The D version has a vesa mount & the C version does not. Thank you!

Looks like a good monitor for writing code on. Sharp text. Wish these monitors came without speakers and headphone jack just to keep the price down, reliability and for aesthetic reasons. What's the point when your device will have access to better quality sound.
Also, I wonder if the stand, shown in the video, can hold the monitor in a stable portrait mode. Useful to read documents in portrait mode.

It can but you'll get little adjustments as you'll have to angle it upwards so it doesn't tip. I wouldn't recommend it.
It sometimes goes on sale usually end of the month aliexpress do a sale with coupon codes so it can be had for a better price!

@@VrtuhubTech I think the CX133-D-2.5K has vesa (75mm mounting holes) while the CX133-C-2.5K doesn't. So I could use a vesa stand as they are usually more sturdier. I wonder if the CX133-C-2.5K has a magnet on the back for mounting on arms and stands (I'm speculating).

@@michaelm4407 I haven't tested but aluminium generally isn't magnetic getting something with vesa support would be ideal for stability and confidence. Uperfect has this really cool looking one but it's a but pricey s.click.aliexpress.com/e/_Dd6X6MF

@@VrtuhubTech Not sure if these pivot stand mounts are strong enough to hold portable monitors without wilting. Much prefer the ones where you lock into place and forget. The fun now is looking for one at a cheap price.

The WALI (MF001) looks like a solid option and just £18 on Amazon.

Does it have DDC/CI support for brightness control? Is it hard to find DDC support on portable monitors like these? I see a bunch on aliexpress that are very interesting but DDC is a dealbreaker. Thanks for reviewing these products, it's hard to find information.

I'll check this for you tomorrow. The vchance monitor I reviewed previously does have this feature as I have checked and confirmed it for that one. There's a section on DDC in the written review for that here www.vrtuhub.com/tech/658ab11b014757ae46f6

I tested the Unew CX133-D which is the vesa mount version of this monitor (one on the review is CX133-C) and using monitorian I was able to adjust brightness from my computer when attached using HDMI cable. It was buggy at first and the monitors OSD glitched out for a few seconds but seems to be working fine now. Hope this helps and I'd you do end up buying consider using our affiliate link to support the channel s.click.aliexpress.com/e/_EGEXUNL thank you

I have to say, it does look good.
The poor quality 3.5mm would be a deal killer for me if I was planning on using it as my main monitor. Otherwise it looks fine.
    Thanks for the good review.
Out of curiosity, why didn't you run the game at the native resolution? It doesn't make any difference for the video, but just curious.
EDIT: ok, I thought this was a 1080p monitor, but it being 1440p makes sense about the 1200p testing.
WAIT, why is it such a high resolution? lol

The mini PC I was using might have struggled to get a steady 60fps at native resolution but 1200p still looked sharp. 😁 I'm not sure what the issue is with the audio jack they all sound so tinny. I bought a pair of vintage canon speakers (yeh they once made speakers) will be doing a restoration video soon 😁
