so I'm a trans man.
HOLY. FUCK. THAT IS AWESOME. 🥳
Yo, no way? You're your height? That's impossible!
Haha. Yeah, all it takes to be a trans woman, a trans man, or trans nonbinary is to be that gender and to be trans.
@@evil_bratwurst indeed you are a man
Holy shit. You hit all the marks. Congratulations!
@@FrozEnbyWolf150 Well said! I love being enby, and wouldn't change it for anything, but man is it exhausting sometimes.

Fam I am laughing so hard at the "I'm am vibing" bit, lmao, I hope you can understand yourself fully, trans or not
It’s been a year, how’s it going? Listen, there’s no one way to be trans. There’s no right way either. You are you, and who that is is for you to realize. The “all encompassing” bit might go away as you transition, or you may still feel the effects of it. Either way, you’re completely valid!!
Hey @purplesam2609 I hope thing are going well for you and your personal trans mission.

When I came out to my parents and started thinking about names, I literally called them both up and asked what they would have named me if I had been ABAB, and they told me so I picked that to help them still feel included in my life and that they gave me my name.
Abab?
@@rachelcookie321 I assume it means assigned boy at birth?
So funny story:
I used to be super dysphoric about how my body looks.
UNTIL
I was reunited with my oldest half brother who is a decade older than me.
Update for all the people who see this lol:
I recently realized I'm actually a trans man, just a gender nonconforming trans man. anyways, thank you for the support, remember you're all valid
That is an awesome outcome and I'm so happy for you!
im a very slightly overweight 24yo amab enby. my tits are bigger than what should be expected of an amab of my weight. sometimes i do breast growth excersizes to see if it works. i should probably take hormones but i wanna see if this natural diy works. my only dysphoria is body and facial hair but i get called a ma'am if i just shave clean enough. im naturally passing and everyone around me is supportive. im very lucky
@@exquisitebiscuit it actually doesn't sound at all like body dysmorphia.

@Li F no, it’s the idea that other people’s struggle, that you aren’t part of, isn’t a joke. It’s the ideas that promote laughing at people who are being killed, who are being excluded from society simply for being themselves. This was great! While I’m not strictly trans but fall under the umbrella as a demigirl I totally related to some of this.

Arson is a pretty neat name, tbh... It's got a way better ring than "Vehicular Manslaughter"!

I was hoping to find this comment haha I really wanna see more of this kind of comedy!
As a trans woman who could use some more hip... trade?
I buy trousers too big for my waist so they fit over my hips then my mum sews darts into them to stay up. Perhaps this could help you too if you know how to sew/know anybody that does?
@@sluttyMapleSyrup of course! I also have transgirl friend and we joked about how we could just switch bodies and be happy

The waist _could_ close, but their ain't enough fabric to wrap around my butt, unless the pants are relaxed-fit.
If I got that much junk in da trunk, it's perfectly normal for trans guys to, as well.
Off and on topic I want to give Jammi a virtual hug he's so wholesome
I’m a trans FTM, I usually get deadnamed at school by other students, but the school I go to supports LGBTQ+, so I usually just tell a teacher and they’ll do something
Today's moment of gender euphoria: Some homeless guy called me "bro" when he was asking me if I had the time. I felt really bad that I'd left my phone at home and had to give him a ballpark guess, since he'd just made my day!
I discovered your channel via youtube recommendations (which really surprised me because I myself are cis male and straight and neither cared or searched information about lgbtg topics)and just wanted to say a couple of things:
The first video I saw from you actually wasn't about lgbtg topics (i think it was about gendering or feminism) and I thought I was good so i liked it.

Hello fellow neutral evil, I am acorn
I highly enjoyed my first episode of "The Jamie Show" and will be tuning in in the future!
Edit:
People are so evil they will say you look like a woman when you really do look like a man (and impeccable at that!). What has this world came to?
Edit2:
I am chaotic evil or chaotic neutral.
@@arsens.2271 Might I suggest a PowerPoint presentation? Those have always worked best for me when I wanted to convince my parents of something.
@@LittleLilac27 true true pictures probably help too, thanks :)
@@arsens.2271 No problem! Good luck!
It's a good name ;)
I'm an enby and I feel very lucky that my name fits my identity
@@xandercellos9763 yea I went to Alexander Michel. And Xander as a nickname (family still calls me Alex) is unique and I enjoy that.
@@BambiTrout If you're talking about Lirael from the Garth Nix books then hell yes (I mean hell yes anyway but Lirael is cool af)
My name is similar - Alyssander - but it’s all over the chart. I‘m partly named after a character (Alyss, from Through the Looking Glass), partly it’s a nickname I‘ve used forever and it’s also made up. I originally used it as a nickname because it was similar to one of my middle names, but I‘m intending to keep all my old names and just gender swap them…
So my name is also very over the top, as I now have three whole middle names lol
2:37 THE SMILEE
I agree
Also It's like
*over ten minutes of transphobic, homophobic or general bigoted jokes*
Literally anyone: hey could you stop being such a-
The Comedian/actually just transphobes in general: CaNcEl CuLtUrE At It'S FinEst
And they call us snowflakes? Like if we are so are you
Apparently offenses are most entertaining.... In every subject. Though it can really backfire if the person chooses the wrong side to, well, " joke" about. Isn't it proven that outrage gets the most of attention? Posts about controversial topics with baiting headlines and content.... Gets the most of views. So.... Comedians seem to use that finding as well.
Someone should make that butterfly one again, but it's someone not able to buy alcohol because they used to be under 18
Something like "why are you not selling me this bottle??" "Yeah nice try, last I checked you were sixteen" "that was FOUR YEARS ago!"

I just learned that in jeopardy you keep playing after you won.
3:07 This is incredibly true. I ALWAYS need help with opening things. I can barely get child-lock caps open sometimes.
For the name alignment chart, I’m kinda a mix of all the upper left corner ones (LG, NG, LN, TN). lol
My preferred name is Rel.
Transphobe king of transphobes I robbed him of that name and kept it.
thief! good for you >:)

I know 2 different babies named after game of thrones characters. Bonus, those babies aren't siblings, two separate parents watched GOT and thought 'gonna name my kid that'.
