Poor combustion, most likely due to the incorrect installation of your fuel line from the pump to the heater. The fuel line MUST follow a continual uphill incline from pump to heater, I noticed you have loop in your fuel line, this will be trapping air bubbles and will cause poor combustion. Also make 100% certain that your nylon fuel line is pushed flush against the steel nipple on the pump and the heater, if not, you will trap air bubbles. Air bubbles act like damper, and will cause poor fuel delivery to the heater.
I don't know much about diesel, diesel engines or heaters, but smoke that is white usually indicates water - possibly water in the diesel? I understand water can be condensate from within the tank. If so, you might be able to install a water filter for this.

i got super cheap one and it has always works been 3yrs i live high up so always on reduce fuel setting . i do run diesel kleen
