I remember when Asda was the Renault garage where I purchased my first car a Renault R8. Before then taking the short cut betwen what was there before the garage and the farm down to Jammies pond and the slag heaps behind how its changed. 😢
@@flybyphil1361 I can remember the tin houses being built Lillydale Rd my elder brother Ken remembers the farm that stood in that area he used to help the farmer. Also the old slag heap at the bottom of Wooliscroft Rd where we used to sleigh down in winter. All before Bentillee estate was built.

It's a retirement village for the over 55s and possibly for disabled as well .
