I do note that when you set 5 as the point you correctly placed $10 odds, but for beginners, it should be noted that no matter how much you do in odds on the 5 and 9, most casinos will strongly suggest if not make you do an even dollar amount on odds.

these are great videos. If you go to vegas most casinos offer free classes right on the floor on how to play craps also which is awesome. I took the class and the first time I played I layed $100 down hour later cashed out at $278. I only played the pass, the odds, the hards and once I played the horn 11 for $5 and hit $75. Best game at the casino by far.
This video is by far the easiest to understand craps tutorial I have ever seen. The pace of the play and explanation was just the right speed for me to soak it in and understand what the hell was going on. One question I have (also) is some casinos I've been to the craps tables have varying payouts on the hard/high/low bets. Your table has 10:1 for hard 8 (for example) my local Indian casino is 9:1 and the any craps is 4:1. I guess it's up to the casino?

AGREED! I'm watching through all of them to see if he explains those odds. The first video, it was exactly what you bet ($5 in the pass line won you $5, and $10 behind it won you $10), this time is was more ($5 in the line and $12 for the $10 behind it) so I'm lost as to why it went up.
@@TheAllyforever08 he said he messed up on the first video. The numbers 6&8 pays $6 dollars to every $5 true odds wagered. He had $10 true odds so he received $12 (6 to every $5) . So 5&9 pay 3 to every $2 and 4&10 pays 2 to every $1.
after you hit the point and youre on the 2nd come out roll you left the place bets up if you did roll a 7 the pass line wins but do you lose the place bets or are they safe well the puck is off ?

I turn 21 in a couple months and am going to go rn Vegas, of course, so I wanted how to play some of the games so thank you and I will continue to watch the rest of these. My only question which I don’t believe that has been answered yet but what if at some point I want to add more money to my pass line bet? Like instead of 5 have 20 on it am I allowed to? I'd the dice land flat on the felt after hitting some chips, the roll is called as the dice show. If one or both of the dice have something under them, the number rolled is determined by asking yourself, what would the number be if the obstruction was removed.
Once a point number is ON like a 5, you place chips out on the COME area and tell the dealer to place the 6 and 8. 6 and 8 have to be in multiples of $6. So $6 on a $5 minimum table or $12 on a $10 minimum table. Place bets can be made after the point number is established and can be taken down anytime before a roll by telling the dealer to take them down.
Can you cancel your Pass Line Bet between rolls, or are you committed to keep the bet until you crap out or get your number? Thanks for the easy understanding rules of craps.
Not sure if anyone has answered or not, but according to the wiki page, you can't remove your pass line bet while the puck is off, until a point is made (so the point is set, and the shooter rolls that number) or the shooter "sevens-out" (rolls a 7 when there is a point set) -- I'm in the process of learning as well, so I'm combining the wiki's REALLY wordy explanation and this guys examples, so here's what I got. So lets say the point is set at 8. You can remove the pass the bet ONLY IF you roll an 8, or a 7. If the point was set at 4, you could only remove it if you roll a 4 or a 7.

Betting your odds arent "One of the best bets in the casino" it is, singularly, the best bet in the casino and should always be done....preferably bet at the max.
i believe the place bets only "Lose" while the shooter is trying to hit his point again. You can have them working during a "Come Out roll" and if a 7 is thrown they will lose here too. They normally are not working during a come out unless you ask your dealer to have them working. He will put a little button that says "ON" to remind himself to pay you.
This doesn't seem like a very good game for the house. ;) What would be the best game for someone looking to have some smalltime drinking fun with friends playing as the house.

When the puck says Off, the Place bets are off. They can't win or lose.
When you put a point bet are you committed until someone craps our? Like you can’t take off your point bet right?

You can always add to your Pass line bet, but that would be stupid.
You should add an Odds bet behind your Pass line bet.
Before point is set, if you leave your place bets on and a 7 is rolled, do you lose your place bets or are they not in play until point is set?

What happens if i hit something obstructing my dice throw (like if the dice lands on the chips) ?

Don't touch it. It's basically the same bet as the 6 and 8 place bet, but instead of paying 7 to 6, it pays even money with a huge house edge.

Any casino wants you to put an even dollar amount in Odds when the point is 5 or 9.
Generally, you can add up to 4X your Pass line bet in Odds.
