I bought a Y-11 in ‘97. I’ve rebuilt it with disc brakes, upgraded wheels, air fork and air shock. A great frame when upgraded with newer technology. 26lb cushy trail bike that handles better than anything else I‘ve tried. The final upgrade will be 1x12 this winter.
I had a Y3 bake in 97 till i cracked the frame in 2000 paid the extra to upgrade to a VRX frameset Cracked two swingarms and the welds on the bottom bracket but still have my VRX in the garage that i use every once in awhile
I had a Y bike back then I remember fondly getting it but it wasn't really great to ride, better that the RST I traded it for but far worse than the LTS I got next... The Y bike had the looks 😂

I'm considering buying a y22 from someone, is it fairly easy to make the switch to disc brakes?
Buen video para los amantes de las Trek clásicas. Como aficionado al modelo "Y" he disfrutado mucho viendo su fabricación. Gracias.

My Y-11 rips up the trail still. American made.
