    We just received the Alvantor pop up screen tent. Someone suggested putting a picnic table umbrella in the center to support the roof because the center roof could fill with water. Last weekend camping it rained for 28 straight hours. That's why water is on my mind. I looked for something better on Amazon. Then went to TH-cam up came you. THANK YOU for showing setup and tear down. Because of you I spent more money for a much better product. THANK YOU. Glad Amazon does returns. Also ordered the solid walls.

      That’s awesome! Thank you so much for the comments. We have had ours out in heavy rain and have never had trouble with water pooling on the roof. I hope you enjoy yours as well! Thank you for leaving a comment. Happy travels and safe camping!

    Thanks, I took mine out of the bag and it was a bit confusing. The included setup instructions were subpar. I didn't want to break it so I looked up a video and found yours. Watched the setup portion and went out and had it up in no time. Looking forward to years of use of this handy thing.

    I have one of these and the only drawback I see so far is that the screen is so small that it's hard to get wind through it or a nice breeze... It does keep out the bugs but it would be nice to have some air movement.

    • @TodayisanAdventureDay
      @TodayisanAdventureDay  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      It is certainly a challenge to wrestle, but I get it unstaked from teh ground, open the zipper, take out the two poles by the "door", and then (from the inside of the tent) pull straight down on the top center piece. As the gazebo starts to "collapse" around me, I lean it over onto its side, then gather it all together and put it in the bag. Hope this helps!

    Ty but everyone shows how to put up in a minute or less BUT how about a take down? We bought one and somehow it became inverted, can someone demonstrated the proper technique to take down?

  • @reallifesuvlife9051
    @reallifesuvlife9051 ปีที่แล้ว

    How do you drop the ceiling? On mine it looks like the pull is on the top, outside the tent. Maybe I am doing it wrong.

    • @TodayisanAdventureDay
      @TodayisanAdventureDay  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      When it is time to put it away, I get inside and pop the walls in, then pull on the top centerpiece (from inside the collapsing tent) and then it folds in on me (which is a little awkward) and then I just slip out as it collapses. Not graceful, but super quick and easy.

    So... it appears the rain could potentially seep right underneath the added weather walls. Perhaps they should add an outer flap to go over the walls.

    • @TodayisanAdventureDay
      @TodayisanAdventureDay  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      That is certainly true. The panels function well as a sun and wind block, but not super effective to keep rain from coming in between the panel and the screen.

    We are about to order the Gazelle G6 as we are newbies to RV camping. We get our RV in March (have tent camped for years). My question is do you have more than 3 of the side panels or would 3 be enough? How many do y’all have? Thank you for these videos we so enjoy them

      Glad you were enjoying the videos! I hope you love RV camping as much as we do. We did purchase all six side panels. I believe they were sold in sets of three. I do not think we have ever used more than three at a time. Good luck and happy camping!

    • @pappydc12
      @pappydc12 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Adding to this comment- We have all 6 panels. We have a trailer and camp year-round. Used the G6 in freezing weather with all 6 panels. Add in a Buddy heater and you can be toasty in a pinch. I can drop the panels down during the day and button up at night. We have a couple of small tables and use the area to cook and lounge around. I think the newer G6 model has an "apron" on the top edges to help seal everything a little better.

    Hello 👋🏼 I'm sorry if I missed this in the existing comments, but do you know the interior length of the wall/panel?
    My plan is to put a foldable table inside the gazebo but I don't want it to extend too far on either side and take up too much space.
    Thank you 😁!

      @TodayisanAdventureDay  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I can't find the exact dimensions of each wall panel. We sometimes put it over the top of a large picnic table, or we put a couple of folding chairs in the middle with a folding table on the side. There has always been plenty of room. Here are the specs from their website:
      MODEL: GG601DS
      CAPACITY: 8 PEOPLE
      HEIGHT: 86"
      SET UP SIZE: 124" x 124"
      FLOOR SPACE: 92 sq. ft.
      COLLAPSED SIZE: 8" x 8" x 73"
      WEIGHT: 34 LB
      STAKES: 12 ALL-TERRAIN STAKES
      GUY LINES: 5
      DOORS: 1 LARGE MAIN ENTRANCE

    Tried leaving a comment, but looks like it didn't "stick"? Anyway, we just ordered one of these for ourselves. I've heard someone say it can become uncomfortably hot inside. Welcome to the channel. We're thrilled to have you as new subscribers. Yes, it can certainly get hot inside. We have fixed that issue by running an extension cord inside and then we turn on a small fan. Totally does the trick. We also run some "party lights" inside for some atmosphere. I was extremely frustrated with this gazebo. To my disbelief, it arrived inside out, causing us significant inconvenience. It took us an entire afternoon and the following morning to rectify the situation. We had to painstakingly remove the top poles and reverse the gazebo, encountering numerous tangles and obstructions along the way.
    It was an absolute nightmare! Finally, after persistently trying, we managed to get it to open the correct way. Reversing it proved to be the solution, allowing it to unfold properly and function as intended. When closing, it now inverts correctly, without any issues.
    Initially, when we attempted to set it up, the logos faced the wrong way, preventing the walls from popping out as they should. It was incredibly frustrating and required a tremendous amount of effort. The strain it put on the tent's fabric was almost unbearable. Considering the circumstances, I'm uncertain whether we received a defective unit, but the entire experience was nothing short of a horror show. It didn't help that we were wrestling with it in scorching 30+ Celsius weather, living in Canada.
