  • Hulton Abbey is a relic of medieval England, but it was mostly destroyed and forgotten for many years. The area has been covered with a farm and even a school. But its rediscovery led to years of archaeological excavations with some incredible finds that show the complex history of the abbey and Stoke-on-Trent through the years, making Abbey Hulton one of the most historically important local areas that we can still visit and enjoy today.

I lived in Stoke for five years and left reluctantly but with very fond memories and friends still there. Always enjoy your videos and love that accent! Please give us more.

As a Stokie from Bucknall, I never knew the history of Hulton Abbey. Fascinating. Thanks for posting. What about some history of Bucknall, Bagnall, Endon or Mow Cop in future vids? Subscribed.✌️💯😮

@@TheRedHairedStokie I'm originally from Bucknall (Central Ave), later Eaves Lane (Townsend, Bucknall) and now am living over in Ireland. Still I remain a Stokie at heart and am enjoying your vids tremendously, so cheers for the posts.

The site currently is a disgrace, a blot on the landscape of what, if our council had any vision at all, could be a real tourist attraction.. There is so much known history of Hulton Abbey. But, that's typical of Stoke on Trent city council. Absolutely zero interest in heritage and history.
