I just bought one - the minute I jumped on it I know it was the right bike for me. I'm 35 and haven't bought a bike since middle school. This was fun and handled a lot like the mountain bike I had as a kid (Schwinn Mesa). But was stiffer, a bit more nimble and easier to drive. Awesome bike for keeping up with my family, and a lot of fun to take out on my own when I want to go blow off some steam. Like I said, I'm 35 and definitely qualify as "Dad Bod." But I wasn't ready for the full on sit up straight hybrid. As one reviewer said: "this is the bike 10 year old you would want you to have." Just fun...and it looks bad ass.
Totally. It's also a very capable bike. I ha e taken it on mountain bike trails, (a mountain bike would be 10x better) with the wide tires, no problem. Also for regular neighbirhood rides, you can hop curbs, ride gravel and grass easily.
Indeed that is it's "specialty." I can't do the roughest trails or the fastest times, but I can go almost anywhere I need to, in comfort. Road, grass, gravel. Jumping curbs and steps. I've even ridden it in the railroad tracks for about a quarter of a mile. Won't do that again! Lol, it was too rough on me, but the bike handled it with ease.
Have the same bike! Surfin You Tube and here it is...I have had mine for over a year and change. After Walmart/Schwinn bikes falling apart, I thought $600 was a lot! ( it is and it isint...) this bike makes me feel like a kid. I started with 5 mile rides and now do 25-30 for fun. The bike gets compliments all the time. The tires are a bit thin, so stock up on patch kits and spare tubes- I average about 2 flats a month on urban paths. Upgraded to a Trek Dual Sport 4 as my skills increased. ( and got bit by the bike bug.) I still take this bike on say 3 out of 10 rides. I am 6' and ride the large. My wife is 5'1 and rides the small - she could do an extra small and she pumps out 12 mile rides all the time. We are 59 year old Boomers and feel like we are 15 again when we go ride! lucky you if you can find one - they are an awesome bike for fun, 20 mike round trips.
@@turbostatic1 that is true, I've had an issue here and there with the wide handlebars. All in all, I like the stability they offer me, but getting in and out of doors, riding between parked cars and sneaking by certain trees has been problematic at times.
I just went outside and measured them. They are 28 inches across. They are really wide. Difficult to ride between parked cars. More stable on rougher terrain. It's a hybrid.
Not very far. Maybe 5-7 miles. Honestly, a road bike would be better for longer ride. It's a perfect hybrid, not a specialized road or mountain bike, but exactly in between.

I am loving it. It's a great everyday, do anything bike. With a $2000 road bike, going for a ride is a big deal with a lot of preparation and planning. This one sits there ready for me to jump on it at a moment's notice. I ride with jeans and sweaters or shorts and t-shirts. Just a half second decision time to get out and ride. That's the best part. For me, it's the most expensive bike I've ever owned, but I don't treat it like a fancy heirloom. Kind of like a G-Shock watch.
@@vinnyg101 it's excellent exercise. I bought a $99. Bike from Walmart and it served it's purpose, but real fast I realized I needed something more substantial. More quality.
