I own three Silvel diesel heaters. The first one I bought two years ago and the other two I bought a month ago and they are an upgraded model. The first one that I bought I have been using for two Winters now just outside my master bedroom window to keep the bedroom nice and toasty without having to crank up the furnace. The reason I bought two more of them is because my first one has been so reliable. The other two are used for fall and winter hot tent camping. I stopped using wood stoves because they are so inconvenient and you cannot keep your tent warm at night when sleeping because you have to continuously add wood to the stove. Although I do love the wood stoves the diesel heaters are much more convenient. Just make sure you take them apart check that everything is screwed on nice and tight and replace those fuel lines that will cause them to leak later on. Another thing I've replaced on all three is the fuel pump. There is a fuel pump out there on Amazon that is also a water separator and filter. They are longer but they are quieter and the bottom part is the filter mesh and glass screwed onto the bottom. These pumps can be taken apart to get the water out of the filter portion and any debris that collects. In other words they are reusable. You can find them on Amazon for about $25 and they are a major upgrade to these heaters. I wish I could add a picture of the pumps that I am using but unfortunately TH-cam will not allow it on the comments section. I might have to do a video review of them later on so everyone can see them and perhaps purchase them. I'm not affiliated with the company that makes these upgraded fuel pumps.
I love my Silvel heaters. I have bought 3 so since my first one has been so reliable. I have one outside my master bedroom, older Silvel model. Runs flawlessly to keep the bedroom toasty in the winter without having to crank the furnace up. My other 2 upgraded models of the Silvel heaters are used for fall and winter tent camping. I don't use wood stoves anymore, they are very inconvenient.
Remember, you can replace the displays with anyone with the same plug... I bought a new receiver/sender for mine, so I have the display on the remote.. Hcalory color remote..
By the way I have seen quite a few TH-cam influencers that have purchased the vivor diesel heaters and it seems like many of them have had issues and error codes with them.
@@CoddiwompleOverland Here I thought diesel trucks run using pistons compressing to create power and the heater uses a turbine. Good to know they are the same.

Thanks for the info.
I ordered a longer supply hose for my sivel heater on amazon 16 foot 3 inch for around 17.00 I have the exact same Sivel heater you are showing here
We had a problem of it overheating and shutting off with a long 3 inch hose. We adapted a 4 inch hose and that fixed the issue

Wow, I'm really surprised they run the fuel hose that close to the exhaust outlet. Seems like over time that's a disaster waiting to happen!
Possible.

Newbie here when it comes to these heaters. They just use regular diesel, correct?
Yes
By the way I have seen quite a few TH-cam influencers that have purchased the vivor diesel heaters and it seems like many of them have had issues and error codes with them.
We did have a code after we put a longer 3 inch hose to it. We upgraded to a 4 inch hose and have not had any more problems
I saw in another video, a commenter said that this does not create carbon monoxide, like propane heaters do. Is that correct?
These heaters force air over the combustion chamber. None of the combustion exhaust comes into the heated area
Another great review!
Thanks Bennie!
Any thoughts on the 55 dollar ones on ebay?
Sorry, we have no experience with those
What about electric for the glow plug to heat up ?
We use a portable power station to run it
Does the heater run the same diesel as truck? Thanks
Yes

🤣🤣🤣@@MrTaylorfenoglio
He asked if it used the same diesel as a truck, NOT if they were the same motor ...😂😂
Diesel is 6.00 a gallon in calif
Wow
